“Razer declined my international RMA… so I sent a dramatic reply. It worked”
So here’s the situation.
I bought a Razer mouse in Singapore. Later moved to Australia. The first unit had issues and was replaced as a one-time exception because of the cross-country situation.
soon in about 3 months the replacement mouse wheel button started acting up. I try to RMA it here in Australia. Support tells me, One time Exception request decline and outside the 90-day window.
Fair enough, policy is policy. But I was honestly frustrated this is supposed to be a premium gaming mouse.
Instead of going nuclear, I sent a slightly funny reply saying I might just switch to Logitech if that’s how international coverage works.
Next day, a different rep escalated it and got the replacement approved.

**Disclaimer:** MCAPS were sent to me for review, but this post reflects my genuine experience and personal opinions after a week of daily use. No one reviewed or approved this write-up before posting.
I've been using the MCAPS Aluminum Keycaps for about a week now, and I think I've spent enough time with them to share some thoughts beyond the initial "metal keycaps are cool" reaction.
The biggest thing you'll notice immediately is the feel. Compared to PBT and ABS, aluminum keycaps have a much more solid, dense feeling under your fingertips. They're also noticeably cooler to the touch, which is something I ended up liking more than I expected.
As for the sound, they definitely change the character of the board. On my setup, the keycaps added a subtle metallic resonance and made keypresses sound more defined. It's not an overwhelming "pingy" sound like some people might expect, but there is a distinct metal signature. Whether that's a positive or negative depends entirely on what you're looking for. If you're chasing the deepest marble-like thock possible, these probably aren't for you. If you want something unique that stands out from the sea of PBT sets, they're worth considering.
Build quality has been excellent so far. The finish feels smooth and consistent, legends are clean, and after daily use I haven't noticed any wear or issues with the coating. The keycaps also fit securely on the switches with no stem-related concerns during my testing.
One thing I was curious about before trying them was the weight. Yes, they're heavier than standard keycaps, but in actual use I stopped noticing it after a day or two. It didn't negatively affect typing or gaming for me.
Since these are aluminum keycaps, I was also curious about potential Hall Effect compatibility issues. My testing was done on a Wooting 60HE v2 with Cullinan switches, and I experienced no interference, calibration issues, or abnormal behavior. Everything performed exactly as expected throughout the week.
For gaming, everything felt normal. No issues with responsiveness or comfort during longer sessions. The Cherry profile keeps the typing experience familiar, so there's not much adjustment period if you're coming from traditional Cherry-profile keycaps.
Pros
Premium look and feel
Cool-to-the-touch aluminum surface
Unique sound profile
Clean legends and solid finish
No Hall Effect interference in my testing on a Wooting 60HE v2
Surprisingly affordable for aluminum keycaps
Cons
Metal acoustics won't appeal to everyone
Less versatile than a good PBT set if you're constantly changing boards
Fingerprints can be more noticeable depending on lighting and colorway
Final Thoughts
After a week, I don't think MCAPS are trying to replace my favorite PBT sets. Instead, they offer a completely different experience. The sound, feel, and overall presentation make them stand out in a market where most keycaps feel very similar.
If you've been curious about aluminum keycaps but couldn't justify the price of traditional CNC sets, I think MCAPS are a pretty easy recommendation. The fact that they worked flawlessly on my Wooting 60HE v2 with Cullinan switches is another nice bonus for anyone running a Hall Effect setup.
Not for everyone, but definitely one of the more interesting keycap sets I've used this year.

“What's the Best Gaming Keyboard To Buy Right Now?”
I’m looking to upgrade my gaming keyboard and wanted to get some real-world opinions from people who have tried different options to find the best. I mainly play FPS games and some MOBAs, but I also do a lot of typing, so I’m trying to find something that offers great gaming performance without sacrificing comfort or typing feel. I’m open to mechanical, optical, or magnetic switches, as well as full-size, TKL, or smaller layouts, and I don’t mind whether it’s wired or wireless. Budget isn’t fixed—if it’s genuinely worth the price, I’m willing to spend more.
***Some keyboards on my radar are:***
* ***Wooting 80HE***
* ***Razer Huntsman V3 Pro***
* ***Keychron***
* ***Logitech pro***
So what's the best gaming keyboard you currently using? What do you like or dislike about it? And if you had to buy again today, would you choose the same one?
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

“best mechanical keyboard under 150 - need a solid gift for my bf”
First, I also recommend looking at Keychron for people looking to start in nicer keyboards. They’re not the end game but they are easily in that “good enough” space for most people.
Wired would technically be better for gaming but it doesn’t make that much of a difference unless you’re ultra competitive. Like making money off it.
My favorite layout is a TKL. It’s basically the same as a full size with the 10 key chopped off. I prefer that over anything smaller as I don’t like the nested arrow keys.
Check out Hipyo Techs videos. He has tons of reviews on keyboards from the cheapest budget boards to the ones so expensive no one ever buy them lol.
Good luck. This rabbit hole goes deep.
Edit: my personal favorites are the Wooting HE80 with Gateron Jade Max switches and the Nyphy Gem80 with Jupiter Banana switches

Hey guys, I've been trying hard to get myself a nice setup and now finally, my room has been renovated and my PC is built, I wanted the room to not have much cable clutter so tried to make most of the cable not visible or able to disappear, anyways, here's the final results!

Headphones: generic one for now, plan to upgrade but RAM made me bankrupt
Keyboard: Evofox Ronin Wired (ik it's a huge outlier here but gotta cut costs ig)
Mouse: Evofox Blaze (literally the same reason as kb but I do plan to upgrade soon)
Chair: nope, a random office chair which doesn't even have proper back support but cushions are nice, will *also* upgrade this, planning on a 4.2k ish office chair I saw on Flipkart (has lumbar support and all although it won't be very good, u can't really get worse than my current)
Speaker setup: a 5.1.2 surround (LG SC9S with SPQ8 rear) had this laying around so I put it to use, Dolby Access allows me to use Dolby Atmos on it for free since the Soundbar os already certified.
Let me know what you guys think and do give me suggestions! Also, I have two bookshelves in here, a wall covered with curtains and a second wall covered with thick ply, only a third wall's left bare, do you think acoustic treatment on it would make any difference? Even a tiny one?
It's a lot of noise and I thought would detract from the thread. It's all me giving them the same info over and over. I was never rude to them but I acknowledge me not showing my responses can cast doubt that I was a dick to them.

