CX Plus True Wireless

Hello everyone, My dear, long-serving Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless earbuds are slowly coming to the end of their life after several years of use, so I’m looking for a replacement. Sound quality is important to me, but I’m also looking for something durable that won’t break after a year, reasonably compact rather than huge or bulky, and comfortable enough for regular use. Does anyone have recommendations for true wireless earbuds that would be a good upgrade or replacement? I am in Europe, and my budget is hard-capped at 200€, although I would prefer something cheaper. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I’m a bit unsure what to do about my earbuds. I received the Sony WF-1000XM5 as a Christmas gift, but I’m not completely sold on them. The sound quality is good, but the ANC feels noticeably weak, the foam tips are uncomfortable and painful to insert, and I don’t feel like they seal properly. I’m not an audiophile, but care about good sound quality. For reference, I used the Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless for about four years until a few days ago, when the right earbud suddenly stopped working. I considered the Momentum True Wireless 4, but I keep seeing people having the same issue with the new models, and Sennheiser doesn’t offer any solution once the warranty expires, not even paid repairs. I don’t want to invest in expensive earbuds that can’t be repaired. That said, I loved their sound quality and thought the ANC was amazing. I’ve read that the Technics’ sound quality is on par with the Momentums, but I’m unsure about the ANC. With the XM5s, for example, walking outdoors in windy conditions is unbearable, as you can still hear the wind even with the volume all the way up. Meanwhile, with the CX Plus ANC on, wind noise was nonexistent. I’ve tried both ANC and “off” modes on the XM5s, but neither comes close to the Sennheiser’s performance. I would say that sound quality matters more to me than ANC, but I still want to listen without distractions. I’ve also read that the ANC on the Technics is worse than the Sony’s, which makes me question whether the sound improvement alone would be worth it, especially since I already like the XM5’s sound. Should I try the Technics, or stick with the XM5s and replace the foam tips with silicone ones? I’m not sure how much that would affect the ANC, but it might be the simplest solution. Alternatively, is there another earbud option I might be overlooking?

I have the sennheiser mtw4 and the pro4 plus. I have decided to stick around the $100 mark going forward. These two are a very different sound profile, so hard to compare which is "better", but the lower cost buds would have been top tier just a few years ago and they keep getting better. If these break or I lose them, I won't be so upset.
