TITAN Evo

Planning my next upgrade. I’ve been using an IKEA desk for a while, but running into an issue where the cable management tray underneath interferes with my footrest. Considering swapping to the white Secretlab Magnus, any other suggestions is welcome! Recently bought the Secretlab Titan Evo XL in the White 'Nanogen'. Let's just say it was a lot brighter white than i was expecting it to be in my head! I've slowly started adding drops of white to the rest of the setup to compensate. I hear good things about their desks so might eventually consider the white one they have.. but it's a tough price point to justify. Any questions or suggestions on what to add next let me know. Trying to make the chair not loud as loud an overpowering in the setup. Was thinking of adding acoustic panelling to the wall somewhere and getting some kind of rug.. already starting to damage the carpet.. oops. Then eventually look to change the case and aesthetics of the PC to add a white case and maybe Lian Li RGB fans.

Hi everyone, Creating this post to share my experience with the new **SecretLab ATLAS LARGE**. To give you some context, I’m one of those people who actually loves SecretLab for what they are: a good, big, firm chair. I’ve owned the original Titan for almost 6 years, and my wife has had the Titan Evo for 2 years. I’ve never had a single complaint about my Titan, I can sit in it for 20 hours straight without any issues. Since I work from home 3 days a week and gaming is my main passion, I spend a *lot* of time at my desk. I wanted to treat myself to their latest model, the ATLAS. For reference, I’m **1m87 (6'1") and 110kg (242lbs)**. Unfortunately, it’s a massive disappointment for me, and I’ve already started the return process. Here is why: # 1. The Ergonomics & Height (Dealbreaker for tall people) Right from the first sit, I knew there was a major issue. The wheelbase sits lower and the seat cushion itself is less bulky. As a result, the chair simply doesn't go high enough. It is clearly too low for my height. To get any support under my thighs, I have to spread my feet wide apart to the sides of the chair. If I put my legs straight in front of me, they don’t even touch the seat cushion, which makes it very uncomfortable. # 2. The Adjustable Seat Depth The new feature that allows you to slide the seat forward is cool on paper. However, doing so leaves a massive gap between the backrest and the seat. Honestly, you can really feel it; it feels like my butt is falling right into the gap. # 3. The Tilt & Recline Mechanism * **The Good:** The upright locking mechanism works perfectly. I prefer sitting completely straight, and it delivers on that. * **The Bad:** Once unlocked, even with the tension set to the absolute maximum, there is barely any resistance. I feel like I’m "falling" backward way too easily. On my old Titan, I get great support when upright, but I can also lean back progressively. The recline angle on the ATLAS just feels way too intense. (Granted, this is personal preference, I've never understood the appeal of laying completely flat in an office chair). On top of that, I miss being able to lock the tilt at a slight, less aggressive angle like I can on the Titan. # Conclusion Overall, the ATLAS is a letdown for me. If you are tall (anything over 1m80 / 5'11") or on the heavier side, I really don't think this is the chair for you. I'm heading back to my trusty 6-year-old Titan for now. Let me know if you have any questions before I ship it back! **UPDATE:** After spending about 7 hours sitting in this chair, here is the verdict: * **Neck pain:** Because the tilt mechanism lacks resistance, I find myself constantly leaning forward to keep the chair from tilting back too easily. My neck is completely compensating for it. * **Tailbone pain:** That huge gap between the seat and the backrest is a killer. It is putting way too much pressure on my coccyx. Yep, it’s a real shame, but this is definitely going back. 😞

As the title indicates, I’m looking for assistance in choosing a new chair. I work from home for about 8-9 hours daily and game for another 1-2 hours. I’m currently using a Secretlab Titan XL that I bought in 2018, but I’ve had to replace the armrests twice and the seat cushion once. Additionally, I find that my back gets sweaty after sitting for extended periods. I’m 6'2" tall and weigh around 265-268 pounds. I recently discovered the AndaSeat NEW Kaiser 4, but there are few reviews available. If anyone has experience with it, I’d appreciate your feedback! Otherwise, I’d be grateful for any recommendations for a more comfortable, durable chair that better fits my needs. Thanks in advance!

So I’m writing this on behalf of my partner. **Situation:** My partner recently bought the **Magnus Evo**, when she had actually meant to purchase the **Magnus Pro**. Within under 24 hours, we contacted customer support to try and either change the order to the correct desk, or cancel it completely. They said changing the order was not possible. They also said cancelling it was not possible, even though the item had not actually been picked up by the courier yet. Because of this, my partner immediately reordered the correct desk, the **Magnus Pro**, with the intention of refusing delivery of the Evo, or worst case, sending it back ourselves at what we assumed would be a reasonable cost. However, when the delivery arrived, the driver from BJS said we could not refuse delivery of just the Evo because everything had been sent as one consignment. That meant if we refused it, we would also have had to refuse the correct desk as well. I’ve now been looking at return quotes, but I’m having to estimate the weight based on Google because the shipping label says **13.333kg**, which is wildly off. The quotes I’m getting are around **£200** to return an item that we tried to cancel before it was even sent. **My thoughts:** I completely understand that we should still pay their original shipping cost, so I’m not expecting a refund on Secretlab’s delivery fee. Honestly, I’d even accept being charged another £25–£50 if they sent us a prepaid return label. But at the moment, it feels like we have been given literally no reasonable option. What I don’t understand is why the package was sent as one consignment. Surely, if they were able to consolidate everything into one delivery, they could also have stopped just one part of the order, even if we still had to pay the original shipping cost. The company is otherwise amazing when it comes to their products, but after being shafted like this, I honestly don’t know if I still want to use them for my desk and chair. **Question:** Has anyone had any experience with this, and what did you end up having to do? Obviously, I know this is partly on us because it was a change of mind / wrong item ordered situation, so I’m not expecting anything for free. I just think there should be a more reasonable option than paying around £200 to return something we tried to cancel before it even left them. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. **Update:** Secret labs have agreed to a complimentary return of this and to further investigate. From my perspective i am happy with this as the outcome but would obviously caution anyone tobreally double check though i would hope they would adjust things so orders can be stopped if required. I will update this post once we have any further information or to at least confirm how our refund came back and if it was the full amount. Appreciate everyones kind support on this.
