My inspire 2 is the best Fitbit I’ve had with which I’ve swam a few times and it has best water-lock feature I’ve personally experienced. You can press both sides any time (even and especially useful AFTER starting… [truncated] …”

“My Fitbit Inspire 3 reports very inaccurate sleep data, including late sleep onset and almost no deep sleep. I've tried resetting it, cleaning the sensors, and using a tighter band, but nothing helped. Has anyone else experienced this, or is Fitbit sleep tracking unreliable now? I ordered a Fitbit Air, but it won’”

    fitbit “Sleep tracker”
I know, I know, lots of complaining about the app change. I'm here for advice though. I've been using an inspire 3 to track sleep for a long time now. Just sleep, not fitness or anything else. I have really severe bouts of insomnia and having the data has helped me a lot. I've come to rely on it, actually. Since the app change, I've noticed the data is, for some reason, super inaccurate. Like it's trying to guess when my sleep stages should occur rather than actually measuring much of anything. I know I can't change the sensitivity anymore (had it set to sensitive), but I'm wide awake and it says I'm in deep sleep. I'll get up and walk around and it logs that as awake, but has me immediately back into deep sleep as soon as the movement stops. It's like my heart rate doesn't mean anything anymore. It doesn't register my usual 3-5am awakening. It's messing with me not having the same kind of data I was getting before. What do I use for sleep now? I felt like it was pretty dang accurate before. I hate that I've come to rely on the gadget this way, but I really need the sleep to function and it's really difficult for me right now. If you have also used a Fitbit inspire 3 for sleep specifically, do you know of anything comparable to what it was before the change? Kind of desperate.

frugal “Inexpensive smart watches for fitness”
I exercise 5 hrs a day ( crossfit, muay thai, afrojazz dance, latin dance, powerlifting, body building, Tri Club - endless km & laps) I've always just gotten the cheapest fitbit (Inspire 3 )possible. For steps, km, sleep, heart rate. And i'm in the pool a couple of hours a day. My life is physically messy, things break so i need simple & easily replaced. Replaced it 3 times, twice under warranty (very easy). So many ppl @ the gym have fancy expensive complicated watches but they aren't the fittest or most dedicated. Watches don't make a person fit or unfit. Just gotta get off your a## for that.

fitbit “Need a recommendation for another tracking app”
I’ve used Fitbit for years and I absolutely hate the new Google changeover. It isnt an improvement, and they only imported the last two years of data and I had at least six years on FitBit. I like the FitBit watch it’s lightweight and non-intrusive, but I am completely done with using the app. will my Fitbit Inspire work with another app? Or do I need to swap to a different brand. I’m not interested in a smart watch, just want to track activity. Does anyone have recommendations? Or advice ? Thanks so much

fitbit “Fitbit alternative recommendations come 2/26 (Full Google switchover).”
As I posted in [another thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/fitbit/comments/1obt1g6/google_retiring_all_fitbit_accounts_226_warning/), and I'm sure many of you are aware, Google is retiring all Fitbit accounts on 2/26 and forcing the move to only Google Accounts. I don't want to get into the details here (use other thread), but some people simply refuse to, or cannot switch over to Google accounts for some reason. In my case, my daughter's Inspire 3, works fine with a FitBit account, but since she uses a "supervised" Google account she will be unable to login to Fitbit once she is forced to use that account (again, see other thread and discuss issues with Google/Fitbit accounts elsewhere). ***The point of this thread is to discuss alternatives for anyone looking to switch away from Fitbit, for whatever reasons they see fit.*** Fitbit has a range of models, and there are many watches out there from cheap-o to expensive. As for the more expensive lines, there are of course Apple watches (primarily for iPhone users), and Pixel watches (primarily for Android users). Of course the Pixel line is going to require Google accounts as well. Hopefully, we can keep a small list of here of some of the more attractive options. Personally, I am looking for my daughter something similar in cost and functionality to the Inspire 3. These are requirements: ***- No reliance on Google Account*** \- Basic watch features - alarms, etc. \- Basic fitness features: track movement, motivation reminders, etc. \- Phone notifications: get android notifications on the watch. (BONUS, ability to integrate with messaging apps to reply). \- BONUS: Customizations, widgets. She's a 13 year old girl and like to be able to do different watch faces, etc. Also being able to find color bands to change out a plus. If anyone has any recommendations, it is much appreciated. Feel free to also post your own requests for others to help with!

fitbit “Would a 6 month trial of Fitbit Premium carry over to Google Health?”
So, my Pixel 9a phone came with a 6-month free trial of Fitbit Premium. I never activated it. It still shows up in my Fitbit app as an upgrade option. I pre-ordered a Fitbit Air today. (Lavender) Google Store was offering $25 trade-in credit on my seldom-used Fitbit Inspire 3 that I bought for sleep tracking, but found uncomfortable to wear on my wrist at night. Plus there's the $35 Google Store credit towards an additional band later. For $74.99, I'm game to try out the Air! I normally wear a Garmin watch daily for my fitness/steps/hydration tracking, but have been looking for something that could give me passive activity tracking during the day and quality sleep tracking at night, and this *might* be that product. I can't deal with wearing a watch on my wrist at night. If I activate the Fitbit Premium trial soon, will the 6-months-free get transferred over to the Google Health app when that goes live?
