“I think it's surprising how high GoPro still ranks. Most reviews are not so good. Rest sums up as expected. DJI and Insta are the topmodels, no surprise. I have the Insta X3 for casual, because it was highly recommended and I'm contemplating if I should get a mid tier DJI as a helmet cam in addition.”

negativeinsta360 “Purchasing from Insta360 directly vs Amazon”Insta360 has one of the over promising under delivering customer support. They promise to give credit and then keep changing their promises and tries to switch it to gifts instead of returning the money. Also, if you purchase their repair warranty, it’s stated on their site once you make the deductible replacement payment, they’ll ship out your repaired device without 3-5 business days. They took over 3 weeks after spam chatting / emailing them asking repeatedly where’s my replacement? They made the excuse they couldn’t ship it to me because the didn’t have any screen protectors in stock. I went to the insta360 website and saw the screen protector so I bashed them and demanded them to send me my camera and credit me for the screen protector which they’re still not trying to credit after the promise. For new customers trying to purchase any products, I recommend do not purchase from the insta 360 official site. Go through Amazon. They will charge you a return shipping fee even if box is unopened vs amazon is free. Never had such a headache with a customer support and a repair warranty company until I dealt with Insta360. For all the money we paid, they should have to fix this to maintain customer satisfaction. Stop being cheap when we spend thousands on their products. Never shop directly with the brands, go through the platforms so they don’t ever mess around with their words and play with customers emotions.

neutralinsta360 “Insta360 GO Ultra first week impressions with a few photos I shot”I picked up the Insta360 GO Ultra during Black Friday as a small camera for POV shots or moments where I don’t feel like pulling out my main camera. I wasn’t expecting it to replace anything, just something light that fills the gaps when I’m out shooting. After using it for a few days, here are my early GO Ultra impressions: * The image quality feels pretty similar to what you’d get from a good smartphone. Totally fine for casual shooting, and honestly pretty fun to use. * A few people even stopped me because they were curious what this tiny camera was. * The linear photo mode is surprisingly useful. The photos don’t distort as much as I expected from a camera this wide. * For quick POV or street moments, it’s way easier than pulling out a full camera. I’ve been an Insta360 X3 user for a while and upgraded to the X5 this Black Friday too. The GO Ultra feels different in a good way. The editing workflow in the Insta360 app feels slightly improved, but the GO Ultra footage is definitely more fragmented compared to 360 clips. Still figuring out the best way to manage all the little videos and photos. Still learning the camera, but it’s been a fun addition to my kit.

neutralinsta360 “X5 vs Max 2 vs Osmo 360 - my take having used all 3”There's probably not a huge number of people who've tested all 3 of these thoroughly. So here's my take Video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS9KVFft4DM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS9KVFft4DM) Summary: **DJI Osmo:** \- In most cases the best looking video. Retains most details but can sometimes look over sharpened. Works well in low light for a 360 camera. 8K 50fps is a good USP but will drain the battery fairly quick. \- Didn't encounter fogging but I tend to shoot in bursts of 1-2 minutes max \- Lack of removable lenses is a drawback and despite it's light weight and small size I would be hesitant to use in for action shots because of this. \- Great having internal memory \- Software more basic than insta360's but the app is fairly decent and probably easier to learn. \- Best option for vlogging/travel/shooting 360 VR videos. **Insta360 X5** **-** Video still competes with other cameras, particularly if "adaptivetone" is turned on but can sometimes look oversaturated. Best option to use at night/ low light. \- Best ecosystem for software and accessories. Company really innovates in the 360 space. \- Removable lenses are good but the process is not as simple as it could be imo. \- If you want to get the kind of unique shots that are all over instagram/tiktok then this is still the best choice. Also a good choice for action shots. The best option for hyperlapse and "no editing" shooting **Max 2** **-** Claims to have "true" 8K as the pixels it counts are not wasted or used in overlapping. Technically true and the video looks great in daylight. Best looking colour tech out of the 3. Completely useless in low light \- Twist and replace user replaceable lenses probably the best innovation here. Very easy and makes the Max 2 the best option for action shots. \- Internal GPS and 6 microphones unique to this camera \- Software still lags behind the others. Really need Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve with the Reframe plugin. The free desktop software is awful and the App is basic compared to the others.

neutralinsta360 “Beginner confused between Insta360 GO 3S vs X3 (baby videos + bike rides) + editing doubts”Help me guys, I’m planning to buy my first action camera mainly to record videos of my 1-year-old baby (indoor + daily moments), and sometimes use it on my cruiser bike rides. I’ve shortlisted two options: Insta360 GO 3S (₹36k–40k) Insta360 X3 (₹25k–30k) I’ve never used an action camera before, so I’m a bit confused. From reddit what I understood, GO 3S is a very small, lightweight camera (almost thumb size) and shoots good 4K videos, which seems perfect for daily family use and easy handling . It also has magnetic mounting, so I can just clip it and record hands-free, which sounds useful for baby moments. On the other hand, X3 is a 360 camera, so it records everything around you and you can adjust angles later. It has more creative options and better battery for longer shoots . My main use: Baby videos (daily life, indoor moments) Occasionally bike rides Beginner level (no pro editing skills) Also one big doubt: Some people told me I need a powerful laptop to edit Insta360 videos. Is that true? So now I’m confused: Should I go for GO 3S (simple + baby friendly)? Or X3 (more features but maybe overkill)? Or is there any better option from DJI in ₹30–40k range? Would really appreciate advice from people who actually used these. Thanks! 🙌

neutralinsta360 “Which is a better deal? X5 vs X4 Air”Hey Insta360 fam👋 I'm trying to pick between two options: X5 starter kit with 256gb sdcard for $469 or X4 Air starter kit with 256gb sdcard for $359? It's a tough choice because they both seem like great value for the money. The X5 is definitely has an edge with that pure video mode for night time videos or is the X4 Air a good value at its lower price point? I've been looking at all the specs, and honestly, I'm still torn. Is it worth paying $110 more for X5? Any tips or insights on which one to go for?
