Hi everyone, I’m planning to buy an air purifier and I’m stuck between Coway AirMega 150 and Mi Air Purifier 4 Lite. I’ve already gone through a lot of reviews, but I want long-term, real-world feedback specifically from people who have lived with these machines in Delhi/NCR conditions. These are my main questions for users of Mi and Coway purifiers: 1. What are your long-term thoughts about Mi air purifiers? Are they reliable beyond the first year? Any issues with sensors, motors, auto mode, app, etc? 2. How well do they actually filter air in Delhi pollution? Do PM2.5 levels really drop to safe numbers when the room is closed? Any difference between peak winter season vs normal days? 3. How long do the filters last in real usage? Mi claims 6–12 months. What’s your actual experience? For Coway 150, does the HEPA+carbon pack really last close to a year? 4. How is customer support after warranty expires? Especially for Mi after 2+ years. And for Coway, during its longer warranty — do they really respond well? Additional questions based on my doubts: 5. Filter availability I checked older Mi models (2 & 3) and noticed people are still ordering filters until recently. Is filter availability generally stable for MI even for older models? Can I expect filters for the Mi AP 4 Lite to be easily available for the next 2 years? 6. Long-term durability Has anyone faced issues after 2–3 years with either brand? (e.g., fan dying, PCB issues, AQI sensor inaccuracies) 7. real CADR performance in Delhi Does Coway 150 feel underpowered for a typical Delhi bedroom (120–150 sqft) during peak smog days? Is Mi AP 4 Lite good enough or does it struggle? 8. Is an air purifier even necessary if I'm staying in Delhi for ONLY 1 YEAR? This is a big question for me. If I'm going to live here for just one year, should I invest in a purifier or is it not worth it? About my usage: I’m staying in Delhi for 1 year, mainly in a medium-sized bedroom. Pollution here is obviously bad, so I’m trying to understand whether spending ₹10k–₹18k makes sense for short-term living. I want reliable filtration, affordable filters, and minimal long-term headaches. If you’ve owned Mi or Coway purifiers for more than 1–2 years, please share your honest experience — the good, the bad, and the unexpected. Also let me know if you have any other recommendation. but while recommending a particular brand/product please try to answer some of the important questions I asked above wrt that product. Want to purchase coway or MI purifier but there are either out of stock or priced high due to shortage. Has anyone bought a purifier recently. Please suggest any website or store selling the same. Coway and MI are 1st preference. In case they are not available, then I will go for other brands. Kindly suggest othrt good brands

I have pretty bad allergies so every dust season (damn that sounds dystopian) they act up. I lived in a few condos and there’s a noticeable difference in symptoms with and without air purifiers. I currently have 2 and planning to get another 1, so I have 1 for each room. In some people’s eyes it may seem like a waste of money but in my eyes it’s an insurance for your health. I’d rather spend a few thousand baht if it means saving me from suffering decades down the line. Similarly, the risk and return or not wearing a helmet on a motorcycle is absolutely horrible. I don’t understand why people don’t wear them. For air purifiers I use Xiaomi. I have a 3C and a 4 Lite. The initial I’ve used for a I think 5 years and the latter I’ve had for abit more than a year both with no issues. My Xiaomi 3H has developed a bit of a high frequency whine, I think from the air quality sensor fan after 4 years. I also have a Bwell that is quieter, but also doesn't have as many hours on it as the Xiaomi.

I have gone through the sub and seen suggestions like Coway and Mi. Put the coverage area is way bigger than what I require. What would you suggest for something that needs to cover only my bedroom which is around 120 sq ft? P. S. I have Asthma. I would like to know if I should look for something specific in the filter specs.