“Should I buy the NuPhy Node 100? Also, has anyone ordered from the CtrlShift Store?”
Hey everyone! I finally decided to get a new mechanical keyboard. Way too many hours of research have led to the NuPhy Node 100. But, before I pull the trigger, I'd like some advice from people who know what they're doing!
A little context — I do a lot of coding and general productivity work. Long hours at the desk, lots of typing, not much gaming. So I really just need something comfortable, reliable, and wireless. My budget is purely for the keyboard — around **₹11,000–12,000 max**.
The specific variant I'm eyeing is the **High-Profile Lunar White with Brown Max switches** at **₹10,799** on a store called [**CtrlShift Store**](https://ctrlshiftstore.com/products/nuphy-node-100). The keyboard itself checks pretty much every box for me — full-size 100% layout with numpad, gasket mount, 2.4GHz wireless, hot-swap support, and a solid battery life. I'm buying online since I haven't seen this one available locally anywhere.
Here's what's making me hesitate though — it's currently a **pre-order shipping around 20th May**, and they have a strict **no-cancellation, no-refund policy**. That's nearly ₹11k with zero safety net. The store only has 2 reviews on their site — one of them does say the keyboard arrived in great condition and support was responsive, but honestly, two reviews isn't exactly positive.
So a few things I'd love the community's input on:
Has anyone here ordered from **CtrlShift Store** before? Are they legit and trustworthy, or should I be looking elsewhere? Also, for a typing-heavy use case, are the Brown Max switches a solid choice, or would you recommend going with a different variant?
And if the Node 100 just isn't worth it at this price, I'm totally open to alternatives — as long as they're full-size (the numpad is non-negotiable for me), wireless, and available in India within the same budget.
Appreciate any help; genuinely don't want to regret a non-refundable order!

75% is preferred but a 68 key or 60% is not out of the range for me too.

“HID and keyboards duplicates causing input issues”
Hello.
Some weeks ago I discovered on Device Manager that I had a lot of duplicate entries for the same devices, some of them hidden. Coincidentally, I started experiencing input issues when playing videogames during this time period. Things like holding down A not working or working intermittently, my PS5 controller having issues holding down buttons too and my keyboard not being recognized when turning on the computer until I replug it.
I even bought a completely new keyboard thinking my hardware was just old and damaged but nope, today the issues began again and once I opened the device manager I found the exact same thing that happened weeks before.
Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Please help, I'm about to do a factory reset as nothing has worked.
Some things that might help diagnose this:
* This started happening around 6 months ago. Only 2 months ago did I start getting bothered enough to try and fix it. It has worsened since then.
* My new keyboard is a Keychron Q3, it's completely new and I've taken care of it so I know for a fact it's not damaged.
* My PS5 controller is way older, but some weeks ago when I uninstalled some of these ghost entries, my X went from barely being able to perform a full jump in Hollow Knight to actually being able to beat the game so this points towards not being hardware wear. Currently, my Triangle and my X buttons are causing issues from not registering inputs to not being able to hold down the button.
* Some days, I can play perfectly fine with everything working as intended and some days I can't even last a minute without the input issues messing with the gameplay.
Things that I have already tried:
* Ran SFC which found and repaired some system files.
* Ran DISM which restored several corrupted HID driver files including xinputhid.inf, hidbth.inf, hidbthle.inf, input.inf, mshidkmdf.inf, mshidumdf.inf and others.
* Tested the controller in the native Windows game controller test with all games and Steam closed, confirming the issue happens at the OS level independent of any game or software.
* Updated Windows, BIOS, and chipset INF drivers.
* Updated controller and keyboard firmware to latest version.
* Reinstalled Microsoft GameInput after finding it was crashing with error code 0xc0000005 in Event Viewer. (This was completely irrelevant as it did not fix anything at all, but worth mentioning I guess)
* Disabled USB Selective Suspend in Windows power settings and removed the "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power" setting from every device in Device Manager including the Bluetooth adapter.
Nothing has fixed it yet and the ghost drivers keep appearing every day. Is there a way to fix this? Am I doomed to reset my PC?
Hi all,
I am going to be building a PC for the first time which will mostly be used for gaming. I have a specific budget I can't go over which is $3,735. How does this build look? Any advice is much appreciated!

“Looking for a best mechanical keyboard 2026”
I decided to finally get my boyfriend a new upgraded mechanical keyboard.
Based on my research, it's going to be one from either Keychron or Akko. But the number of models each brand offers is just so overwhelming. Budget is up to $250 and size is looking like full or 75%
**Update:** Thanks to everyone who shared their opinions. After doing some final research on your suggestions, I went with the [**Keychron Q5 Max**](https://share.google/NwTv6rSJqzb8MaxHA) as it had the best features for the price and I was able to get it on sale at the time. :)

