“I've tried Nakpro plant protein and it was horrible both chocolate and mango. Used Superyou yeast protein cold coffee recently and it was good, you can try that.”
I use nakpro gold whey protein , and as always i was ordering the 500 gm package on Amazon . It used to cost something like 1000 rupees a few weeks ago but now it was 1200 . Then I saw the same product on Amazon fresh for 1400 but it was 1 kg! . And after using the debit card it gave me a flat 100 rupees discount . Why is it so cheap ?

“Suggest a new protein powder. Been taking Nakpro so far. Budget ~2500 for 30 days supply ๐ช๐ป”
Iโve been using Nakpro for 4 months now. I also tried their Isolate once.
I donโt have any issues with Nakpro, but Iโm looking to try more options so that I can compare their effects.
Iโve also heard that Nakpro has inconsistent protein amounts because itโs cheaper. Thatโs another reason why Iโm looking for a product with consistent protein amounts.
Before Nakpro, I bought ON sachet protein with double chocolate flavour to test and man it was horrible. Tasted like a medicine ๐คฎ

“Nakpro Plant Protein Genuine Review After Using One Full Pouch”
**Nakpro Plant Protein Pouch Honest First-Timer Review**
My parents and I tried this together, and none of us had ever used a protein powder before. Here's what we found:
**1. Mixability** Honestly impressive. I haven't seen any other powder mix this cleanly no lumps, no clumping. Occasionally you might get one or two clusters while drinking, but it's not a regular issue at all.
**2. Taste** I ordered the mango flavor and it tastes absolutely perfect. The sweetness level is on the higher side possibly artificial sweetener but as far as taste goes, it completely destroys the "plant protein tastes bad" stereotype.
**3. Carbs & Satiety** The carb content is on the higher side. It didn't cause bloating, though the first serving felt quite heavy likely because it was my first time with any protein powder. After that, no such issues. One thing to note: despite having 7โ8g of carbs, it doesn't really suppress hunger. You may feel hungry again within 1โ2 hours.
**4. Protein Per Scoop** The serving size is a heaping 36g scoop, which might concern some people. Personally, it doesn't bother me. I don't always need 25g getting a solid 22g per scoop is still a worthwhile amount for someone like me.
**5. Amino Acid Profile** Decent, thanks to the 30% brown rice protein content. It obviously falls short compared to whey, but 4.5โ7g of BCAAs per serving isn't bad. If you need more, simply increase your intake amount.
**Final Verdict**
If you're on a tight budget like me, plant protein is a solid choice especially if it's covering your daily amino acid and protein requirements. As for the Reddit gossip about taste, bloating, lumps, leucine content, and protein per scoop most of that is minor, person-specific stuff, not deal-breakers. Take those opinions with a grain of salt.
Have a nice day.

