Grew up poor where basic necessities were a luxury. Moved back to India permanently and came back with just my clothes. Looking for suggestion on what to buy and where to buy from. Not looking for marketing gimmicks or luxury tags, looking for products that justify their price tags with their quality. - ~~Vacuum cleaner: Split between Miele C1 and Dyson, open to any other product~~ Ordered Miele C1 - ~~Hair dryer: Is Dyson worth the price or any other product recommendation~~ Purchased the 23k Dyson - Mattress and Bed - Towels: thick ones like in hotels - Thick curtains: that block light and noise - Office chair - Heated blanket for couch - Room heater/ hot cold air split AC - water purification system: or alternatively are bisleri 20l bottles superior - Height adjustable office table - Good looking big ceiling fan for large living area - water heater - ~~Air purifier~~ Purchased Dyson HP02 - Toilet seat, ideally with similar features- had one with heated seats, retractable bidet etc. - Bathroom mirror with antifog heat - heated towel rack - microwave - washer dryer unit with heated drying - clothes iron - Large TV - TV soundbar system: Sony BRAVIA Theatre Quad (HT-A9M2) or Sonos or JBL Additional questions: where to buy from. I am more than happy to buy from offline sources or third parties which can ensure original product. Concerned/anxious after a friend said I will end up with fake products in original packaging even on Amazon. Some products feel like white labelling chinese products at semi premium prices. Any product not on the list, I should also purchase? Thanks! EDIT: Answering a few other things. Currently renting but planning to move to an apartment building floor slightly less than 2000 sq ft. Likely location Gurgaon/Dwarka. Gender: Male. Age 35 Single

Washer/Dryer (Negotiate to <53K): https://www.reliancedigital.in/product/bosch-1056-kg-fully-automatic-front-loading-washer-dryer-wna2e4ucin-cast-iron-grey-mfwkpl-9483888 Big TV (aim for 25% off MRP): Samsung S95F Vacuum: Consider Roborock, Dyson is good for handheld but buy one with extra battery. Wired for deep cleaning sessions. TV Sound Bar: DON’T. Buy a receiver with bookshelf/centre speakers. Check r/hometheatre for recs Office Chair: Absolutely don’t cheap out here. Steelcase, Herman Miller, etc. If budget is an issue: Featherlite has some good models placed over mid-high price range in their catalog Mattress (aim for 20% discount): Buy something with Coir+Latex Foam, again not a place you can cheap out. I bought OrthoMagic Elite from Kurl On very recently, so too early for a BIFL rec but it’s been good so far. Needless to say, only buy from physical store after trying out. Air Purifier: Buy multiple, Dyson is good if aesthetic is a concern. If optimising purely on price/value: Coway or Smart Air SA600/Blast (not mini). Hair Dryer: Dyson airwrap is overkill and bulky. The regular one is good and BIFL. Towels: Masper Split AC: OGeneral, Blue Star, Daikin (in order of preference, and price) Pro Tip: For big box electronics, Reliance Digital and Croma will offer best prices, especially when clubbed with no cost EMIs. Negotiate hard, pitch them against each other and try to do block deals (club purchases together) for maximum leverage.

buyitforlife “Help! Confused with vacuum cleaner reviews !!”
This is gonna be a bit of a rant: I’ve been feeling this on social media a lot lately, that everyone’s constantlyyyy trying to sell you something. Like there’s some sort of stakes involved, some affiliate business behind the scenes. It makes me so frickin’ mad, like I have no idea what to buy, what not to buy, million different voices screaming in my frickin face about random brands I’ve never even heard about. Is it all a scam???? Cos that’s hella what it feels like. Stopped trusting instagram creators entirely, but reddit I think is mostly safe in all of this, there’s a couple of bad eggs here and there. So found this random website I’ve been trawling the reddit vetted site, basically a product comparison algorithm, (most of the data seems to be from reddit and amazon) and the results made me go a little bit like huh????? So onto the situation at hand that i was on reddit vetted for: Been wanting to get a bifl vacuum cleaner, don’t have any preferences for corded or cordless, I just know the cordless ones do tend to die out a little quicker in terms of shelf life. (I have spent too much time being scammed by instagram trad wife creators here, so bear with me). I was obviously considering the dyson but the ratings on reddit vetted were abysmal for a lot of their models, like the Ball Animal 3 was at 2.8ish stars I think. I’ve always been under the impression from social media that dyson’s become people’s holy grail brand. Has that just been a really long thought out marketing stint? Or does it only apply to their air wrap cos the hype around that was insane. I really feel like a lot of brands have started just gaining traction because they’re trending and their appliances dont actually work for more than a year. Experienced this first hand when I got a remington straightener and boy did that baby die out on me fasss I wanna make sure the vacuum I buy at least lasts 5-7 years and right now I’m leaning more towards the Miele one (3.6 stars) even though it’s like a hundred dollars cheaper. Now, I trust the data, I think algorithms at least get the frequency of positive or negative reviews right, so I was wanting to confirm these ratings here from real people. Is there any other way I could confirm these ratings, without manually having to go through reviews? Is the dyson really that bad to have such low ratings? I’m assuming I’ll get some comments that can confirm or deny this enough for me to make a decision on whether to trust these algorithms. Cos the website is really convenient, I usually don’t like to post these product questions to the r/ itself, there’s either too many options to pick from or everyone’s just telling me HOW to vacuum right.

dyson “Dyson Hushjet Air Purifier deep review ?”
I bought it and I like it better than the rest of my non dyson purifiers because of the 5 year Hepa filter, but mostly because I have a sound studio that is extremely quiet and all other purifiers are too loud. Fan speed 1 is inaudible which is a shock to me. You can control it from the app and it even tells you the filter life as a percentage. It has 2 built in sensors PM10 and PM 2.5. You can check your indoor air quality index relative to your outdoor air quality index via the app. This fan has 10 speeds which is the most I've seen and it has an auto fan feature as well which is what I use since my sister always burns her food when she cooks. It circulates the house and the Dyson ramps up speed to deal with it quickly. I love it, let me know if you have any questions for me.