“HID and keyboards duplicates causing input issues”
From this I can see
* led controller @ 1:6 hid/no-protocol
* Audio device Generalplus @ 1:7 is ver 2.01 hid/no-protocol
* Deathadder @ 1:12 Mouse/boot kbd kbd/boot
* Keychron @ 1:14 kbd/boot hid/no-protocol hid/no-protocol
This is pretty much expected. I think that extra "devices" in the list are actually the HID report-descriptors separated out into their individual usages. For example the keychron keyboard the interfaces with no protocol set are likely defining the usage only in the report-descriptor, one endpoint will be spitting out normal keyboard data and the other will likely be mouse inputs (that don't get used).
Curiously your audio device has a version 2.01 HID descriptor which is strange because the latest version published on the USB-IF site is version 1.11.
I think this entire list is a red herring for you. This doesn't seem like a software problem at all.
Your next step should be to try to snoop the HID reports as they come in (that's the input data). But I can guarantee to you that will be an absolute pain in the ass.
“… [truncated] … a bit of an adjustment in terms of getting used to the key feel and sound lol.
Great keyboard so far though, and the rgb customization is wicked cool.”
“… [truncated] … more error permissive.
I would recommend Corsair K70 PRO with MGX switches. Great switches, build quality, and the volume knob and dedicated media key helps on the everyday use. Also, not overpriced like Razer's.”
“I have been really happy with my Corsair k70
I really like the idea of being able to swap out keys
I had razer and the shift bar literally wore out it’s trash now”
In early 2025, my friend and I built my gaming PC at my parent's house, where I was living at the time. We were almost done when my stepdad wanted us to finish up because it was getting late. We shoved everything into the very "cosy" Corsair 2000D case, and I've been using it ever since.
A FEW DAYS AGO I added the full Steam overlay because I was vaguely interested in overclocking. I realised that my CPU would hit 100°c as soon as I'd boot up a game and it would stay there until I stopped playing. I have a 360mm AIO so that seemed very strange. I figured it was a fan issue but setting all the fans to full speed didn't do anything.
I messaged the friend asking what he thought and he offered to come over. We went through the fan settings again and nothing changed so we thought it might have been a case of improper thermal paste application. We took out the AIO and found the film still on the heatsink. What's really funny is we both simultaneously said "You forgot to take the film off!"
The moral of the story is to thoroughly check the metrics if you build a PC for yourself or a friend who has less knowledge than you.
I really hope 100°c under load for a year doesn't prematurely kill my i5-12600kf.

“Best Gaming Keyboard Brand Right Now In 2026?”
Hi, I am writing this post because I am in urgent need of a new gaming keyboard. My current is the Logitech G513 one and it's been my one and only for like 3 years now. Some keys have started doing double and the most used keycaps are getting worn out.
I've been reading on here and and come to a realisation to either get a [Wooting 80HE](https://wooting.io/wooting-80he), [Keychron K2 V2](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YB32H52), [Logitech G PRO X TKL](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQBRPZ8M) or [Corsair K70 PRO TKL](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D83TJ5RB). I don't want a full keyboard so compact/TKL size is a must for me. My budget is $200 so I can afford each one. I thought to be loyal to logitech and get that G PRO, however I might be missing out on something better.
I honestly can't wait anymore as the summer is almost here, school is over and I want to game with a new keyboard. Basically ready to pull the trigger so please help me make the final decision!

“Planning my next keyboard for 2026, what should I be looking at?”
**Update:** My RK84 finally started acting up in wired mode, so I ended up looking around and just grabbed a replacement from the [**Walmart gaming keyboards**](https://rdout.click/gaming-keyboard) section and it’s been solid so far.
Ended up just sticking with a simple mechanical board instead of waiting around for all the hall effect or TMR stuff. For my use case (gaming + typing), it honestly feels the same in real use and way more stable than my old setup.
small disclosure I may receive a small benefit if purchases are made through the link.
I currently have a a Royal Kludge RK84 with some basic mods (XDA keycaps, Akko Rosewood switches) and I noticed it's starting to have problems in wired mode where inputs get delayed or stick, so maybe it's grounded..?
It still works on 2.4GHz and Bluetooth, and the battery life is still surprisingly good it stayed at 100% for about 3-4 days and it's still on 90% right now going almost one week already without charging it again from it's last charge so I think it's already on last days so I'm thinking its time to start planning it's replacement this year.
I also know about brands like Akko, Aula, Ajazz, and Redragon, but I'm still trying to figure out if I prefer linear or tactile switches. There's just so much to learn just on keebs alone.
What kind of keyboard do you think will be the best all around choice for gaming and typing in a couple years? Are optical switches going to finally take over, or is the classic mechanical switch still going to be the way to go?
Also, are there any big keyboard innovations or new features rumored for 2026 that I should wait for? I'm trying to avoid buying something right before a major tech jump happens.
Looking for something durable that I can maybe mod a little down the line. Any suggestions or things I should keep an eye on are appreciated.

“Best Gaming Keyboard Brand Right Now In 2026?”
Royal Kludge? No one?... I can't see exactly what you are looking for, the hall effect (Wooting, Corsair), the connectivity (Keychron, LG) pricing? My RK67 is "cheap", 3 modes (cable/BT/2.4Ghz), hot swappable switches, and a USB hub (2 extra USB A port, lifesaver if you are on laptop).. I see they have a "new" version with hall effect but only wired, I'm not sure it is standard although Wooting is wired too so...

“What's the best cheap mechanical keyboard?”
Looking for a cheap mechanical keyboard and trying to stay around the $100 mark. Most of the time it'll be used for work (emails, spreadsheets, way too much typing), with some gaming a few evenings a week. Nothing competitive, so I'm not chasing the fastest switches or anything like that.
A few things I'd like:
* 75% or 100% layout *(updated this part)*
* decent build quality
* comfortable for long typing sessions
* good stock switches since I don't really plan on modding

I've done a bit of searching already, but the more I read the harder it gets to narrow things down. What are you using right now, and are you still happy with it?

There are way more keyboard options than I expected, so I was going in circles for a while. After reading through the comments, I narrowed it down to a few models, and the guide helped me compare them side by side before making a decision.
Appreciate the help!

AULA F75 they have few colour variants it's comfortable to type creamy feeling but also fast activation switches they are hot swappable so he can buy different switches in the future and replace instead of buying new keyboard. Around £60-70

“What's the best cheap mechanical keyboard?”
Hard to go wrong with Aula or Keychron if you're just getting into mechanical keyboards. Those two seem to come up pretty often whenever people ask about the best cheap mechanical keyboards. I've seen plenty of people stick with them for years without feeling the need to upgrade right away.

