The Sony XM headphones were honestly the best ones I have had. I got mine about 5 years ago (don't remember if they were the xm5 or a different one though) and they worked through pretty much anything. I've dropped them in water, accidentally left them in when I took a shower, dropped them all over the place and they just kept working. Only reason I stopped using them was because the batteries had degraded so much that I got many an hour or two out of them now. I replaced them with skull candy ones that I saw a couple of recommendations for and they are already broken. One doesn't even work unless I hold it a specific way and the battery life is already degrading and it hasn't even been 6 months yet. They also keep disconnecting and needing to be paired again over and over

Smokin' buds by skullcandy. Lasted through college and several jobs before I upgraded to some ANC galaxy buds, but- should I need? I can still get those skullcandy out and expect hella quality

earbuds “REVIEW Realme Air 8”

Well, first before making this review i want to clarify that the best buds i used before this ones are the Air 7, Redmi Buds 5 pro, Freebuds 3 pro, Skullcandy Dime 3 and Melobuds Pro and N70. Now lest go to the review I am going to do this in a 5 out of 5 format, 5 = Best 0 = Worst PRICE (4) First, here in México the buds are 800 pesos, more like 40 Dollar price tag, so i think for all these ones have i could give them a solid 4 out of 5, i only give them a 4 because there are a lot of cheaper earbuds who can do the same things (maybe, and most probably, worst) but at a cheaper price, like the Melobuds Pro. DESIGN (5) These, from what i think, are the best and most comfortable earbuds for, these are firm to the ear, they don't slip out even when making exercise, and are super comfortable, they are the most comfortable of my earbuds whitout a doubt, even more than the Dimes or the Redmi. So obviously 5 out of 5. ANC and TRANSPARENCY (4.5) These are little weird, the block well the louder noises like another person movies or videos, but the silent noises of a fan no so well, even saying this i think this a lot better than the Redmi Buds pro 5 i had and a also better than my Freebuds pro 3. Why? Because they do EVERYTHING better than those 2. Even my complain about the block of the white noises is minor, they do a great job at everything, just no perfect, ah and yeah the transparency mode is a little bit "metallic" but still good so 4.5 out of 5 SOUND (4.5) SOUND IS SUBJECTIVE, but i think this one are one of the best listening buds i ever had, these are at the same level as Freebuds pro 3 if not better, and those have and a amazing sound Great higs Great mids Great lows These are great, just not out of the box, these need a little bit of tuning, but after that, this are good, only thing i good to say is, i use my eq to make them sound more fun, but they also have great eq performance even for the people who don't like much what i like. For me 4.5 out of 5 APP (4) Better than redmi, and i am saying this whit a Xiaomi 14 i hand, 4 out of 5, only because they don't have some things that the Air 7 pro had and also because they don't have a find your earbuds feature. AND THATS IT, I hope you people liked it, i am going to respond questions ;). OVR: 4.4 out of 5

headphoneadvice “Looking for new wired earbuds - everyday use”

My current earbuds (wired Skullcandy Jibs that I've had for a few years now) are on their last legs and I want to see about getting some replacements that aren't 'just grab the cheapest wired earbuds at the store'. I loved the Smokin' Buds 2 back in the day but sadly they don't make wired versions anymore, and I really don't want wireless. I listen to a lot of music throughout the day, walking, commuting, and at home, so my cords see a fair bit of wear, and I like silicone tips for both comfort and noise isolation. I prefer a little more bass but I'm also not super picky, at this point I mostly just want both sides of my earbuds to work evenly. I listen to a mix of genres, but rock is the most predominant one for me, along with a bit of softer alt stuff and some musicals too. I'm in Canada, my budget is ideally 100$CAD or less, and I know I'll probably have to buy online so that's fine. I know next to nothing about audio equipment, so any help is greatly appreciated! Edit: I'd also like a mic/control button in the cord for making calls and talking with friends online, and for being able to pause music without needing to take my gloves off when it's cold outside

earbuds “Looking for easy pocket carry cases.”

I have two sets of cheap daily earbuds. JBL tune beam, and skull candy dime 2. I like the sound and noise canceling of the JBL but the case is odd shaped and doesn't fit well in my pocket. The Dime case is crazy small fits everywhere but they sound like crap and have no battery life. Any cheap options for a daily driver that has ok sound and a small pocket friendly case?
