G27Q Gaming Monitor

Bought a Gigabyte M27Q-X monitor on 31st August 2025. Three months in, it developed blurry text AND black lines on the panel — classic hardware defect, nothing I did. Here's where it gets fun: Month 1-2 after raising ticket: Silence. I had to chase them AGAIN and raise a second ticket before they even acknowledged me. Their solution? "We'll pick it up for inspection." Fine. They did. Engineer confirmed the fault. Then came the bombshell: "We have no stock to replace it. Also can't import due to BIS regulations. So we'll issue a credit note instead." Okay, annoying, but fine. Except— They then told me they'd DEDUCT usage charges for the 3 months I used it before IT FAILED. Let that sink in. The monitor developed a manufacturing defect. It's under warranty. And Gigabyte India wants to charge me for the privilege of having used a faulty product before it broke. This is not "pay as you use" Netflix. This is a hardware warranty. You don't get to depreciate a device that failed because of YOUR defect. And now? 35–45 more days to process the refund through the dealer. I'm sitting without a monitor, can't buy a replacement because my money is locked with them, and there's zero urgency on their end. Gigabyte India doesn't care about customers. Their warranty policy is designed to make YOU pay for THEIR quality failures. Anyone else dealt with this? And does anyone know if this qualifies for a consumer forum complaint? Because I'm seriously considering it. \*\*TL;DR:\*\* Gigabyte monitor failed in 3 months → 1.5 months to respond → no replacement stock → deducted usage charges on a warranty claim → 35–45 days more wait → I'm stuck without a monitor. Absolute disgrace. Edit: After a month. No communication by them. Have to call their ever busy "customer care" number and getting reps who dont have any clue for the refund. Left without a monitor and 30,000. They don't even have a direct refund. Said that they will issue a credit note to the dealer from which i have purchased which will be another headache for later. REDDIT Gigabyte Rep u/Geralt_endur is not of much help too as he has not been able to push the case forward and has been idle since. Dont know why such torturous treatment to the customers. I hope audience here reads this and takes into consideration such experiences before purchasing from Gigabyte.

GPUs is to be used for the games and productivity applications, mainly for video editing (Resolve, Premiere), but I might also hop on programs like UE5, After Effects or even Blender. I'm a learner - this would be my first full actually good PC, and I'd like to start learning these programs because I had no ability before on my crappy laptops, so unfortunately, I had no previous before with them. Building in about 6 months, so yeah, much can change. Making my mind about viability of used RTX 4080s, as the perform better in many tests than Radeons. With good luck, I could buy them for about the same price as new 9070XTs, or just slightly more expensive. I figure getting maybe used 5070Ti, but people rarely sell them for the same price as 9070XT, even if they are second hand. 5070Ti costs more then 30% than 9070XT if buying brand new. If I could find one that I could test or ask seller to do this, should I go with 4080, or I'll be good with just 9070XT? Please give me some guidance, advice from personal experience or general recommendations :) I've got a max budget of roughly £300 and looking for a good 1440p monitor for mostly single player & co-op/PvE gaming, without sacrificing much in the way for productivity. From what I've understood from watching YouTube videos about monitors and reading on reddit etc; I'm currently looking for a 155hz+, IPS and ideally HDR1000/Mini-LED monitor. My shortlist so far: **AOC Q27G3XMN** (£300 currently) Has been mentioned a lot, but I'm not sure about going to a VA panel, and seems a bit low on the number of dimming zones. **Gigabyte M27Q2 QD** (£250 currently) The Q2 QD seems like a "safe" choice, but no stand out features/less of an upgrade and perhaps not as bright. **Gigabyte M27Q3** (£255 currently) The Q3 has just gone on sale for almost the same price as the Q" QD, but I don't really need the extra Hz and I think has worse contrast/colour accuracy? **LG UltraGear 27GS85Q** (£225 currently) Perhaps the least stand out features, but a safe and cheaper option? I also looked at the **MSI MAG 274QPF X30MV** and **KTC M27T6,** but both have fairly mixed reviews. About my existing setup. I have 10 year old LG 23"1080p IPS, 75Hz, 5ms monitor, which will become a second monitor. Depending on the weather (UK, so unpredictable), the room can get quite a lot of indirect sunlight at times which has been irritating for gaming at times. I have an RTX 3070, so 4K gaming would put me somewhere around 50fps, which is lower than I'd want. Am I right in saying that the general consensus is that running 1440p on a 4K monitor is not advised?

Pulled the trigger on on the Gigabyte MO27Q28G to replace it. Newegg put these on sale for $499 today. So, I went to my local MicroCenter, and they price matched it for me! Very happy with it about 2 hours in. Feel like that's a pretty good deal as well. My MSI IPS LCD monitor had the backlight go out on it. Apparently a super common problem for the model I had. Not real happy about it since it was like 2 weeks after the 3 year warranty expired. That's a story for another time though. Probably won't buy another MSI monitor ever again though.

Hi everyone, I'm in the process of building my first PC in the most horrible time to do this. I've got mostly what I want considering specs and I'll write down it below. My budget is about  2000 USD (about 7000-8000 PLN in the polish currency). I'm still in the process of saving money, and probably, my building would start in about 6 months. What should I go with considering GPU, if I wanted to do other stuff and learn some productivity tasks? Naturally, I'd like to also play current-realising games, some I've wanted to play in the past and some other titles in the forseeable future. This question was asked a thousand times, but mostly considering games and game performance, but I've got other activities I want to do with my PC, mainly, other creative task, mainly amateur video editing (primarily), music production and some basic game development. So I figure I would like to learn some Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, maybe some Photoshop, Gimp, FL Loops or even Unreal Engine 5. Naturally it's not what I do for a living - I'd like to learn these first. It was also asked a hundreds of times and general consensus seems to be that 5070Ti is worth getting, even for some more, because many softwares are designed to be used with Nvidia. The problem is, in Poland, the price difference between 9070XT and 5070Ti is at this point crazy. It's about 300$, so 30% paying more - if buying brand new, new 9070XT can be bought for 3000PLN (about 800$, 83% of minimum wage), and new 5070Ti is for 4000PLN (1000-1100$, 110% of minimum wage). Most of the posts I've read are recommending getting 5070Ti even if it's 100-150 USD more., especially if you're planning to actually work with productivity software programs, but man, 300$? I figure I could look for second-hand market 5070Ti for about 3400 PLN instead of new 9070XT (for which second hand markets sucks here, everybody's selling them for about their retail price). Would it be a viable, worth considering option? Or maybe just save a way more just for 5070Ti brand new? Or maybe the difference in my usage won't be that much worth, considering my position and price difference? I know that getting more RAM would be the best, but you probably know that this is not possible right now because of the prices, so I gotta stick with those 2x16GB for some time.