“Recommendations for my first proper keyboard”
I’m looking into getting my first mechanical keyboard, and I’d love to get some recommendations from people who know more about them than I do. I’ve been doing research to learn as much as I can about mechanical keyboards, but feel as though I’ve only scratched the surface.
I’ll start by describing what I’m looking for in a keyboard. For starters, I plan on using it exclusively for typing - not gaming - and I’d prefer a thocky sound profile with a tactile feel. I’d have no problem with swapping out the switches and/or keycaps to customize the sound and feel if need be. In fact I’ll likely swap these out no matter what, which also means that I wouldn’t mind getting a barebones keyboard. The most important features to me are that it must be 100% size (or close to it), must have a rotary knob, must have full RGB lighting, and must be wireless. I would also like one with a metal casing, but this is something I’d be willing to sacrifice if necessary to keep the cost as low as possible. I’ve also seen some keyboards with a small display, which I would appreciate, but it’s not a must.
As for my budget, I’m willing to spend a moderate amount but would like to keep it as affordable as possible. Ideally I’d like to keep the cost under $300 CAD, \*after\* taxes, shipping, and import fees (I live in Canada and many of the keyboards I’ve found that suit my criteria would be subject to import fees). That said, I’d be willing to go slightly over budget for the right keyboard.
Next I’ll describe the three keyboards I’ve found that I like the most, and what’s stopping me from buying them:
1. Dry studio ATM98 - I absolutely love the look of this keyboard, especially the giant glowing rotary knob. The main problem for me is that I’d have to import it to Canada, which would put the cost at about \~$430 CAD after taxes, shipping, and import fees.
2. Glorious GMMK 3 - this keyboard also has everything I’m looking for, but I’d run into a similar problem as the ATM98 regarding the total cost after importing it to Canada. I’ve found some Canadian retailers selling versions of this keyboard, but none that are currently selling the version I’d be looking for.
3. Royal Kludge S98 - this is by far the most budget friendly option I’ve found, but also my least favourite of the three. It technically has all the main features I’m looking for - including a small display next to the rotary knob which is nice - but it doesn’t excite me as much as the other two. It feels like a compromise, but one that I might be willing to make. I’m very curious what this community might think about this option, as I’ll be basing the decision largely on the opinions of those more experienced and knowledgeable than myself.
I’m curious what everyone thinks of the three options I’ve listed above. Do you think that either the ATM98 or the GMMK 3 would be worth going over budget for? Or do you think the RK S98 is a decent budget-friendly compromise? More importantly, does anyone know of any other keyboards that might work well as an intermediate option? Something that’s not quite as expensive as the ATM98 or the GMMK 3 but not as much of a compromise as the RK S98?
Any and all advice would be extremely welcome and appreciated!

“Any recommendations for a daily use keyboard”
I have been looking around at II'm trying to find a good case. it seems to be that aluminium is the best quality and most durable.
What sort of thing do you think would be best hat isn't extortionately priced.
There are obviously ones on the market for wild amount of money but to be completely honest im not really looking to spend more than £100 ($135) on the case alone.
I was looking at GLORIOUS Gaming GMMK PRO 75% Barebones as seems solid and its on offer so perhaps higher price range but for a better price at the moment.
Is heavy typically a bad thing for the case iteslf or a good thing. I'm really not well versed in this stuff but I'm quite enjoying exploring. 😅

“Akko fun60 ultra vs Asus rog strix scope II 96”
I’m trying to decide between two very different keyboards and I’m a bit stuck.
On one hand, there’s the Akko Fun60 Ultra, which is a magnetic (Hall Effect) keyboard. It’s clearly amazing for gaming with features like rapid trigger and adjustable actuation, so performance-wise it’s very tempting.
On the other hand, there’s a premium mechanical keyboard (like the ROG Strix Scope II 96). It doesn’t have magnetic switches, but it feels more premium overall, and I feel like I would genuinely enjoy typing on it, not just gaming. Even when writing or doing everyday stuff, it seems like it would be more satisfying.
So my dilemma is:
Pure performance and competitive gaming features
vs
Typing feel, build quality, and overall enjoyment
Gaming matters to me, but so does enjoying the keyboard while typing. Which one would you choose and why?
Well first of all it's important to ask him if he wants a wired/wireless keyboard (and mouse) and what type (100%, 75%, 65%, ect.). If you get him a keyboard make sure it's a mechanical one (membrane is cheaper but it's not suited for gaming that well) and if you don't want it to be loud as heck do not get anything with a blue switch (also ask him what typing sound he likes). I honestly cannot recommend Razer's keyboards bc they are just overpriced and not that good - I recommend you get an Asus keyboard (I personally use an Asus Rog Strix Scope II X, it's a wired 100% keyboard, I got the one with the snow switches, and I think it's pretty great for the price which is around 150/160$). The Razer gaming mouse I can recommend, I have been using the Deathadder V2 for years and it had 0 problems, I only switched because the rubber on the side was just peeling non stop (after 4/5 year of heavy use). Also I recommend you asking him to measure the lenght and with of his hand and that he looks up what grip he uses bc that determens what series is good for him (for example the Razer Deathadder series is good if he likes an ergonomic shape and bigger hands with palm grip). What I also recommend is that you don't get him a Deathadder V3 (wired/wireless) bc it has a lot of problems none of the other Deathadders have

Don't overthink it, just go with something tried and tested, most likely keychron. They're the most widely used mechanical keyboards and have normal prices.
* ***Wooting 80HE***
* ***Razer Huntsman V3 Pro***
* ***Keychron***
* ***Logitech pro***
So what's the best gaming keyboard you currently using? What do you like or dislike about it? And if you had to buy again today, would you choose the same one?
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

“Best Ergonomic Mechanical Keyboard for Long Hours in 2025?”
Hi everyone, I’m looking to upgrade my keyboard and wanted to see what people recommend in 2026. What’s currently considered the best keyboard overall and which ones are best for value? I want something that feels good for typing and gaming and does not feel cheap.
**Update: After a lot of research, I'm thinking about going with one of these:**
* [Keychron K2 HE Rapid Trigger (Aluminum + Wood)](https://share.google/iGaFTY9TgiiDRqvUJ) - **$140**
* [Womier SK75 TMR/HE 75%](https://share.google/v5aKVMFIayFjGioi1) - **$130**

* [EPOMAKER x Aula F75](https://share.google/o9eMUaGHuiWAFiy23) - **$66**
Main things I care about:
* Good typing feel
* Good sound (not too rattly)
* Wireless reliability
* Solid build quality
* Good value not just brand name pricing
* Nice layout for daily use and gaming
Also curious if the pricier Hall Effect boards like the Keychron K2 HE / Womier SK75 are really worth it or if something like the Aula F75 / F99 gets you most of the experience.
If you upgraded recently, what did you buy and are you happy with it? Any recommendations or things to avoid?
Thanks in advance.

