T27M6C Full HD LED Monitor

Like u/horizon936 was saying despite it being older there hasn't been much growth in the mini led space to begin with at least on the va side of things. the TCL 27R94 has upped the zone count to 2304 zones and has 3-5x times the full screen brightness of the neo g8, however, it still comes with all the va panel flaws like vrr flicker and gamma shift. The mini led ips panels are in a similar state as well although they have had a nice improvment to motion clarity as many of the newer ips mini leds have some sort of strobing which gives them much better motion clarity compared to va mini led and older ips mini leds, however, they still suffer from the fact that the native constrast is bad. LG is releasing a new 5k/1440p dual mode mini led with 2304 zones so im hoping they will have strobbing + use ips black panels which would finally be "next gen" although I doubt they will.

Posting here for others as this community has always been a great resource when monitoring shopping. Last year in November I settled on the KTC M32P10 monitor to upgrade to, from a 27” 1440p. Wanted 32”, 4k, better blacks but without the OLED burn in risk so mini led it was. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and the monitor would not display anything. The back light was working and it was recognized in windows but no display after trying all the usual fixes. From a suggestion on here I reached out to their support via Amazon instead of email. That resulted in decent customer service, at first they wanted to refund 50% since I’ve used it for 6 months but I pushed back since it came with a 3yr warranty and they relented and refunded the full amount. No option to replace as they’ve now discontinued the monitor. Of course I needed a replacement so after more research I opted for the TCL 32r84. So far, so good. The bloom is much less an issue than the KTC, it also wakes from sleep faster and just seems to be less finicky when powering up than the KTC.
