In early 2025, my friend and I built my gaming PC at my parent's house, where I was living at the time. We were almost done when my stepdad wanted us to finish up because it was getting late. We shoved everything into the very "cosy" Corsair 2000D case, and I've been using it ever since. A FEW DAYS AGO I added the full Steam overlay because I was vaguely interested in overclocking. I realised that my CPU would hit 100°c as soon as I'd boot up a game and it would stay there until I stopped playing. I have a 360mm AIO so that seemed very strange. I figured it was a fan issue but setting all the fans to full speed didn't do anything. I messaged the friend asking what he thought and he offered to come over. We went through the fan settings again and nothing changed so we thought it might have been a case of improper thermal paste application. We took out the AIO and found the film still on the heatsink. What's really funny is we both simultaneously said "You forgot to take the film off!" The moral of the story is to thoroughly check the metrics if you build a PC for yourself or a friend who has less knowledge than you. I really hope 100°c under load for a year doesn't prematurely kill my i5-12600kf.

keyboards “Best Gaming Keyboard Brand Right Now In 2026?”

Hi, I am writing this post because I am in urgent need of a new gaming keyboard. My current is the Logitech G513 one and it's been my one and only for like 3 years now. Some keys have started doing double and the most used keycaps are getting worn out. I've been reading on here and and come to a realisation to either get a [Wooting 80HE](https://wooting.io/wooting-80he), [Keychron K2 V2](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YB32H52), [Logitech G PRO X TKL](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQBRPZ8M) or [Corsair K70 PRO TKL](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D83TJ5RB). I don't want a full keyboard so compact/TKL size is a must for me. My budget is $200 so I can afford each one. I thought to be loyal to logitech and get that G PRO, however I might be missing out on something better. I honestly can't wait anymore as the summer is almost here, school is over and I want to game with a new keyboard. Basically ready to pull the trigger so please help me make the final decision!

mechanicalkeyboards “A look inside a switch used daily for 5 years”

I had an experience with cherry mx brown over 7 years of gaming on it, I remember I bought it around 2016. Opened a few from my old keyboard corsair k70 after they changed their ugly logo second model. Lubed one and didn't feel better at all. They were fine with no issues at all. Just switched to my first custom keyboard Akko 007v2 now I have Vertix S100 full sized. I believe they call it breakin to use the switches too much that the parts inside become smooth. In my profile I desoldered all the switches, replaced the stans with durock v2 I believe. Light color. Lubed all the new switches from Akko Jelly blue. Changed all the keys with stabilizers to 100g force springs. Modded the case with bottom silicone and other pe foam and pads under the switches. This project ended up as a gift to my you gest brother he still use it until now and he doesn't care about anything, but this was a piece from my heart and I hope he treat it well, he always ruin things.. I wish I wish he takes a good care of it. I spent so much money and time on it. Lol.
