I am looking for a budget friendly option to improve air quality to specifically mitigate VOCs. My apartment building is being renovated (my apartment itself is not being renovated but the VOCs are finding their way into our space). We own rats who have extremely sensitive respiratory systems and are worried about their health. We are also concerned for our own health but can’t spend more than $200 at the moment. Unfortunately, the Austin unit is far out of our price range but I saw that the Levoit Vital 200s is within our price range and does have some VOC filtration capabilities. I also saw in the comparison video that the Levoit offers specialized filters for more smoke and VOC filtration. Is this our best value/budget option? Would also love for the air purifier to filter ammonia and dust well, as these are also major irritants for our little ratties! Thank you in advance! (Will happily use amazon affiliate links when purchasing as well!)

I've never owned one, I've almost always used the "air purifier" function of my air conditioner, but I would like better performance in deodorizing the room from cooking and food odors. I've seen some reviews for the Levoit Vital 100S. My room is about 15m² (approximately 161 sq ft) and it seems like it could do a good job. I'm mainly interested in the activated carbon filters, which appear to be very effective at eliminating odors. However, since I've never had one and know nothing about the topic, I would like some information from you. specifically, whether you recommend this product or if there is something even better. I'm not too concerned about the cost of replacement filters, and the noise doesn't need to be excessively quiet; I don't use it in the bedroom anyway, so an average noise level is not a problem. Thank you.

I’m leaning towards the Levoit Vital 1000S-P or Core 300-P. i’ll be honest - I don’t know much about air purifiers. both of these seem comparable in terms of sq ft but the size and price are different. my roommate right now has an air purifier (unsure of brand) and i’ve noticed a huge difference so i’d like to get my own when I move out. open to other suggestions as well, I would like to stay under $150 for the unit itself. also my apartment will be mainly carpeted, if that makes a difference.

I have read on rtings about issues with 300s but are they present in Europe? Smart features might come in handy for home assistant integration but not a deal breaker. Which of those 3 is the optimal choice regarding filtration/noise ratio? All 3 seem to be relatively quiet (24 dB) in silent/night mode but then is the filtration/ventilation still good enough? I'm also getting Levoit Vital 200s for an open space of kitchen, dining and living room (40 m2) but looking for a more affordable option for the bedroom.
