ROG Chariot Core Gaming Chair

Hey everyone, I’m trying to decide between these three chairs: • Backforce One Plus • Fractal Design Refine Mesh • ASUS ROG Destrier Ergo My priorities: • softer seat (not “extra firm”) • great back support / ergonomics for long sessions (office + gaming) • good adjustability (armrests, lumbar, seat depth, headrest, tilt, etc.) Do you have experience with any of them? Which would you pick and why? Also open to other recommendations up to €700 (EU availability preferred). Thanks! 🙌

Asus has the best BIOS and the most logical PCI lanes layout. However, any B850 or X870 within your budget should do the job. You NEED a good PSU with at least 1200watt. Seasonic is among the best if available.

Looking to buy a 2k card, current options are Asus Prime RX 9070 OC (non Evo, non XT) for 545€ and Asus Dual RTX 5070 OC (non Evo) for 571€. The price diff between them is basically irrelevant, both are good deals. Being tracking prices for a while though and I feel like this is the best time to pull the trigger for me. I currently have an 3060 12GB OC on FHD, so it's about time. I've seen every reputable benchmark/test I could find, most of them are 6+ months old though. My understanding is that AMD optimized drivers better this gen, is that true? My current understanding is that 9700 leads by 15-20% on average in both raster and upscale, older comparisons were around 8% and opinions were based on 9700 being more expensive. My use case is gaming, I don't go through many titles though. My main game will run comfortably on both. I just finished Subnautica 2, which is a rare occasion about a game I was hyped about and actually played it. I mainly want to move to 2k and be comfortable for a while. Now that I've covered the above, here's the things that have me at a mental stalemate. My last experience with Radeon was over a decade ago and it was truly awful. Like BSOD and months of issues, triggers minor PTSD just recalling it. I went Nvidia after that and never had a single GPU related issue since, I highly value that. Last big Radeon issue that I experienced through my friend group, was Warzone consistently crashing 2 generations ago, when drivers were "good". Dude moved to Nvidia after months of frustration and unsuccessful reddit solutions. We all sticked with team green since, no idea how Radeon does now. So, what would be the REALLY annoying issues I'd be facing with a Radeon 9070 nowadays? People are glazing it too much when I'm looking around here, I can't find big downsides. I know about the small FSR4 list and shitty frame gen. Any crashes, BSOD, driver issues, complete lack of support on games? Nvidia is the safest option on software, but I'm keeping GPUs for years and VRAM may be an issue. I have noticed though in comparisons, that 5070 often uses less VRAM in general (up to 2GB less), so may be less of an issue? Forza Horizon 6 already needs 12GB to run well, so the future is bleak. Next gen consoles are close and will likely accelerate that. I know that the best value on paper is 9070, but I'm unwilling to go for it if I have to give up any piece of mind basically. But I'm too bias against Radeon to be objective. Since it seems like the better option this gen, I'm trying to get more objective through (direct and indirect) experiences from you guys. Please refrain from extremely glazing either of them, feels like some ppl try to validate their choice when it's too much

I own an ASUS ROG Strix G18 laptop, but since I use it strictly as a desktop replacement (it just sits on my desk and never moves), I’m seriously considering selling it to build a proper desktop gaming PC. Pure Power 12 M 750W ​ I mostly use my system for gaming and general daily tasks. Given that my laptop already has a powerful i9 CPU, will I see a massive, noticeable jump in gaming performance moving to this desktop with the RTX 5070? ​ Is it worth selling this laptop for this desktop setup, or am I better off just keeping the laptop for now? ​

Dear buildapc community, I would like to build a new pc (it will run with Linux, probably ubuntu). I would like to not go further than 1800€, for the moment i thought about: \- CPU : Intel Core i5-14600KF 3.5 GHz 14-Core Processor \- Ventirad : Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler \- Motherboard : Asus PRIME H770-PLUS D4 ATX LGA1700 \- RAM : Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory \- SSD: Western Digital WD\_Black SN850X w/Heatsink 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive \- GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5070 WINDFORCE OC SFF 12G \- Alimentation: be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 650W \- Case: Fractal Design Define R5 (I don't like RBG and stuff so no need for a window) I've got several concerns: \- Will the SSD with the integrated heatsink be able to fit in M2 slot with Shield Frozr protection ? Should I switch for something without heatsink ? \- 5070 GPU paired with a 14600KF, i'm worried about a potential bottleneck ? In the other hand I read that the 14700KF tend to overheat, even though I chose what seems to be a good cooler but i'm not feeling confident with a potential overheating CPU knowing i'm going to work on this PC (data science, bioinformatics, a bit of gaming but nothing crazy I don't give a damn about running game in 4k). What do you think about it ? I'm not a huge fan of watercooling, there almost no difference using watercooling or ventirad, at least with ventirad no risk of leaking. \- Perhaps I am missing something ? feel free to give me your honest opinion may be i'm doing something wrong.
