keyboards “Opinion on Aula F75 - Buying my first mechanical keyboard”

I have planned to buy my first mechanical keyboard, after a bit research, I found the Aula F75 to be a good choice and wanted your opinion on the side engraved keys edition. Would it cause any problem in daytime? I wanted RGB pass through keys therefore did not want to go with the base version of the keyboard. Is there anyone out there who's used this variant, appreciate your opinions if you have any other suggestions as well.

You can get magnetic switch keyboards for like $50 now so definitely worth it. I have the Akko TAC75 HE and mainly chose it for the ~~astrolink~~ astroaim magnetic switches that have really good key stability and the web drivers although the Akko is more of a DIY keyboard as it lacks high density foam or silicone to make it sound really nice. I added foam to the bottom case of mine as well as adding small rubber gaskets on the plastic posts and it sounds really good now. Edit: I have the astroaim switches, not the astrolink. I keep getting them mixed up.

I game exclusively on a $10 POS Logitech off Amazon and am just as bad of a player as I would be on a mechanical keyboard. Plus it's quieter and let's me buy 2-3 extra games with the savings.

keyboards “Looking for a best mechanical keyboard 2026”

As an Akko-haver (3084B) and a Keychron not-haver, my impression of Keychron is that it's one of the most mainstream brand but comes with a premium. If your budget is $250, then maybe a Keychron might be the safe pick as they also make a large range of keyboards and is a very established brand. I literally just bought (and is typing on) an an AULA Hero84 HE which cost just $40, and it may be one of my favorite keyboards yet (maybe behind the 2.5x more expensive Rainy75). I've also owned an Epomaker G84, Meletrix Zoom75 with ceramic keycaps, and they're mostly solids keyboards but this looks impressive and feels great to type on. However, the layout feels a bit crowded, if I'm being picky.

keyboards “What to pick from these budget 3 keayboards to test HE?”

i tested a few HE boards last month. for your budget, the akko tac75 he is solid - you don't really need gasket mount for HE to work well, it's more about the magnetic switches and software. the akko software is decent for rapid trigger. save the $30-40 and put it toward your premium board later. mchose ace 60 is great if you can live without f-rows, but sounds like fortnite makes them useful.
