I know the company has people officially here on reddit reading these threads. I bought my Luna Ultra the day B&H dropped it. So far it is a HOME RUN. Highly recommend it for the image it creates. HOWEVER I cannot really recommend them as a "professional" alternative to anything. *And for the "irrational" fans that defend a brand like it is your family member? I own every consumer camera that this company has on the market right now. I use them. I enjoy them, but I am also pragmatic and can hold opposing views on things.* **You are NOT winning professionals the way you are doing it.** *Forcing us to activate cameras in order to use them?* Show me a Sony or Canon camera that does this. Do it... Right now. Oh, you can't? That's because professionals want to OWN their products. Now you can say that you do this to ensure that we all get the firmware installed and the camera patched, but that is largely a GARBAGE answer. Truth be told, you could release cameras with basic firmware like PROFESSIONAL camera manufacturers do. Then you could lock features behind a wall and tell them they do not get these without updating firmware. *"Hiding" LUTS in your studio? Nope. Stop that.* Now this one I probably get some pushback for. YES, the LUT is available on the website as a download, but it is VERY hard to find. I went looking for it and then went to Grok AI which then proceeded to search over TEN pages on the site before it finally found it. But from the site to the common person without time to do this, it pushes you to get their desktop software. And that software is garbage. It is a MESS. Even on a fully loaded "top of the line" Mac Studio with an M4 Ultra processor it maxes out and makes the system unusable while it is processing files. Professionals do not want this. They want to get their footage, throw it into the editor they use, and just USE IT. It is the same way you cannot just import an X series cameras 360 footage into Final Cut Pro, or how you cannot get fully stereoscopic RAW files from the cameras. **So Insta360, please reconsider things if you want professionals to love you**.

I did buy a osmo pocket 3 which I had for 11 months and only used it around 5 times before the internal battery got faulty. I genuinely loved the pocket 3 it's just beautiful but I don't think DJI test their products to improve problems they just want to make money quick! So I returned it and they couldn't fix it and I got a refund. I want something small and portable so vlog for travelling, to show food, people I interact with etc. I'm down to 3 options. GoPro hero 13, inst360 ace pro 2, and insta360 go ultra. Unfortunately I have been to a few places to see the camera but they don't let you test them so I don't know what it's like other than watch a lot of unpaid/ honest reviews on all of them. Can anyone advise what do you think I should go with? I even asked chatgpt but it gave a very vague answer. I wish all these 3 were combined. I would like the internal hardware from GoPro 13, the design from go ultra and the specs from ace pro 2. Someone help!

Help me guys, I’m planning to buy my first action camera mainly to record videos of my 1-year-old baby (indoor + daily moments), and sometimes use it on my cruiser bike rides. I’ve shortlisted two options: Insta360 GO 3S (₹36k–40k) Insta360 X3 (₹25k–30k) I’ve never used an action camera before, so I’m a bit confused. From reddit what I understood, GO 3S is a very small, lightweight camera (almost thumb size) and shoots good 4K videos, which seems perfect for daily family use and easy handling . It also has magnetic mounting, so I can just clip it and record hands-free, which sounds useful for baby moments. On the other hand, X3 is a 360 camera, so it records everything around you and you can adjust angles later. It has more creative options and better battery for longer shoots . My main use: Baby videos (daily life, indoor moments) Occasionally bike rides Beginner level (no pro editing skills) Also one big doubt: Some people told me I need a powerful laptop to edit Insta360 videos. Is that true? So now I’m confused: Should I go for GO 3S (simple + baby friendly)? Or X3 (more features but maybe overkill)? Or is there any better option from DJI in ₹30–40k range? I think honestly it is just a very Chinese mindset. Now I will be called racist but have been married to my wife who is from the Philippines for 22 years. Let me explain by pointing out that in Asia, gamification is sort of just the way things are done. You remember Temu? You ever have the misfortune to want to use Ali Express? BOTH of those apps are a hot mess of popup offers, little things to try and gauge attention. And the Insta360 app is just this. It is actually a GREAT and STABLE and FAST app on iPhone. It holds a 4.5 star rating on the App Store, but the minute you go into it to say, offload a file to the phone? You are hit with a mess of popup adds, offers for a $5 certificate to do a survey. Offers for their cloud service. If you are a PROFESSIONAL, you are not sitting there doing offers for a $5 gift certificate, and you really don't care about cloud storage.