“Wait so whats the catch with Soy Protein Isolate?”
ive been using Nakpro whey protein for the last 1 year, now due to budget constraints im looking for alternatives and came across this. So this is a superior product (more protein per scoop) and costs less? So whats the catch?
I am anti plastic too but nothing seems available in the amounts I use for a reasonable price. Vega Sport has 45 servings. Sometimes I buy on Amazon and sometimes direct from Vega.
1. Don't be afraid of vegan meats! They usually have a better nutritional profile than the foods they're replacing from lower saturated fat, more fiber, etc. and are usually high in protein. Check out Beyond, Impossible, Gardein, etc. Vegan protein powder is everywhere too - try Vega and Orgain.
2. Tofu is one of the most versatile foods as you've already found and well-worth mastering. You can get 40g of protein for $2-3 and Super Firm can have 70g of protein per block.
There's an infinite way to flavor tofu scrambles. I press by hand with paper towels before crumbling and adding to a pre-heated pan. I almost always add nutritional yeast and soy sauce to add umami flavor. Then, you can make it Southwest style with peppers/onions/garlic/cumin/chili powder, Indian with curry powder/turmeric/black salt, or classic with garlic and a sprinkle of turmeric for color. Fresh herbs, sriracha, kale, cubed potatoes, etc. are all good additions.
For other recipes, try boiling pre-cut tofu in salted water instead of pressing. 1 block can be boiled in 8 cups of water with 2 tbsp of salt for 5-10 mins. Dry it a bit with towels or a strainer before adding adding seasoning/marinades and putting it in an air fryer, oven, etc. You'll find the texture more chewy and the flavor better since it's pre-salted and the heat helps open it up to absorb marinades better.
3. I like beans so I don't notice a bad flavor, but remember there's so many types to choose from. White beans taste totally different from black beans and edamame. I'd suggest trying some vegan japanese mochi from an Asian store to see how versatile beans can be. You can surprisingly add them to many dessert recipes with minimal added flavor.
Looking for good protein powders. Ideally under 150 cal for 20g of digestible / usable protein (40% DV or higher)
With whey there is a lot of powders arpund 110cal for 20-25g protein at 40% or higher DV meaning all the protein can be used/is complete protein
I have found with a lot of vegan protein powders it will boast 20 or 30g protein per servicing but way under 40% DV on the label.
Even vegan favorites ive found issues with:
vega and owyn around 180cal for โ30g proteinโ but only at 32%-36%DV (owyn slightly better) so its really like 16g -18g protein thats digestible for 180cal really is not that good
Orgain at 150cal , 21g at 32% so its really 150cal for 16g protein but still not as good as i would want for a protein powder.
Sunwarrior at 90cal, 17g protein and 25% so its really 90cal for 12.5g which is better than the rest, but still nothing compared to your average whey
Am i being too picky? this just something I have to accept with vegan protein powders? I have also tried Naked Pea which by far has the best macros (120cal 27g protein, 54% DV so the full 27g is digestible/usable) but the taste to me isnt good and gives really bad breath after i drink it and bad aftertaste

“Advice on protein supplements for running and weight lifting”
I would say just use whichever one you like the flavor and consistency of the best. You may have to try a few. I prefer to use a blend so that it's a complete protein, but pea protein is also very popular.
As far as how to use them, the easiest way is to just get a shaker cup and shake the powder up with some water or milk and drink it. I also like mixing mine into oatmeal. If you want to go the oatmeal route, I find that the Ghost vegan flavors mix in very well.

