supplements “Be aware of Transparent Labs enshittification”
Just in case you're like me and are concerned about things like heavy metals or contaminants in your supplements - I used to buy transparent labs based off their apparent commitment to, well, transparency. I swear they used to give out a COA of the lab results for each batch number on your package, that you could look up. They've since scrubbed that promise from their website, and now you can only view results for a cherrypicked "recent" lot, not the specific lot anymore. I thought I was going crazy but was able to find their archived Google data that showed their old promise. But they do get points I suppose for showing their results online, because the results are bad. If you consume a plant based protein powder, be aware that their vanilla and chocolate powders have between 1.4 and 2.2 micrograms of lead PER SERVING. The cadmium was 7.2 micrograms per serving. These are high for a single serving of a supplement. Very high. Very, very high. Unfortunately, I'm back to square one looking for an actually clean brand.

workout “What’s the best protein powder you’ve tried?”
I’m not exactly forcing anything down, but I definitely get tired of a flavor by the end of a tub… so I’ve been rotating powders for a few years now just to keep it interesting.  There’s actually a Reddit user who put together [a protein powder comparison tool](https://www.reddit.com/user/Industrious_Bradly1/comments/1mv97y1/comparing_protein_powders_by_brand/) that breaks down a ton of different brands, and it’s been super helpful when I want to try something new. A few I’ve enjoyed: Transparent Labs vanilla, Optimum Nutrition extreme milk chocolate, and Levels unflavored (great for tossing into smoothies). All solid on taste and mixability, just depends on what mood I’m in.

Transparent Labs Plant Protein. Chocolate flavor is actually good, mixes clean, no grit. More expensive but worth it if taste matters to you
