I need to upgrade my WFH desk setup because my current study chair's seat foam has gone completely flat and my lower back is paying the price. I’m looking closely at The Sleep Company Onyx ergonomic chair, but it’s definitely a bit of an investment compared to Greensoul chairs. The main thing drawing me to it is that it has a SmartGRID seat instead of foam which as per company claims is better for back and tailbone support. I usually sit for 9+ hours a day for work, and I need a good chair for my back. I’m also looking at getting a Green Soul chair as an alternative, since they are pretty popular and a bit cheaper, but I worry the foam seat on those won’t be great fot long hours of work. For anyone who has used the Onyx chair long-term I have a few questions: Does the grid seat actually support your posture? And is it too firm? Does it hurt your tailbone after a while? If you've used a Green Soul chair before, how does the Onyx compare? Is it a smart financial investment? Do you have any regrets? Please let me know.