“Need protein powders (I didnโt like PEScience)”
Hey guys, For some reason I I donโt like some of the โgoatedโ mainstream protein powders.
I was so addicted I would just us water + ryse protein powder and that would be enough, however addictions slowly fade away and you start cravings some luxurious tasting stuff.
**What I love but now kind of bored of:**
* Ryse protein (Chocolate cookie blast, Peanut Butter cup, Cosmic Brownie), I have eaten 6 pints per day of these for about a year. Served me well
* Ghost whey (Slowly hated the chipโs ahoy, noticed it wasnโt rly my cup of tea, I loved the Coffee Ice cream)
* Muscle Sport Lean Whey (overall I did not mind the flavors, I can finish a tub even tho it wasnโt my favorite flavor)
* PandaSupps (I like their formulations but need to find the perfect flavor, ordered some more)
**What I tried and rly tried to love but couldnโt:**
* PEScience, I tried so many times and so many flavors, they just never hit home for me. (chocolate truffle, CnC was very cream heavy)
* 1up, their protein powders were rly cream flavor heavy
* Axe and Sledge (C&C, Chocolate macadamia)
* Legion (Salted caramel, dutch chocolate)
* Transparent labs (used to love their dark chocolate but flavor was too mild after a while)
* Myprotein (Several chocolate flavor, salted caramel)
* Jocko Molk (chocolate, didnโt mind it but didnโt topple ryse, wasnโt worth it for me)
* Applied Nutrition (Choco Beuno, White choco Beuno)
* Isopure (chocolate)
* Mre Lite (Chocolate, Fudge Brownie)
* Clean Simple Eats (brownie batter)
* Dymatize (Cocoa Pebbles, flavor werenโt rly strong for me)
* Ekkovision (Tiramisu, Brownie batter)
* Fairlile milk + vanilla extract was abysmal IMO
* Orgain (tasted rly weird, maybe its the plant-based formulation)
* Optimum Nutiriton (l was hesitant to put this, last time I used it was 2022/23, at the time it wasnโt rly good, but they could have improved so. I tried their chocolate/vanilla, milk was okay but with water, I didnโt like it)
**Btw: this has been a very expensive trial and error but worth it.**
**Final notes:**
It sounds like I am a pain to recommend to, hopefully someone as messed up as me can be helped.
As you notice I am chocolate heavy advocate, Idm a vanilla here and there if itโs amazing, lean whey and panda supps vanilla are great.
**Flavors I despise, (or maybe haven't tasted good one):**
* I donโt like mint (non-negotiable)
* pure peanut butter flavored
* fruity/cream heavy flavors as you see. For example strawberry shortcake by ryse was more cake/cream than pure strawberry.
**Possible flavor/goals:**
* I guess the best case scenario for me would be a great vanilla which I think I have, but have never found a good salted caramel (awaiting my panda supps order)
* Also Biscoff (cookie butter)
* But as you see I like chocolate, chocolate hazelnut, Ferraro Roche/Nutella vibes
I get tempted to re-order most protein I donโt like from the sheer positive reviews they get.
**Attempts:**
I have tried normal cacao, very expensive dutch powders, black cacaos and expensive vanilla bean extracts. They all just try and mask the protein flavor and are dominant, I donโt like the intense dry pure cacao flavor
For example when I use a 1Tbsp of Dutch chocolate it overrides any flavor and I just taste that powder, it doesn't seem to blend, just overpower. If i use too little, I can't even sense it's there.
I like rich/luxurious gelato/Haagen-Dazs/Lindt vibes.
Sorry for the long post. I hope I am not being annoying and hope someone can help me out ๐ญ.
Edit: I donโt mind other solutions as well, anything that would work and is not a calorie bomb.
I am trying to replicate PinkBerryโs Chocolate Hazelnut rn, I hate normal yogurt and love Greek. I know Pinkberry uses yogurt but their chocolate hazelnut is heavenly.
Depends on the brand, thereโs a tier list for myprotein flavors online. Havenโt bought protein in years but from what I remember anything chocolate is usually safe, Iโll vouch for ghost chips ahoy

I drink a significant portion of my daily calories via Garden of Life Raw Meal (meal replacement shake vs protein powder). Typically two servings a day, sometimes three. This has been my diet for about three years now and I've been very consistent with it.
The Garden of Life protein powder is suggested to be limited to 1.25 servings per week. Both this powder and the meal replacement powder I drink have pea protein listed as the first ingredient. Should I be concerned?

“best quality supplement brands without any fillers or junk?”
Honestly I stopped overthinking it. I pick a couple brands I trust and stick to them. Thorne for magnesium and Omegas. Garden of Life for multis even though theyโre kinda pricey.
And then Neurogan for CBD because the oils hit consistently and I like that theyโre transparent with testing. The CBN one is mellow without making me groggy.
If a company doesnโt post a COA I donโt bother anymore.

“best quality supplement brands without any fillers or junk?”
Hey! For high-quality, third-party tested supplements with minimal fillers, check these:
- Thorne Research (very clean, top testing)
- Pure Encapsulations (hypoallergenic, strict quality)
- Life Extension (wide range, well-tested)
- NOW Foods (good testing, budget-friendly)
- Designs for Health (professional-grade)
- Nordic Naturals (best for fish oils)
- Garden of Life (clean herbals and multis)
Look for NSF, USP, or ConsumerLab seals for extra assurance.

I'm a veggie looking to cut down my dairy intake due to concerns around the dairy industry.
I weight lift regularly and have protein shakes daily, is there a brand anyone would recommend for vegan protein powder?
I last had one about 5 years ago from optimum nutrition that was pea protein and remember it being awful although they may have improved it since.
I'd be mixing it with soy milk and prefer chocolate flavour.

