neutralcameras “I don't know what vlogging camera to buy”I did buy a osmo pocket 3 which I had for 11 months and only used it around 5 times before the internal battery got faulty. I genuinely loved the pocket 3 it's just beautiful but I don't think DJI test their products to improve problems they just want to make money quick! So I returned it and they couldn't fix it and I got a refund. I want something small and portable so vlog for travelling, to show food, people I interact with etc. I'm down to 3 options. GoPro hero 13, inst360 ace pro 2, and insta360 go ultra. Unfortunately I have been to a few places to see the camera but they don't let you test them so I don't know what it's like other than watch a lot of unpaid/ honest reviews on all of them. Can anyone advise what do you think I should go with? I even asked chatgpt but it gave a very vague answer. I wish all these 3 were combined. I would like the internal hardware from GoPro 13, the design from go ultra and the specs from ace pro 2. Someone help!

positivegopro “Mission 1 pro grip and H13B footage”I will be the first to admit that I thought the pre order grip was going to be a cheap little toss in. What a solid, well thought out little piece of gear! If I had thoughts or advice for the team, it would be to release a power version of the grip that doubles as a dual battery (or single if its a space thing) holder / charger or just a battery IN the grip that also would connect magnetically to the camera door giving the user another reason to put the camera in the grip for use. It took me til the wee hours setting it up and was unable to bring it on my skydive adventure so please enjoy some hero 13 footage while I study up on how to use this new beast of a cam. I look silly forward to creating with the new Mission 1 Pro. Hope you all are out doing epic stuff and creating epic memories with your cams.

neutralgopro “Anything to avoid the dorky head strap”Let me preface this by saying, yes I know the head strap would work just as good as this, and a lot simpler but I can’t bring myself to use it. I’m using this set up to record my USPSA matches Camera- Go Pro Hero 13 with ultra wide lens Mount- Action Hat DIY Mount. Removed the metal plate from the foam so it’s not as bulky and I don’t need it to float. Hat- Otto 141. Old hat that I had and the patch was falling off. Removed the patch. Cut the brim so you can’t see it in the camera. Spray painted it because I think it looks cool. Optional- I added 2.5oz of counterweightj to the back strap using tire balancing weights and secured it using heal shrink. Didn’t absolutely need to do this but I’ll be running around and wanted the hat as secure as possible. It does help balance the weight to the camera up front.

In the end, it came down to the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro and the GoPro Hero 13. At the very last moment, I decided to go with the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro since most of the reviews and comments I found online seemed to favor it. However, after joining this subreddit, I’ve noticed quite a few people saying it’s actually *worse* than the GoPro - and that a lot of the hype around it comes from DJI paying influencers for positive reviews. So I’d really like to hear your **honest opinions** on the comparison between the two. For context, I’ve had the Action 5 Pro for about two days now and so far I’m happy with it, except for two things: * The case is really tight - it’s hard to get the camera out. * The magnetic mount feels a bit off-center and doesn’t align perfectly. Curious to hear your experiences and thoughts!

Keep the Hero line and make it physically smaller in size and lighter in weight. (think Hero 7, Mini, or even Session sizes). The Hero 13 was already getting chunky for an action cam. They would also keep the small(ish) sensor size and expand on low-light with better processing power because the larger sensor sizes come with their own set of issues for an action camera. 2. Expand on the Mission line only as the Prosumer option where a chunky camera isn't such a big deal and peak image quality is a worthwhile tradeoff. I'd like some official clarity on whether or not the Hero line is being replaced with the Mission line. I fear GoPro is blowing it and taking even more of the "Action" out of the action-camera.
