iama “Consumer Reports tested 23 popular protein powders and shakes, and found concerning levels of lead in most of them. Got questions? Ask CR in our AMA.”
I drink a significant portion of my daily calories via Garden of Life Raw Meal (meal replacement shake vs protein powder). Typically two servings a day, sometimes three. This has been my diet for about three years now and I've been very consistent with it. The Garden of Life protein powder is suggested to be limited to 1.25 servings per week. Both this powder and the meal replacement powder I drink have pea protein listed as the first ingredient. Should I be concerned?

supplements “best quality supplement brands without any fillers or junk?”
Honestly I stopped overthinking it. I pick a couple brands I trust and stick to them. Thorne for magnesium and Omegas. Garden of Life for multis even though they’re kinda pricey. And then Neurogan for CBD because the oils hit consistently and I like that they’re transparent with testing. The CBN one is mellow without making me groggy. If a company doesn’t post a COA I don’t bother anymore.

Hey! For high-quality, third-party tested supplements with minimal fillers, check these: - Thorne Research (very clean, top testing) - Pure Encapsulations (hypoallergenic, strict quality) - Life Extension (wide range, well-tested) - NOW Foods (good testing, budget-friendly) - Designs for Health (professional-grade) - Nordic Naturals (best for fish oils) - Garden of Life (clean herbals and multis) Look for NSF, USP, or ConsumerLab seals for extra assurance. We built Suppie to help people easily check supplement quality by scanning or searching any product and seeing a clear breakdown of its ingredients and formulation.