“Are supplements from big name brands worth the 3x price from regular brands?”
I don't think it's yes or no. It depends on the supplement. Simple, single-molecule things like l-tyrosine, I buy from a trustworthy, mid-range mass-market company like Nutricost.ย
Ashwagandha, on the other hand, I buy from Nootropics Depot. Getting the wrong part of the plant or using the wrong extraction can be hazardous to your health or make the supplement pointless.
If I was forced to use only one brand for everything I'd pick NOW Foods. They're consistently very good. Best way to choose brands is a cheap subscription to Consumer Lab. It's saved me a lot of money.

“Whey Isolate Review: Isopure vs Wellbeing Nutrition vs ON”
(From someone in a calorie deficit + lifting heavy + yoga routine)
Since Iโve recently gotten into fitness combining heavy weight training, yoga with a calorie-deficit diet: post-workout protein is important for me. After intense lifting sessions, my body needs fast-absorbing protein for recovery without bloating or gut issues.
Hereโs my honest experience with three whey isolates:
๐ฅIsopure Dutch Chocolate Whey Protein Isolate
Itโs the best for me so far.
Texture: Very foamy and thick; feels satisfying and filling.
Recovery: Excellent muscle recovery after heavy lifts.
Digestion: No bloating, no gut discomfort.
Cutting-friendly: Very low carbs and sugar, ideal during a calorie deficit.
This one stood out immediately. It feels clean, light on the stomach and highly effective post-workout.
๐ฅ Wellbeing Nutrition Whey Protein Isolate Dark Chocolate
This one is good but not perfect for my digestion.
Texture: Slightly foamy; somewhat similar to Isopure.
Recovery: Supports muscle recovery well.
Digestion: Caused some gut issues for me personally.
Price: More affordable than Isopure.
This feels like a middle ground between Isopure and ON in terms of texture and overall experience. While itโs effective and budget-friendly, it didnโt sit as comfortably with my stomach.
๐ฅ Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Isolate Double Rich Chocolate
It has great taste, solid performance.
Texture: Very foamy and thick
Taste: The yummiest of the three.
Recovery: Delivers good muscle recovery results.
Digestion: Generally fine, but slightly heavier than Isopure.
Sugar content: Slightly higher than Isopure and Wellbeing Nutrition- something to consider if cutting strictly.
This is a great all-rounder. If taste matters a lot to you and youโre not extremely strict with sugar/carbs, itโs a strong option.
Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard, even at full price, from Costco, is about a 1.15 Canadian a serving, for 24g of protein in 120 calories.
I've recently switched to Canadian Protein, which is a brand of protein that's available in bulk, and it works out to around 1.05 CAD/serving, for 27g of protein in 125 calories.
Even if you don't buy it from costco, most whey isolate typically will cost less than 1.50 a serving. You just have to mix it yourself.
Chickpeas actually make me bloated, but itโs nice. Iโm straight vegan, and my protein comes from lentils, tofu, bread I make out of lentils, pea protein (I get from Amazon bc itโs $22 for 1Kg), nut butters and fruits and veg. I usually hit 80 to 120g protein a day on 1300 to 1800 calorie diet.
veganfitness
“Help I'm desperate - I have no idea how to plan meals”
The entire package of smoked-style fava tofu from Big Mountain Foods is 200 calories and 52g protein (though itโs super filling so I canโt eat that much of it in a day).
Iโve made tofu/seitan lunch meat based on a recipe someone posted here once, using the Big Mountain tofu, and it was 175 calories and 37.5g protein for 100g.
Say Grace is a brand of TVP that is lower calorie and higher protein than a lot of other TVP or soy curls; for one ounce dry, you get 19g protein for only 80 calories. I especially like to make this in soup with Carbe Diem orzo (110 calories/8g protein for 2 oz) but you could use a higher protein kind like edamame pasta or lupin bean pasta if youโre not fussy about the shape. I also like Kaizen pasta, even though itโs super expensive; 130 calories gets you 20g protein.
If youโre not averse to precision fermented products, the vegan whey from My Protein is 90 calories/20g protein a serving, and two tablespoons of Natural Comforts vegan egg white is 9g protein for 40 calories. Two servings of vegan egg white plus some veggies gets you a huge omelette, and sometimes I put some of the fava seitan I mentioned above in them!
If you can find TPP instead of TVP (textured pea protein) the texture is a lot softer but the calories are generally lower and the protein higher than TVP. Regular TVP or soy curls are also very good choices. You can also put TVP or TPP in oatmeal or overnight oats to boost the protein and drop the calories.
Hope this helps! My protein target is a lot lower than yours but so is my calorie target. Iโm averaging 100g protein on 1200 calories lately, and all of the above-mentioned are on HEAVY rotation in my house, along with more natural foods like tons of veggies, grains, and beans.

