PuriCare 360 Air Purifier

I’ve been running the LG as601hbb0 for a couple weeks in my Raleigh house, bouncing it between a bedroom and an open living area. I mess with air cleaners a lot because comfort and air quality live together, and this lg puricare 360 air purifier is trying to be a “serious” whole-room unit, not a tiny desktop toy. Filtration tech is the main sell here: NanoFiber True HEPA plus that 360-degree intake. Particle capture effectiveness seems legit for fine dust and pet dander, and it reacts fast if I kick up junk folding laundry or sweeping. Real-time air indicators are actually useful, not casino lights. The PM 1.0 sensor and the LED ring change quickly during cooking, and the air quality monitoring in the LG ThinQ app tracks trends without pretending it’s lab gear. Coverage area efficiency is a bit of marketing vs reality. “Up to 2,059 ft² in 1 hr” might be true under ideal airflow, but CADR in real homes depends on placement, doors, returns, and furniture. In my open plan it helped, but it’s not magic through corners and closed rooms. Odor removal performance surprised me though, onions and garlic cleared quicker than my older Hepa unit, and cat box funk didn’t linger as long. Noise level experience is a strong point. Sleep mode is very low, and even medium feels like a gentle fan hum, not a rattly box. Automatic mode functionality is the set-it-and-forget-it part: it ramps up hard when it senses particulate, then backs down. Smart app integration is… fine. WiFi setup was easy since I already use ThinQ, but I’m still skeptical of “smart” for the sake of it. Basic controls on the unit work, button control is straightforward, and setup/usability is basically plug in and go. Design/build quality feels solid and the white cylinder looks clean, but mobility and placement options are the weak spot. At about 15 lb and no handle, it’s awkward to move room to room, kinda annoyig. Filter replacement process looks simple, and the app nag for replacement is handy, but replacement filters usually cost more than generic brands. Price sits mid-to-high vs Levoit/Winix type competitors, closer to “pay for the sensor and build.” Allergy and asthma support seems real (AAFA cert), but I’d love to hear how it’s done for other pollen sufferers. Anybody else running this model long term, and how’s filter life and app reliability been?

Because! It's a cheap Chinese brand and it's going to be a headache for you in terms of repair. For that price you can get much better/ more reputed/ established brands like LG and Samsung.

So my MIL has a front loader LG washer and hates it. Wants to get rid of it. My GMA has the LG top loader with the agitator and doesn’t really like it. She says it doesn’t really clean that well even tho it has an agitator. Aunt has a top loader Samsung with agitator and doesn’t like it either. I ended up getting a top loader Pet pro Maytag with agitator and love it. When it came down to it, it was between 2 brands for me, and what I needed (Pet hair options) and it was Speed Queen, and Maytag. I think a front loader works better because well gravity but I have a preference for the top loader.
