“Im a big fan of the Dell ultrasharp u4025qw. the resolution is super sharp and it also has built in thunderbolt docking and a kvm so you can run a laptop and desktop cleanly without extra cables. you can find some good options in this thread”

buildapc “OLED is Worth it”

I don’t even notice it on my 1440p UW. Can’t tell the difference between it and the extremely standard office monitor (Dell E series VA) I use at work. That monitor is 1080p, to be fair, but the point is you’re not gonna struggle to read text on any OLED I’ve ever seen. I can see the difference in the HUB comparison videos where they zoom in on the fringing, but for all intents and purposes it’s a non-issue for me.

Following are prices of the items purchased outside Computech. SSD 2 : Seagate FireCuda 530 1TB w/ heatsink, which I orginally got for PS5(Amazon - 9900/-) Keyboard : HyperX Alloy Core RGB USB Membrane (Amazon - 3000) Mouse : Logitech G502(Amazon - 2400) Monitor(Primary) : Alienware 27 280Hz QD-OLED (Dell Store online - 51,000/- Monitor(Secondary) : Samsung Essential Series S3 24 inch IPS 120 HZ (Samsung Corporate - 5000/-) Lian Li UNI Fan SL-Infinity Wireless - 120 (Amazon - 3000) ASUS ROG Herculx Graphics Card Anti-Sag Holder Bracket (MDComputers - 3000) I coerced Computech into giving me the RAM at the same price as the initially ordered G.Skill Flare 6000MHz CL30. The overall delivery experience was great. Well packed. Had to fix the GPU, RAM which they provided in box for logistics safety. Feel free to AMA. Out of nostalgia, I also added few pics of my old PC :(

ultrawidemasterrace “Looking for Ultrawide Monitor for Home Office”

At this moment, I have a 24 inch and 27 inch monitor setup for my home office. I need 2 screens, can no longer work without them. Since I am leaving my company and have to give back the 27, I am thinking about using ultrawide monitor. I have read a lot of reviews, but I think experience is more worth than 1000 technical details. So I have some questions for you: 1. The price ranges are from like 300,- for 34 to 1800,- for a 57. It is for work, I am willing to pay the price, since I use it at least 8-9 hours per day, but do I really need to invest so much money? What is the difference from a really expensive to a mid range model, how does a 57 compare to a 49 inch one? I know the technical facts, but my eyes are no longer the best, so will there even be a difference for me? Is it possible to watch Netflix on such a monitor? Or will the image be stretched? The most important thing is that it needs to be easy on the eyes and very comfortable, since I need to look at it for so long. 2. 34 or 49 or 57? How many inches would you suggest? 3. Can I use this monitor as a splitscreen? I basically know that it is possible, but is it working flawlessly? I love to work from one screen into the other. Is it possible to have 3 monitoring areas at once? a 3rd screen would be nice to have sometimes. 4. Since I am a bit older and my eyes become tired after a while, is there a special monitor or setup that helps me with this problem? 5. Which monitor would you suggest, which model do you really love? oled_gaming “I owe you guys an apology”

Tons of new OLED owners complain about eye strain, myself included. People say it resolves after a few weeks. I was certain I had a SEVERE case of OLED eye strain and that my issues would not resolve. They did. But yeah glossy qd oled or nothin. I tried a few different woleds and qd OLEDs and landed on the Dell Alienware Aw3225qf.