“Suggestions for budget mechanical keyboard”
Hello everyone,
I am interested in trying out a mechanical keyboard and looking to buy one in the US. Suggestions from Youtubers and what I am reading on Reddit is quite different and honestly, it's confusing me to make a decision (especially since this will be my first mechanical keyboard!)
Any suggestions would go a long way in helping me decide! I have the following preferences:
------------
Budget: ~$75
75% layout, wireless
NO screen
VIA/QMK support
Mac and Windows compatible
Creamy/soft typing feel (I think)
Durable build
Hot-swappable preferred
Gasket mount
Pre-lubed switches
Good battery life
Use case:
Daily typing/productivity (not gaming)
Want good aesthetic and comfortable typing experience
Don't care if it's aluminum or plastic case, although aluminum case in this price range would be pretty cool.
------------
Currently looking at Epomaker QK81 (~$64 on new egg) but the only thing stopping me is the aesthetics and what I've been reading about epomaker on the subreddit.
Other considerations: Aula F75, F75 PRO, F75 MAX (~$70 on amazon), Womier era75, Royal kludge R65 or R75.
Open to other suggestions that fit these requirements.
Thank you!

“Advice On What Keyboard to Choose for Gaming”
Hello! I am currently looking for a new keyboard. I have avoided upgrading for a long time and have consistently purchased old models of the Razer Black Widow that were made before they stopped using Cherry MX switches. I am looking for a full-sized, wired keyboard. I do not have a budget in mind other than under $300 USD. I like a good thonk/clicky sound from my keys. I would also like the keyboard and keycaps to be backlit so that I can see them in the dark when I need to. This keyboard will be for home use, so almost exclusively for gaming or searching for something on Google. I am open to anything. Thank you for any recommendations or advice you can offer!

Keyboard: Keychron Q3 Ultra 8k
Switches: Outemu Silent Yellow Jade V2 (Note: 90 pc pack, 1 came damaged, 1 got bent going in, and 1 left over.)
Keycaps: Runescape X Starforge collaboration
Started out on a Logitech G915, but wanted a keyboard to display the fun new keycaps. Initially started with a RK L75, but found out that the software sucked, however the switches were pretty nice. That keyboard alone was a step up from logitech.
Then I tested out the Keychron V3 and didnt like the fit/finish on it (spacebar was rubbing the bottom plastics), so I upgraded to the Q3 ultra. I went with Keychron because I've used the K1sed1 for years and haven't had an issue with the product.
I like the software for the Q3, it is fairly simple to use and the big thing is that you can keybind mouse keys to the buttons. I use the upper right 3 keys as left click, number, spacebar so i can be very lazy when playing RS3 (Yes i know they keycaps are osrs, but RS3 didnt have any and I still want to support the game i've played for 20+ years).
Finally switch choice - I wanted quiet switches. Previously i moved from a tactile switch to linear because of the silence of it. One of my co-workers is deeeeep in the keyboards and had a board with the Outemu switches and they are dead quiet. Very little noise at all and still have fantastic resistance.
Overall, really happy with this as my first build. I absolutely love they layout and it feels amazing. Taking it to work tomorrow so i can get my co-worker's opinions on the final build!
Sidenote: I have a video of me typing, but literally it was barely picked up on the mic. The switch world is crazy!
If I were to do anything different, i'd have made sure to order 100+ switches for a tkl. Having only 3 left over (and 2 being damaged) was a bit too close

“Razer declined my international RMA… so I sent a dramatic reply. It worked”
And i got a g915 (first gen) with the low profile keys. A keycap broke off and the only solution Logitech can offer is to buy an entire new keyboard as they do not sell keycaps for this model and there are none to buy because these are special proprietary keycaps and switches so even if you find low profile third party caps these don't clip in to the switch and will just fall off.
As it is the A key it's rather important and just 4 years down the road this $180 keyboard is now scrap metal. (The tiny plastic part that broke off from where the keycap clips in fell into the switch and now the switch itself doesn't work right anymore even if I put a keycap from a less used key in its place... and the switches are soldered on of course.)
Logitech is now dead to me because they don't offer any repairs or even simple keycap replacements for their most expensive RGB keyboards. This was literally the most expensive Logitech keyboard had available when it released in 2020 for $249.
Hi all,
So I'm shopping for a new mouse and have found a few models that fit the bill, but can't decide which one to go for. My choices are -
1. Razer Basilisk V3 wireless - \~£45
2. TB Kone air (either 1 or 2) - \~£70 (eBay, advertised as new but look a bit used)
3. Logitech G502 lightspeed - \~£75
4. MSI Versa Pro - \~£68 (Ebay, looks great, but apparently the software is crap and won't let you bind keyboard keys to buttons. This would be my choice until I read that. Has this changed since the reviews I read from last year?)
5. Rapoo VT350 - \~£15 (Cheap, but is it any good. What's the software like?)
Basically, I do a fair bit of gaming and use blender regularly, so I'd like something with at least a couple of extra buttons beyond the standard 5. A thumb rest button would be great. A 4D scroll wheel would too, but it would have to be quite firm so I'm not accidentally hitting the side to side buttons by accident with my sausage fingers 😂. It would have to be quite a big mouse as I have largeish hands. Due to the way I hold a mouse, it would have to have the side buttons pretty far back too as I usually struggle to hit the forward button. Finally, I'm terrible for my ring finger relaxing when I'm tired (which happens a lot) and accidentally clicking the right button so something with a pretty stiff click there would be great.
So, which of those looks the best? Is there another mouse I'm missing? I have a budget of about £75.
I know it's a lot to ask, but if anyone could offer advice or recommend something that would fit the bill, I'll gladly name my first born child after you 😉
Thanks.

