I wandered over to Slickdeals & ordered a Sharp Plasmacluster on a FOMO whim. So good for you for researching first; I'm not super impressed with the unit. If I had it to do over again, I'd buy a Shark or Winix. I also realized after the fact that there are dogs with hair ... And then there are dogs with fur & am sensitive to the latter... Could that be the difference? Oh, and sorry for the loss :(

Sharp makes most microwave drawers and they are garbage. I own a Sharp version. If you want a great microwave, get a counter top Panasonic or LG Inverter microwave for $300. I regret getting the drawer. I always use the LG if my wife isn't using it.

We have two of the Sharp drawers. First one 11 years old, second one 1 year old (second kitchen). Obviously we were happy with the first one. The newer one is better as controls are hidden on a flip out panel that is much easier to read than the older front mounted controls when the unit is installed below counter height. While you have a bad situation either way without a vented hood, I imagine that there must be some recircs with better filtration than the tiny mesh square on an OVR microwave unit. Also the OVR takes up a lot of space in exactly the area where you want good light and visibility. Unless you are super short of cabinet space, I would go for the Sharp for these reasons alone. I'm not sure what country/currency you are referencing at 2k. The Sharp is listed at $1,500 regular price on Amazon. We bought our second one as an Amazon warehouse deal for about $700 as I recall, likely during Prime Days. Prime Days coming up on Monday - it's worth a look.
