IFB, been using this since 1992 in my two residences. Go for the simplest front loading model with mechanical switches, not digital. This was told by their own service guy. Service is quick and my main machines get 1 load a day, sometimes 2 loads. Make sure the machine is level. Keep filters clean and use the minimum amount of the proper detergent

SOLVED What is it, what would need to be fixed. It was all over the front, recently cleaned it with paint thinner and this is how it looks after a day. I'm assuming the springs are also gone because the drum shakes vigorously and moves the Machine at high rpm, could it be somehow related. The machine is an IFB (Indian brand) Elena Aqua Steam 6KG front-load washing machine. Location: India. SOLVED by u/XGempler Melting PCB coating. Two links describing the issue… One of these links includes a DIY repair that involves cleaning the board and coating it with hot glue, but that seems sketchy to me as hot glue has a pretty low melting point. A new board is likely the only real solution but may not be economical, particularly if the machine is old. Yes, buy FrontLoad - Bosch/IFB preferably, LG is good too if budget is lower. Readthisfirst has an excellent guide- just google.

If you want to BIFL, buy a fronr loading one. We've had good experience with Bosch and IFB. I prefer Bosch though. Can't go wrong with Panasonic either imo

Have the 18kg LG washing machine one of the expensive models in the market for 60k. Every 4 months it has some error. Replaced sensors and whatnot. Had a 1 yr warranty. Replaced PCB and sensor in the warranty period. Spent 20k in last 2 years to keep it sane. It is like a ticking problem bomb. Will never buy LG again. Have bought a secondary front load IFB now, works like a charm and it has 4 year comprehensive warranty. Go for IFB.
