Honestly, I was looking for a Herman Miller Aeron. Didn't know what the Embody even was. After finding this, I googled it and was SHOCKED how expensive it is. Even more expensive than the Aeron?? So I immediately grabbed it lol. Really nice, very amazing upgrade from my \~$20 Bezos Basics office chair I've been using for 5 years now.. and for only $150! Aside from a few minor scratches, it's in good condition and working well! Seller told me they had it in storage for 8 years and got it from their old job. Would never buy it for how much it costs new, but at this price barely used? Heck yeah!

neutralofficechairs “Herman Miller Embody vs. LiberNovo Omni. One month review”Hey guys, I've had the LiberNovo Omni for about a month now. I work from home 3 days a week and I'm a messive gamer, like 4+ hours a day for gaming. I also own a regular Herman Miller Embody, so I figured I'd share my experience of both chairs. I know a lot of people are stuck in that exact spot. Headrest: The Embody doesn't have one. Based HM says you don't need it if you're sitting right. For upright, that's totally fine. Emm... but once I lean back, it's a problem for me. The top of the chair hits right at my shoulders, so my head just kind of hangs there, which gets annoying. The Omni is pretty soft and it doesn't feel like you're leaning against a stiff piece of plastic. Backrest: The Embody is flatter. I feel like I have to let my body to find the support and sit right. While the Omni has more of that wrap-around feel. It feels more natural the second you sit down, like the chair is coming to meet your back. Armrests: I also noticed a big difference here. The Embody is good for typing, but since I play a lot of controller games, the Omni is better. I can angle the arms inward so they actually support my forearms while I'm holding a controller or my iphone. Seat: I love that the Embody has an adjustable seat depth because I like to sit cross-legged while I work. The Omni's seat length is fixed, just fits me well. I'm not really sitting cross-legged while gaming anyway, so as long as my feet are on the floor or a footrest, it's not an issue. Recline: The Embody doesn't lean back nearly as far as the Omni. 160 degrees on the Omni is great because if I'm wiped out, I can chill on it.

neutralbuyitforlife “Great Experience with Herman Miller”Someone here posted about saving up for a Herman Miller chair and I thought about a recent experience I had with my Herman Miller chair that I should share here, since it really applies to this sub. I was once a lawyer and about 10 years ago I decided to reward my backside by splurging on a Herman Miller Embody chair. I loved it and got a lot of great use out of it. Eventually, I left the legal profession and my chair went into storage. I recently took on another office job and brought my chair out of storage, but sadly, one of the adjustable arms wasn't functioning properly. I looked around to see what it would cost to repair the chair myself because I figured there was no way it was still under warranty after 10 years. I called my local Herman Miller dealer and they put me in touch with a Herman Miller customer service rep. I told him what was going on and he said, "No problem we'll send out a repair guy to replace the arm for you!" It took about 30 days for the repair guy to get the part and within a few days he drove an hour and a half to my office to fix my chair. No cost. I want to make it clear that I am not being paid in any way by Herman Miller to make this post. I am just a big fan of their customer service and will be a customer for life! They clearly stand behind their products in a way that most companies don't.

And let me tell you, the premium chair market is a grossly overpriced. Are they better than some $50 squeaky torture device from Target? Obviously. But are they worth $1,500 to $2,000? Absolutely not. For two grand, you can buy a MacBook and literally start a business. What groundbreaking, extraterrestrial materials or alien technology truly justify this price tag? Spoiler alert: nothing. We aren’t paying for space-age ergonomics; we’re paying for bloated marketing budgets, brand prestige, and the kind of sickeningly healthy profit margins that make Shark Tank investors drool. Welcome to late capitalism. I get the hustle, but why are we all blindly buying into it? So here is my naive, crazy, but ultimately correct advice: Do not buy these chairs right now. The Embody and the Omni are just the Peloton bikes of the post-COVID era. Have you checked Facebook Marketplace lately? It’s a graveyard of "like new" Pelotons going for $300. These chairs are next. Hold your wallets for a few months. Between the looming recession, endless geopolitical chaos, and an energy crisis knocking at the door, the economic weather is looking grim-Sponsored by the happy couple, Bibi/Trump. We are staring down the barrel of major corporate layoffs, massive office closures, and beautiful, glorious liquidation sales. I know, if the economy tanks, buying a chair might not be your top priority. But if you do really need one, that is going to be the absolute best time to strike. The great premium chair market crash is coming. Just wait it out.
