neutralhomenetworking “How often should a router realistically be replaced?”I still have one with DD-WRT. I use it as a wireless to wired bridge for retro computers when I don't feel like running cables all over. I also have a Buffalo WHR-G54S that I refuse to throw away because it still works and is nice for a quick "out in the field" wireless network when I am doing ham radio contesting with a group a friends. That one os running Tomato firmware and even has IPv6 support, a rarity for a consumer router of that age.