Right out of the box I can say the Evoworks 75 blows away any offering I have tried from the likes of Logitech which is who I upgraded from. I have had a Ducky One 2 Mini in the past but the Evoworks far surpasses the quality of the Ducky as well.
As you can see I’ve gone for the anodized sandgold colour. I was a bit hesitant as I have read a few posts with users saying they were disappointed in the actual colour of the keys. A lot of people seemed to think the colour wasn’t represented well online. I’ve definitely seen a few posts that give the keys a far more pink-ish tinge than. I absolutely love the colour so no complaints from me there.
This has the PP Rye switches and whilst I haven’t got round to gaming yet as I’ve got work to do I instantly hooked it up to my work setup to try it out. It feels fantastic. Completely blows away any keyboard I have used in the past.
The best part is I managed to get this opened but new for £100. The seller didn’t like the colour and said he was unable to return the keyboard to who he bought it from.
Apologies if this isn’t much of a review but I couldn’t not post the keyboard after unboxing and using it for a bit.
Hey, I'm looking for my first keyboard for everyday work and gaming!
Appearance is important to me, so I'd like something subtle or minimalist in pink. If there are options with replaceable keycaps, I'm also open to it. I'm also interested in a soft and quiet sound without the clicking sound. It would be cool if it had RGB-lightning and in would be around 75%!
I'm currently thinking about the Ducky One 3 in pink or the Skyloong Gk104 Pro, so they're easily under $150.
I'd be very happy with suggestions for kinda "girly" keyboards, because I'm really confused about what i have to choose.

“Looking to upgrade my GPU, what are my options in the £400-600 range?”
Sup fellaz, I’m looking to upgrade my RX7600XT as it struggles a little with newer games, and I’m considering making the shift to 4K. I don’t really know a whole lot about what’s good on the (nice and inflated) market currently. I’m looking in the £400-£600 price range.
My current specs are
- Ryzen 7 7700x cpu
- 32GB ddr5
- 2tb SSD
- coolermaster 850w psu
- rx7600 xt gpu
- MSI b650 motherboard
I’ve got my eye on a rx7090 that’s about £500. Is this a good purchase do you think, or should I be looking elsewhere? Also, will I need to upgrade my PSU, as the 7090 appears to draw about twice the power of the 7600xt.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
EDIT: the overwhelming concensus is the 9070xt, so I think I’m gonna drop some dosh on that bad boy. Thanks for all your help!
I recently recased my PC and upgraded my PSU to a Cooler Master MWE v3 750W 80+ Bronze. I also bought a used RTX 3070. When I got my PC back from the shop, I used it for about 3 hours before it instantly restarted—no freezing or warning, just a straight reboot back to the login screen.
This never happened with my old GPU and PSU. I thought it was my old extension cord doing this so I replaced it with a brand-new Panther surge protector, but the issue persisted. I went back to the PC shop the next day, and they suggested plugging it directly into the wall socket. Unfortunately, it still restarted after 2 to 4 hours of use.
Thinking it was a GPU issue, I contacted the seller, who was kind enough to replace it with another RTX 3070. However, the instant restarts are still happening. I'm genuinely confused and don't know what to do next.
I also have this vid of my power supply idk if its normal or not idk if its a feature but I read smwhere that the fans is supposed to always run
My current specs
I5-10400
16gb ram
H410m h v2 mobo
Rtx 3070
Coolermaster mwe v3 750W bronze 80+
And i also checke the temps while gaming and my cpu is not too hot

“Looking to upgrade my custom built pc that I inherited from my dad (Or just start afresh tbh) and needing someone to just look over this and tell me if this is a realistic upgrade or not.”
As the title would suggest, I'm looking to upgrade some parts of the PC to stretch its performance a bit but will start afresh with a whole new build if its not worth it. I'm quite new to this sort of thing and keen to upgrade to push it to its limit before having to build a new one myself. I inherited the PC recently and it was custom built in around 2014-2015 by my dad.
Looking to upgrade from GTX 970 to an RTX 4060 hopefully without having to upgrade or change anything else. Hoping this will mean I can run some newer games (even if on lower settings e.g. 1080p instead of 1440p).
Cooling is working well with this setup atm, it has 3 fans (not including the ones that are on the current gpu) and I'm not getting temperatures inside anywhere above 50c with medium-heavy gaming and fans running at approx 50% even after a few hours so not expecting cooling to be an issue. Its managing that fine while full of dust too tbh so will probably be slightly better than that once its had a good clean.
CPU: Intel I7-3770k (bottleneck or will it be okay?)
Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Formula
PSU: Corsair AX860i platinum
RAM: 32GB total
Case: CoolerMaster HAF X tower
In short, with these specs, is an upgrade to an RTX 4060 realistic? its mostly the cpu / motherboard side of things I'm worried about.
Thanks in advance!

I’ve tried doing the research myself but YouTube either the video is 5 years old and the recommended products are discontinued or the recent videos are all AI lists and have no real information other than what’s listed on the store pages, bad puns and repeating what it just said but worded differently to pad out the watch time.
So I live in a shared house so I can’t do anything with the wiring to the house. I have my gaming pc in my room with three monitors. I also have a drinks fridge in my room that is plugged into a separate plug socket to my pc. I can’t keep it in any of the communal areas as there’s no room for it.
Now the last month I’ve noticed that when the compressor kicks in after a while it clicks and cuts out and causes a voltage sag that in turn causes my monitors and keyboard to flicker off and on again.
The pc seems unaffected by this but the fact that my keyboard is plugged into it and is affected leads me to assume that the pc is too even if it’s not showing signs. My pc is currently plugged into a surge protector but that doesn’t seem to help with the voltage sag my fridge is causing.
I’ve currently unplugged my fridge but would like to find a solution so I can plug it back in and have cold drinks again at arm’s reach.
My pc specs are: Ryzen 5800X, ROG B550 F, RTX 4070Ti, 32GB DDR4, Corsair 1000E PSU, and a Corsair H150i 360mm AIO.
My peripherals plugged into my pc and drawing power are: ASUS ROG Falchion NX 65% wired, Elgato Wave 3, Elgato Stream Deck and the DAC to the Arctis Nova Pro wireless.
The monitors are 2 AOC 1440p 120Hz monitors and 1 AOC 1440p 280Hz monitor.
I’m assuming this information would be relevant for what I will need to get based on power draw.
TLDR
Fridge causing power sag when compressor kicks in, pc peripherals don’t like it. How do I protect pc.
Why did you show me this…. I just got a Rog falchion rx low profile, an iqunix magi 75. Now I’m on Akko site getting ready to scoop this up………. Thanks… bro…

