garmin “Instinct 3 > Fenix *”

I have the Instinct 4 45mm Tactical Solar and Fenix 8 47mm. After using both, I feel like the I3 with the Gen 4 sensor is working better for me to the point. I might sell my Fenix. Some thoughts... F8: Love the smart watch features, touch screen, and colors - also looks beautiful! Hate the weight and the Gen 5 doesn't track my HR well during workouts or HRV during sleep, seemingly. My overnight data is always lower and I think the 47mm is still just too big for my wrist. The titanium scratches way too easily. I feel like I would miss the Gen 5 and extra data interpretation, but I guess the ECG, skin temp, and sleep alignment aren't doing much for me. I do love the glances and seeing the colored charts are helpful when I don't want to play on my phone. I3: Love everything...no cons other than hypothetical advantages of the Gen 5 sensor. Fits great, is pretty reliable for sleep and sleep data. Matches how I feel more. Worried the F8 will be supported longer than I3. I have a Garmin chest strap when needed. It doesn't look as nice at work and I give up smart watch features. Solar works well for me for the always on - I am not in the sun enough for the charging. There is always the next best thing, but as a workhorse, the I3 is probably the best fit for me, specifically the 45mm Tactical. I am not a huge wear two device person, so the CIRQA will likely not be for me, and I guess I am at the point of either rotating devices like F8 to work and I3 in evenings. I probably should've got the 43mm F8. I guess my dream watch is a 45mm Instinct with a Gen 5...maybe even the AMOLED. YMMV, but the Gen 4 sensor is a great fit for me.

digitalminimalism “Watch that is only for fitness tracking?”

Try a Hybrid Smartwatch from Garmin or Withings. Hybrids have an analog face but it bluetooths to an app for fitness tracking. I had a Fossil Hybrid and I loved that thing to pieces.