6. BC30โข Probiotic โ Bacillus coagulans GBI-30, 6086

I've been using naturaltein plant protein. “I ranked plant protein powders in India (based on ingredients, price & taste)”
I recently went down a complete rabbit hole trying to choose a plant protein.
What started as โwhich one should I buy?โ turned into comparing ingredients, reading labels, watching reviewsโฆ and honestly, overthinking the hell out of it.
So I made this tier list to simplify things.
**What I based it on:**
* Ingredient quality (sweeteners, additives, etc.)
* Price vs value
* Taste (because you actually have to drink it)
**Tiers:**
**S:** Cosmix, The Whole Truth, Origin, OWN
**A:** YogaBar (only flavoured), Open Secret
**B:** Naturaltein, Nutrabox, Sparkfusion, OZiva
**C:** Nakpro (pea and brown rice), Fast&Up, MuscleBlaze
**Quick breakdown:**
* S tier โ cleanest, but expensive (except OWN)
* A tier โ best balance (what most people should buy)
* B tier โ decent, but slight compromises
* C tier โ budget / not very clean
One thing I realised:
Youโre not just buying protein, youโre buying branding and positioning.
If anyoneโs curious, I wrote a more detailed breakdown here:
[Ranking Best Plant Protein Powders in India: Only List You Need](https://breathbadminton.com/best-plant-protein-powder-india-ranking/)
Also happy to hear what you guys are using. Iโm still experimenting myself.

All these 3 brands you mentioned are shit, consuming spoonfuls of sugar will be better. Go for cosmix or superyou if you want plant based options and trunativ, muscleblaze or OWN for whey. TWT is also good. For vitamins and minerals, get a blood test done and ask a doctor to prescribe them, protein powder is not the place where vitamins should be mixed.
Also Herbalife? Jesus please get her full body checkup done immediately and get her to the gym to do some lifting. She's going to lose muscle mass and get osteoporosis very soon with such a lifestyle

“A Different Way to Consume Plant Protein for those who hate the taste”
Tagged it as women's fitness but anyone can use this idea.
I am a vegetarian who does not consume eggs as well. I was looking for protein options and tried different brands of whey protein. All of them gave me stomach problems even in very small quantities. I am also lactose intolerant and have PMOS (PCOS). All whey proteins were flaring up my acne. Since I don't consume milk, I used to mix whey protein with water for shakes. It tasted so bad that I would not drink it.
So I decided to try plant protein. I had read many reviews that the taste is worse than whey so I was very sceptical. Then I thought of a different approach. Instead of having a protein shake. I now switched to adding the required quantity of unflavoured plant protein to my regular food. This has been such a life savour because I finally don't have to eat/drink things that taste like thermocol/chalk in the name of protein.
For eg: in the morning I add unflavoured protein powder scoop to my dosa/idly/chila batter, add more water to adjust the consistency and then eat it like how I would regularly. You can hardly feel a difference in the taste especially when compared to having other high protein items exclusively
For lunch and dinner, it gets added to the roti batter and then I have like regular.
Ofc if you don't eat anything except salads and boiled chicken/vegetables, you will not be able to do this. However, I like making my regular food protein rich rather than switching my whole diet.
This can be incorporated for elderly parents also who are veg and don't want to make drastic changes in their diets.
When I was telling this to my office colleagues, they seemed to be pleasantly surprised by this idea. So I thought it might help people here who have the same issues as me.
The plant protein brand I use is Cosmix. Though I have seen, many bad reviews here, I found it the lightest on my stomach. You can use whichever unflavoured plant protein that suits you.