“Do mechanical keyboards really make a big difference for everyday gaming?”
I game exclusively on a $10 POS Logitech off Amazon and am just as bad of a player as I would be on a mechanical keyboard. Plus it's quieter and let's me buy 2-3 extra games with the savings.

“Razer declined my international RMA… so I sent a dramatic reply. It worked”
My steelseries keyboard is now 12 years old and my £10 Kensington mouse is probably about 10 years old (I bought spares because I liked it so much but it hasn't broken yet lol).
I've seen friends get through a mouse/keyboard within a year and I have absolutely no idea how.
Edit: corrected brand and price of mouse.

“Any recommendations for a silent keyboard? Save my marriage lmao”
My wife sleeps early as hell and I like to game at night, the apex pro TKL is loud as hell and wakes her up, can someone recommend a silent keyboard that I can use so she doesn’t wake up? Like it needs to be as close as it can to completely silent and no membrane please

“Razer declined my international RMA… so I sent a dramatic reply. It worked”
We have 3 steelseries keyboards, one is mine. The other my wife got for herself because she liked the clicky clack of it. And then bought one for her work which she then changed jobs and started working from home. They've been through so much shit and not a single complaint. Toddler approved.
I know this is a bit subjective, though I’m looking to upgrade from my Steelseries Apex Pro TKL and need some help with what I should look at and what is actually worth the money to upgrade to. Any and all help is massively appreciated.

“What's the best budget keyboard for $80?”
I'd recommend getting a 60% if you're gonna travel with it a lot, if you're also gonna do gaming with it then you could go for a huntsman mini. It is out of your budget range but if you use checkmate it can get you a discount and maybe be closer to your budget range. If not that redragon is good, but you should go in store to find a 60% red switch keyboard, they have a lot of blue switches so just test them out before picking one up.

“What's the Best Gaming Keyboard To Buy Right Now?”
Yeah really love my Razer Huntsman v2. Came from ducky one 2 mini and I absolutely loved both but ducky's USB-c connectors are pure garbage and the fact that they operate with 1 year warranty and no one there speaks any English it's hard getting a replacement or even rma one. The razer huntsman mini v2 has been amazing. The cable slides and locks in place by these grooves in the cable, this helps it not move around as much and doesn't break the port. I can recommend it

“Planning to Buy This ₹2,500 60% Mechanical Keyboard — Worth It?”
I have a Razer Huntsman mini with 9-10 months of warranty remaining. Haven't really used it much and I'm looking to buy a different keyboard that goes with both win & Mac. If you're interested then Lmk. I was looking for 3.2k but we can negotiate.
My first keyboard was k617fizz still have it, the LED malfunctioned and had to send it to RMA, then the switches went bad and it became a nightmare sending them back for RMA.
Bought the huntsman mini but got busy with work out of city, so couldn't really use it.
You can get a wooting keyboard for around the same price I have a huntsman v3 pro and I like it but if I could go back I would have got the wooting instead.

thanks i will look into getting it RMA hopefully corsair doesnt have a issue with it. i looked up the PSU and found that Common issues with the Corsair SF750 Platinum include premature failure in some units due to a batch-related problem affecting 2019-2020 models, problems with AMD GPUs causing shutdowns or clicks, and potential quality control issues like scratches or crooked ports on some units"

Different switch has different feels and it's quite subjective on which is best for you.
If you're near Microcenter, go there and try out their display, or even Best Buy and Walmart/Target. You can also buy switch samples as well.
I started off with one of the Razer keyboard which feel pretty nice then switched to Corsair K95 with MX silver. I really like the MX silver once my K95 broke (due to PCB malfunction), I desolder the switch and put it in my Glorious GMMK2 which has hot swap for switches.

“Looking for a premium full sized, backlit mechanical keyboard”
Try the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum
It has customizable backlighting, a full-sized layout, and nice media controls with a volume wheel. Another one to check out is the Logitech G Pro X. It's good for gaming and typing. Both feel high-end and should work for you. you could also check keyboardyeti for more comparisons and details.
My Corsair K95 had a row of macro buttons on the left. If you don't mind NOT having a display, there still are some options with extra key. Also don't forget you can remap any key to whatever you want on 99% of gaming keyboards...in game it's pretty hard that you'll need the numpad or the block of page down / up / home / del etc...those alone are 9 buttons (if you include scroll, printscreen etc.).
A whopping 17 buttons if you consider your numpad block as a macro pad (but still on the keyboard).
So...the only limit is your fantasy.
Recently I had my eyes on different mechanical keyboards and the nuphy Field75 HE caught my attention for the looks, but it has also several additional "G" keys (but no numpad).

“Opinion on Aula F75 - Buying my first mechanical keyboard”
I have planned to buy my first mechanical keyboard, after a bit research, I found the Aula F75 to be a good choice and wanted your opinion on the side engraved keys edition. Would it cause any problem in daytime? I wanted RGB pass through keys therefore did not want to go with the base version of the keyboard.
Is there anyone out there who's used this variant, appreciate your opinions if you have any other suggestions as well.

