    garmin “VO2Max Crash”
The VO2 Max calculator on a Garmin is just a sort of chart of pace vs heart rate and nothing else. It’s not a real measure of your VO2 Max. Clearly since it dropped since you added back your easy runs that is the reason it has changed. You increased the volume of running at slower paces your watch is using to estimate so it’s lowering it (at least that is my guess) My VO2 max went up to 54 two months ago and has slid back down to 51 despite me being more fit. I run 150 miles a month and have made significant gains in my threshold pace. When my V02 was “54” My watch estimated my threshold at 8:05/mile Now that it’s “51” it estimates a 7:20 threshold. If I’ve maintained my same volume but improved my threshold pace how can my VO2 have dropped? It’s just an estimate and I don’t really pay attention to it other than to see what it says. I don’t base anything off of it or consider either of those to be my threshold or my VO2 Back to you: Are you seeing a change in performance? Do you feel slower at the 5k distance? Trust your body and use the watch as a guide

    smartwatches “I'd like some advice.”
Hi everyone, I need some advice choosing a smartwatch. Current device: Redmi Watch 5 Phone: Oppo Reno 12 5G Main use: \- Running and workouts \- I care a lot about heart rate accuracy (my current watch is inaccurate during runs) \- General health tracking (sleep, stress, etc.) What I’m looking for: \- Accurate sensors (especially heart rate) \- Good health tracking \- Decent battery life \- Good compatibility with Android (Oppo) Options I’m considering: \- Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro \- Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 (40mm) \- Oppo Watch 5 Questions: 1. Which one has the most accurate heart rate tracking? 2. Is Galaxy Watch 7 battery really that bad? 3. Is Huawei still good without Google services? Thanks in advance!

garmin “Got myself a steal deal”
Hi I am thinking of getting a Garmin. But there is only one service centre and that too in Delhi. I talked there and the guy said I would have to bring the watch in person to get it repaired or for warranty and not courier. Any views about the feedback of after sales service? I have heard some cases on reddit where people have gone through a lot of hassle for the service. Thanks.

smartwatches “Best budget smart watch/smart band for phone-free runs? (Student seeking music storage)”
Hi, I need a recommendation for an affordable smartwatch or smart band. I'd want one that can connect to my headphone so I can leave my phone at home during runs. If that's not possible, I just need a solid tracker for running, swimming, and badminton. Right now I know the Amazfit Bip 6, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 series, the Redmi Watch 5, and the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro. I’ve heard the Huawei is great, but it’s a little over my budget since I’m still a student. What do you guys think about these? Do you have any other suggestions? Please help me out! 😭

smartwatch “Garmin 55(160€) vs redmi watch 5 (80€) vs huawai watch fit 4 (120€)”
Thank you very much! But those already go well beyond the amount I wanted to spend. If I give up on tracking/recording surfing, which one would you recommend up to €100? I have a few in mind, such as the Redmi Watch 5 and the Amazfit Bip 6.
