Front Load Washing Machine

We moved into our place in late 2019, purchased all new appliances and so far we are on our 2nd dishwasher, our 2nd dryer and our 3rd washing machine. We started out with all Bosch (German made variants) and the washing machine heat pump gave up just outside of warranty... got it repaired for $400 and then 2 weeks later the barrel of the machine is spinning like a lazy hula hoop. The repair mob said they only come out to site once and we'd have to bring the machine to them for further repairs. Decided to cut our losses as transporting the thing was not possible and there was no indication of what the cost of repairs would even be. So that was annoying but surely an anomaly. Then the LG washer that we replaced that with had to be repaired, within warranty, a few months into having it. It had a defect that made it incredibly noisy. 2 years later and just out of warranty its leaking and throwing up several error codes. I learnt my lesson and had purchased extended warranty so it was repaired. It worked for 3 days before it started doing the same thing again. Repair mob came back out and said they cant fix it- landfill. Extended warranty paid out the value of the machine for us to get a replacement. We'll see how #3 goes. Dishwasher, also German Bosch, died, paid to get it repaired, worked for a week and started flooding itself again. No indication that the problem could be fixed- landfill. The Bosch dryer, hasnt dried clothes properly for years (unless it takes 6 hours), have paid for a service on it, still no improvement- soon to be landfill. Large Samsung tv, also landfill. Two smaller Samsung tvs in a row- had faults and ended up being replaced with a Sony- presumably when the store took the two Samsungs back they ended up in landfill. Is this normal these days?? Its quite confronting to think of all these large objects just having to be discarded in such a short timeframe. I feel like my parents had an old beater of a washing machine that went into its teens yet we cant get more than 3 years!

\[Edit on April 2nd: Bosch made a full replacement with a new unit. 3 Months doing the dishes by hand should have been avoided though. Best Buy never came back to us and is apparently going rogue on their review policy, likely fighting against Amazon, who is inflicting them an unfair, dominant competition. We tried to leave an honest review on Best Buy to share our experience with the product and the warranty process. We were told reviews are only allowed within 15 days of purchase. We have a screenshot of the chat confirming this. If true, this raises a few concerns: 1. The Consumer Review Fairness Act prohibits companies from restricting consumers from leaving honest reviews. First impressions are useful, but real feedback comes with experience. 3. If negative reviews tend to happen later in ownership, limiting reviews to 15 days would artificially inflate product ratings. Does not look good! Has anyone else run into this with Best Buy? Is this standard policy? We’re not exactly thrilled to be washing dishes by hand in 2026 after paying for “peace of mind.”

Hi! Please help, because I am at a loss for solutions. I recently moved in with my partner, and for some reason, some of my whites turn grey in her washing machine (Bosch EcoSilence Drive Serie 2). I don't mix whites with other colors and use white laundry detergent. Sometimes it will happen that entire socks get a grey-like wash over them, but other times it will happen that certain parts of my clothes turn a dark grey (as seen in the pictures, the bra used to be completely white, and the unicorns on the socks used to be white too!) I know it might be because of certain materials used in clothing, but 1) this then still isn't supposed to happen, and 2) this never happened with any other washing machine that I've had (which is like 3). What I have done so far: \- Multiple cleaning cycles, with a dishwasher tablet or soda and/or vinegar, all at 90° \- Cleaned the inside of the washing machine, including the rubbers \- Cleaned the basket where you put I thought it might also be because she needs to wash her black kitchen work pants (she's a chef), but she washes them at like 30° for 30 mins. According to the internet, this is too cold and too short for the washing machine to really get rid of all the oils and fats that get stained in her pants, but also of the black color that's in them. So now everytime she washes her pants, I make sure to do a cleaning cycle with soda at 90° so I feel like we've covered this base? Please help, my clothes are getting ruined :(