“Which proteing powder (whey / pea) is better for PMOS women with insulin resistance?”
I'd suggest you try both. Whey (most common and affordable is concentrate) if you're not lactose intolerant, and a blend of isolate + concentrate if you still want lower lactose content. Full isolate if you can afford it lol.
Plant - I've tried pea, rice as well as yeast - liked the taste of flavoured yeast better, so this is completely personal preference. I personally stick to whey concentrate or sometimes yeast as I don't think I'm lactose intolerant.
This shouldn't matter much but sharing still.
Brands like Nutrabay, MB, Avvatar and TWT have worked for me. Don't overthink it, just aim for 25g protein per scoop. Don't fall for brands like Oziva that market their protein as specialised for women - ideally your protein powder shouldn't contain so much of the other ingredients even if they're "good for women".
I'm also insulin resistant but I've not used that as a filter when I get protein powder. Any good bioavailable protein should be helpful either way.

“Plastic found in the whole truth plant protein powder”
I recently started using plant protein since my dermatologist asked me to avoid using whey protein. I have tried the whole truth Pista Badaam flavor and their double cocoa flavor as well. But I find some serious quality control problems with their double cocoa protein and found translucent, plastic-like pieces mixed into the powder.. And this was not a one-off case, there were plastic particles in literally every scoop of the protein.
Here are the key identifiers from the packaging:
Batch No: F1PLDBC0004A
Date of Mfg: 06/01/2026
Use By: 05/07/2026
I sent an email to their team to review the problem along with photos as evidence 4 days ago, yet they haven't even bothered to check their support inbox.
Attaching some photos here as reference.
For whey, Iโve had the best experience with:
\* [The whole Truth](https://thewholetruthfoods.com/categories/protein-powder-pro) : mixes really well, lighter texture than many Indian brands. Also generally easy on digestion for most people.
\* [Foodstrong](https://foodstrong.co/?aff=485) : This was easy to digest for me compared to some overly sweet brands. Their flavors are less sweet and more drinkable daily if you are looking for flavoured one.
\* โ [Only whatโs needed](https://onlywhatsneeded.in): This one is clean and widely trusted. This is comparatively less sweet than those of other brands. Light on stomach and does the job.
Amul is also good option but some people find it heavy on stomach. You can buy their trial pack and try. It is quite affordable if it does the job for you.
plant protein always feel a bit thicker/chalkier than whey. If you want to try any other brand than cosmix you can try plant or yeast protein by OWN , Foodstrong, Superyou or even TWT(TWT sell it unnecessarily expensive though)
One more thing: check brands that are independently tested on Trustified or any other third party before buying. The brands I mentioned above generally do okay there. ๏ฟผ

I tried YogaBarโs unflavoured plant protein and honestly almost puked.
Before that, I was using unflavoured whey from The Whole Truth, and it was almost like drinking plain water, very easy to consume.
Plant protein is very different though. The taste and texture are much harsher, so Iโm not sure unflavoured plant protein is worth buying at all.

Better go with soy protein from asitis. I tried nutrabay pea protein and the taste is not good but asitis soy protein isolate is much better in digestion, taste, and high protein . I got 2kg for 1350 from hyuga life
As the title says I am looking to buy a pea protein
Now I am not preferring it over whey protein I used the help of chat gpt and sent him the ingredients and nutrition facts of every whey protien I could find around 1000-1200 rupees ( 10.50- 12.60 dollars )bcs that's my budget and there was none that wasn't half chemical or shit and it wasn't worth risking my health
Then I decided to shift to pea or plant protien and I actually found one that even chat gpt approved of that its good
It's name is nutrabay 1kg pea protien unfalvoured the only problem is that's it's very bad in taste but looking at my budget i seriously don't care and they even have a lab report
But I have seen a lot of people shit over pea protien on yt insta etc
I don't understand do they hate the people who prefer pea over whey protein they hate pea protein in general i don't understand
And my budget will stay fixed at 1000 rupees ( 10.50 dollars ) have no option if you have any good whey protien
