I still think my Insta360 x5 is a better overall camera, but the Max 2 has three big advantages: - sound - out of the camera, for motorcycling, the sound is waaaaay better. - editing - the GoPro Quik app is simpler and faster - GoPro Cloud - infinitely better than Insta360's offering

I used mine, along with my 15 Pro Max, to film all the video I took at CES. It performed beautifully (search “Notnerd” on social media to see the results). I used the Insta360 app about 95% of the time and the built in camera the rest of the time.

DJI Osmo Action is solid if you want good stabilization. Insta360 if you're into the 360 footage thing

I travel with three sticks - regular, tripod / selfie stick combo, and an extended selfie stick. I picked up some [D-Rings](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QTWDHB8?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) and [wrist straps](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M9ZJMM6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) so there is less chance of dropping the sticks from a balcony. They screw on and off easily. I have two batteries and a multi-battery charger. A six port USB charger is also in the kit with various cables and chargers. You should also look for chargers for European voltages, sorry can't help with that stuff. Get plenty of SD cards. An insta360 Quick Reader is also in the kit. Usage - I try to take HDR photos of the rooms, cruise ship cabins, cruise ships for virtual tour stuff. The selfie stick / tripod combo is nice to have at meals. Stick it in the center of the table and take a few photos. I mount the selfie stick on the tripod combo to get the camera to eye level for the HDR photos for virtual tours. The camera is controlled from my phone out of camera view. I take stills and videos with the extended stick extended over the balcony at hotels and on cruise ships. The wrist strap helps as the stick and camera get heavy. Also for drone like stuff over the edge of the ship and on upper decks. Don't forget your phone has a camera. Sometimes it is the best camera for the moment.
