neutralgopro “The GP2 Processor is Holding GoPro Back”Gives me flashbacks to trying to use the Hero 9 with GP1.. the interface/touchscreen was so unstable and laggy. I don't think they ever fully fixed it either, though some firmware did help, the answer was basically "Just get a Hero 10 with GP2" which was a massive difference and way more stable. I lost a lot of faith in GoPro with that though 😅 the fact they shipped it in that state is terrible. I can comment on the Action 4 having pretty crazy battery life too, I've done a lot of timelapses where they can go 18-20 hours on 1 battery so the idle power draw must be really good. I've done full days of hiking + socialising on one battery too. That said, I don't have any blind brand loyalty, if GoPro manage a leap forward in low-light (and there's no glaring issues) I'd happily switch to whichever company is offering the best, I'm just a bit more weary after being burnt once before 👍

neutralscuba “Underwater camera”Hey everyone! I was just gifted the DJI Osmo Action 5, which I plan to use mainly for diving. I’m planning to buy the waterproof case for it, but I’d rather use a longer extension rod instead of the buoyant handle. Does anyone know if the waterproof case is compatible with the extension rod? Also, if anyone has experience with other action cameras for diving, I’m open to recommendations. My research so far suggests DJI is great underwater, but I could still switch to a GoPro or Insta360 if there’s a better option. For context, I’m currently using a GoPro Hero 3 from around 2017, so I’m definitely excited for a dive camera upgrade 😅

This is my first-ever action camera, so I'm pretty excited! I got the Point & Shoot Grip with it. GoPro is offering a 50% discount on the Quik Premium subscription. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth subscribing as a new user. Is Quik Premium worth paying for, or do most people use other editing apps instead? If you subscribe to Quik, what features make it worthwhile for you? I'd love to hear your experiences and recommendations. Thanks!
