VP2785-4K 27 Inch 4K Ultra HD LED IPS Monitor

I recently acquired the Viewsonic VP2788 monitor alongside the MAC Mini M4, using the retired 2017 27" 5K iMac as a reference point. Upon inspecting the build quality, I found the fit and finish to be satisfactory. The monitor is equipped with two Thunderbolt ports: one for signal display input and the other for daisy chaining a second monitor. It took me some time to realize, while navigating the monitor's OSD, that the included Thunderbolt cable was connected to the incorrect port. I proceeded directly to the dead pixels test, which it passed without any issues. Although I do not utilize the monitor for professional creative tasks, the color accuracy and text sharpness appear to be on par with the 5K iMac, albeit lacking the "eye-popping visuals" characteristic of glossy screens. The two tin can speakers are quite poor in quality. The Viewsonic ColorPro 27" 5K VP2788 monitor, priced at $930 USD, met my specifications with no issues with screen flickering and wake-up, except for the matte screen and the uncertainty regarding long-term reliability; however, the three-year warranty encouraged me to finalize the purchase. I had a strong desire for the Apple Studio Display, and with rumors circulating about a new display featuring 27" and 32" mini LED technology being released soon, the Viewsonic will serve as a temporary solution until that time arrives. When comparing my Viewsonic VP2788 monitor with the MAC Mini M4 and the 27" 5K iMac, the aesthetics resembles a Frankenstein abomination creation. Edited: The monitor connected to a Mac Mini M4, the recommended color profile is Display DCI-P3 and Photographer ViewMode.

I currently have 2x 27” monitors - one is 2K and the other is 4K. Initially I was looking at replacing these with one 32” 4K monitor, however I’ve now started looking at 34” and 38” displays. I like the appeal of the higher screen on the 32” but know this can also be achieved with the 38”. I work in Microsoft 365 specifically in a SharePoint architect type role and often need to have various things open, including vm’s, vs code, browsers etc. Now I’m on the ultrawide path in trying to decide between 34 and 38. I am currently looking at the ViewSonic ColorPro VP3881a as have received a very good offer for one of these. Otherwise I was looking at the Lenovo P34W-20. I also have an Ikea SALJAN desk and would be mounting the monitor using a monitor arm respectively. Help me decide! :)

Hey , as of now I've had the LG UltraGear 27GR75Q-B IPS for 3 years and although i am happy with it i was looking a second monitor since i have been playing comp shooters and also work as a developer. Specs i was looking for : 24" 1080p 240hz+ Fast IPS 1ms GTG (I think ? Don't know what else i should be looking for in the price range) Note: I am by no means an enthusiast when it comes to monitor so i don't think the really high end ones are made for me (and my wallet). I was planning on keeping my current LG monitor and putting it on portrait mode as my second one and gaming on the the new one. My budget would be \~300 euros, ideally below that. Also i would like it to be widely available in EU if not Greece, because especially in Greece the prices/availabilities are usually not the best. (If i am out of touch with the market and a proper monitor with good specs is out of my price range feel free to correct me and suggest a good one within it, even if that means compromising a bit i.e. slightly lower refresh rate). The one i was looking at was the Viewsonic XG2431 but it's 330 euros here , which i think might be too much for said monitor. If it helps finding a suggestion my games of choice lately have been CS2 and Apex. Anyways any feedback would be appreciated.

I used to use a strobing led monitor. The best one according to blur busters even. Viewsonic xg2431. And it was amazing for a time. But the lowered brightness got to me in the end. And then frame generation came along, and paired with the lower response time of oleds, it's really not that different anymore if you can get around 160 fps with fg. Even 100 is ok. The increased brightness and oled clarity really makes up for it and more. Besides, a word of warning, my eyesight got worse after years of using the strobing monitors at 85hz. Now I can't say for sure it was the strobing to blame but... Anyway, if you do productivity work then yeah maybe atick with led.
