Galaxy Buds FE

I’m trying to upgrade my earbuds, but I have really small ears and most earbuds just don’t fit comfortably or stay in place. There are so many options out there, and every review seems to recommend something different. What I really want is a pair that fits securely, sounds great, and doesn’t hurt or fall out after a while. Battery life and call quality matter too, since I use them for work calls and daily walks. Some options I’ve seen mentioned are: * Sony WF-1000XM5 (with smaller tips) * Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II * Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro Has anyone with small ears tried these or have other recommendations?

Sup guys, i’ve got a question. I’m currently using Samsung Galaxy Buds FE for my daily and for exercise since 8 months, i’m very happy with them ngl. But it’s almost my birthday and i would like to buy another earbuds. I was thinking on buying the Sony WF-1000Xm5, i guess it’s indeed a huuuuge change. The question here is, should i buy the Xm5?, or there is any other option that is better than Sony? (keeping the same price range, or lower if possible).

I know this is kind of a dumb move asking this question in an iem sub but i just want a genuine and unbiased (as much as possible) answer. I really cant say that i am an audiophile but of course i want to experience high quality music. What i have right now is a galaxy buds fe and i got this a year ago and what i can say about this is that for its price, the quality really is not that good, or maybe im getting used to it and i want a different one now. I liked soundcore earbuds because most of the ones that i had had good bass so you can say im a basshead. Now my question is should i buy an iem and what would you suggest with a budget of 40 usd (2500 Philippine pesos)? Thank you

I have been on a YEARS long search for wireless earbuds that don't hurt my ears. The last time I had ANY earbuds that didn't hurt was when I had a cheapo pair of wired Panasonic buds. Since then, it's been nothing but pain, irritation, and buds falling out. Currently, I have the Galaxy Buds FE with SpinFit tips. They have NEVER felt good, maintained noise cancellation, or stayed put. After an eternity of lurking here, googling, and seeking guidance from GPT, I settled on 3 contenders which were <$100 and bought all 3 on Black Friday. These were: 1. AVIOT TE-Q3 2. JBL Tune Flex 2 3. Back Bay Tempo 30 **AVIOT TE-Q3** These came with 4 tip sizes and the ones that came already installed on the buds had a slight defect. I found the shape of these to be awkward and could never get them to sit quite right in my ears. The tip material cause almost immediate "itch" sensation in my ears. The smallest tips were shallow in depth and seemed to sit well, but it wasn't enough to negate the discomfort of the material and odd shape of the rest of the bud. **JBL TUNE FLEX 2** These were a bit of a wild card purchase. I didn't see them mentioned here or in my searches, except when I included "oval" in my Amazon search. These came with pre-installed "open-ear tips" and then 2 sizes of "sealed-ear tips". The instructions mention that you need to use the app to toggle between the open-ear and sealed-ear settings to match the tips. Wearing them with the open-ear tips was immediately painful to my tragus. When I replaced them with the Small sealed-ear tips, I was surprised what a difference it made, but after several minutes, I could feel the beginnings of pain again. These buds are made of a hard plastic. I think that if they'd been made of a dense silicone type material, they could have been a contender. I chewed and shook my head quite a bit with no apparent disruption to the buds placement. **BACK BAY TEMPO 30** This was a local brand I was happy to stumble upon in my research. These came with **6** silicone tips! 3 were shallow and 3 were normal depth. Even with the pre-installed tips (I think Medium, normal depth), these buds felt AMAZING. I then tried with the small shallow tips and they felt like they were built for my ears. Head shaking and chewing didn't seem to back them out either (but please read on). These were the only ones that brought me to the point to of taking the next step and pair them with my phone. These TWS buds have ENC, not ANC. They have a feature which allows you to put them into "Bass Mode" with 3 taps. Pairing was very simple. I consider myself an audiophile-lite. Music speaks to my soul and I appreciate clear tones and good bass. Bass is definitely mid-range when not in "Bass Mode", but is significantly better with the feature enabled. HOWEVER, even though I didn't FEEL them backing out over time, I could tell they were by the sound quality. I also started to feel that slight itch feeling in my left ear after 20-30 min. Because the comfort is worlds better than I've managed to find in years, I plan to play around with various tip material/sizes to see if I can mitigate the backing out issue. But I am at least relieved to find a pair that don't hurt. I hope this helps SOMEONE out there in my same predicament.

Pardon me for the contrary viewpoint but, after reading your use cases, I feel a total wireless solution is a better match for you. TWS have noise cancellation. This is advantageous for when you are in a public space. To compensate in place of ANC with wired IEM you would need a good seal as well as constant energetic music. Sophisticated IEM also tend towards larger shells which would be an encumbrance while moving. To go with ANC, TWS have microphones, which satisfies your request for calls and gaming. I listened to your sample track with my different IEM and it was enjoyable with each one. Different tunings brought out different instruments like the kick of the bass, and the highs around 1:10. I don’t know your particular preference but this song could be fun with different equalizer settings. You mentioned your source is a Galaxy phone. I can’t locate the post but I read in this sub positive feedback about the Galaxy buds and Samsung’s audio pedigree. Those have an app for EQ and should fit the device ecosystem.
