Mi Desktop Monitor 1C

Hey guys, I’m having a tough time choosing my first 1440p monitor. My budget is pretty tight, around $350 USD (I’m a student and that’s basically all my savings), so yeah… options are limited. I also need a replacement asap since my current monitor just died. I’m not in the US, so no Newegg crazy deals for me. My only real option right now is Amazon Mexico. I’ll mainly use it for single-player gaming and watching content (movies, shows, YouTube), not competitive stuff. **Budget:** 340 € - 500 € **Use-Case:** *Short version:* *Subnautica 2 specifically at good quality if possible. Gaming, working. 2k on at least 3440x1440. Most people here have recommended to NOT buy a new PSU, because this GPU will probably still run with the power capacity that my current PSU has.

Man this market is tough. For one, there's a heap of VA mini-leds which have awesome contrast and less blooming but they're bound to have more ghosting and worse viewing angles than an IPS. This puts me right off them - I have seen videos of games like Poe or Diablo where this smear is so noticeable that it simply becomes a deal breaker for me. It looks downright awful and super distracting. Plus VRR flicker. And then you have IPS mini-led which I am interested in. These have a bit more blooming (which some models deal with a lot better than others) along with not quite as deep blacks as VA (which is honestly fine by me). The catch however is 1440p ones are so hard to find where I live - in fact the only ones available here are the Xiaomi ones (G Pro 27i & G Pro 27qi), but I've heard so many negative things about them that I don't think I'm gonna bother ordering one. There are some really good ones in the China market though (the Innocn and the Titan Army monitors are very popular in Asia). So at the moment I'm stuck with a standard 180hz IPS panel with annoying IPS glow and shitty contrast while waiting for a decent 1440p, IPS mini-led to come to the Australian market. OLED is simply not an option for me because of the 1440p text fringing, VRR flicker and, yes, as much as people want to deny it, eventual burn-in...oh and the tandems are so fucking expensive where I live.

The two monitors I'm considering are: **Xiaomi Mi ELA5375EU** 27" Full HD (1920×1080) 165Hz 1ms response time **LG UltraGear 27G411A** 27" Full HD (1920×1080) 144Hz 1ms response time The Xiaomi is slightly cheaper, while the LG is from the UltraGear gaming lineup. For those who have used either of these monitors: Which one would you choose and why? How are the colors, motion handling, and overall build quality? Any issues with ghosting, backlight bleed, or reliability? Is LG's reputation worth paying a little extra for over Xiaomi? I'd especially appreciate feedback from people who have owned either monitor long-term. Thanks in advance.