You can get magnetic switch keyboards for like $50 now so definitely worth it. I have the Akko TAC75 HE and mainly chose it for the ~~astrolink~~ astroaim magnetic switches that have really good key stability and the web drivers although the Akko is more of a DIY keyboard as it lacks high density foam or silicone to make it sound really nice. I added foam to the bottom case of mine as well as adding small rubber gaskets on the plastic posts and it sounds really good now.
Edit: I have the astroaim switches, not the astrolink. I keep getting them mixed up.

“Looking for a best mechanical keyboard 2026”
As an Akko-haver (3084B) and a Keychron not-haver, my impression of Keychron is that it's one of the most mainstream brand but comes with a premium.
If your budget is $250, then maybe a Keychron might be the safe pick as they also make a large range of keyboards and is a very established brand.
I literally just bought (and is typing on) an an AULA Hero84 HE which cost just $40, and it may be one of my favorite keyboards yet (maybe behind the 2.5x more expensive Rainy75). I've also owned an Epomaker G84, Meletrix Zoom75 with ceramic keycaps, and they're mostly solids keyboards but this looks impressive and feels great to type on. However, the layout feels a bit crowded, if I'm being picky.

“Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL random disconnects during low-activity tasks (not gaming)”
Hey everyone, I’m looking for some input on a persistent issue with my Huntsman V3 Pro TKL.
My keyboard keeps intermittently disconnecting and requires an unplug/replug to get it working again. The weird part is that it **never happens while gaming**. It only occurs during low-activity tasks (like VOD reviews or browsing).
**System Specs:**
* **Overview**
* Computer model: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7
* Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Professionnel (10.0, Build 26200)
* Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 8-Core Processor 8/16
* Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7
* RAM: 32 GB
* STORAGE1: KINGSTON SNVS500G (465.8 GB/Fixed hard disk media)
* STORAGE2: TEAM TM8FGM002T (1.9 TB/Fixed hard disk media)
* Graphics card1: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (15.9 GB)
* Keyboard: Huntsman V3 Pro TKL
* Mice: Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro
What I’ve already tried (and ruled out):
* **Power Settings:** Globally disabled "USB Selective Suspend" in Windows Power Options.
* **Drivers:** Chipset and USB drivers are fully updated via the motherboard manufacturer.
* **Connection:** Keyboard is plugged directly into a USB 3.2 port on the back of the motherboard (not a hub/front panel).
* **Synapse:** Clean reinstalled Synapse 4.
* **Firmware:** Updated to the latest version.

“what controller do you actually use for pc gaming?”
The original regular Xbox One controller is goated in my books, I use one on PC and on my Series X. The Elite controllers are overpriced junk IMO. I had a Razer Wolverine Ultimate and it was an excellent controller, but I prefer wireless.
I’m not a fan of the PS5 controller, it’s too wide at the top which makes it feel like holding a brick.
I used to have a Razer DeathAdder Elite, which I loved, but over time, it developed double click issues. A year or two ago, my brother (also a major gamer like myself) got me a Razer Naga Trinity as a Christmas present when he got me for our sibling grab bag, and it's worked wonders too. However, as of late, it has given issues with random flicks and stopping held left clicks, which is a major problem when I am playing shooter games (specifically Marvel Rivals) and therefore trying to be precise. After having waaaay more random flicks while trying to play tonight (and the random flicks getting more frequent over all lately), I decided it's time I finally bite the bullet and get a new mouse.
I want my new mouse to be Razer as well so I can use Razer Synapse to sync the lights with my Razer Huntsman Elite keyboard. I don't really care about whether I have side buttons or not (didn't end up using them on my Naga Trinity). I want to make sure it lasts long with regular use playing Rivals and also works well for the occasional MMO.
Palm grip user here as well if that helps. Biggest requirement is WIRED ONLY! I hate having to charge controllers and mice, cause my memory is garbo and I forget to do so a lot.
All recommendations and reasons for them would be awesome!!

“First mechanical keyboard - Keychron Q6 max with Keychron doubleshot PBT keycaps, kailh silent pro 2 whales. How did I do?”
So not strictly speaking my first as I bought a RK S98 and returned it immediately when I realised I needed a 100% and read reports of the kludge failing after 6 months.
Picked up the Q6 via Amazon to ensure I had full warranty and returns policy. £50 under rrp seemed a good price.
Needed silent tactile switches as my setup is in the lounge and I don't want a divorce. Whales seemed a good choice.
Didn't like the OSA keycaps so ordered Keychron cherry profile pbt. I'm pretty happy with the colour scheme and they seem quality enough. Would have got something a bit more premium but finding ISO UK keycaps is a bit of a nightmare without spending a small fortune on GMK.
Knew nothing about keyboards a month ago.
How did I do? What should I have done better?
And now I'm addicted, what should I buy next??

“Help!! Need a budget Wireless Magnetic (HE) keyboard.”
Try looking at the Keychron K6 or the Royal Kludge RK61. They’re both 75% layout and usually have wireless options
Magnetic switches are tough to find in that price range, but these keyboards can still handle gaming pretty well. Also, check out keyboardyeti for tips on what to look for in a gaming keyboard. they might have some comparisons that could help you out.

“gaming pc build help with all peripherals in rupees 80000 ( for india ) .”
You are asking for a lot for a relatively small amount of money approx £700 for which you also want an UPS.
If you can get one then a RK Royal Kludge switch keyboards are fairly cheap and work well. I have had a RK918 which is a full size keyboard with brown key switches which is pretty decent for what it cost me approx £45. It's wired so no battery issues and it's pretty decent to type on.
For an UPS I would look for one which has inexpensive battery replacements because they can be expensive. My APC UPS cost around £80 for unofficial third party batteries and around £140 for APC replacement parts.

ok i get the late-night gaming struggle. honestly for quiet hall effect, the [Wooting 80HE](https://featherab.com/shopit?market=am&search_keywords=wooting+80he) with their silent magnetic switches is probably your best bet for software and performance. i've also had good experience with the [Keychron Q1 HE](https://featherab.com/shopit?market=am&search_keywords=keychron+q1+he) for a 75% option. what worked for me was adding some foam and o-rings for extra quieting if the stock sound isn't enough.
