**Edit on February 28th 2026** **Updated to the latest firmware on 26th, and I haven't faced any issues. All good. I have come to the conclusion that it was a hardware defect.** **Edit on February 9th 2026** **Was still facing the rebooting issue so I've had them replaced. Now they are on firmware version 3.0.0 and everything works flawlessly.** **Edit on January 26th 2026** **Received the Firmware Update v3.0.13** **- The anc controls on Android settings are back along with the codec controls. Anc seems a little stronger (white noise for a few seconds is much lower on anc after pausing media)** **- Need to test the random reboots bug and see.** **\*Random reboots bug is still there\*** **Edit on January 17th 2026** **Mailed them a few days ago, told me that they will push a new firmware this week. I'm going to replace it as I still have warranty.** **Edit on January 12th 2026.** **The issue wasn't resolved by just a firmware downgrade. I found out that it only happens if dual device connection is turned on. Turning it off fixes the issue.** The story is real. But i gave all the context to ChatGPT and made it write this. I'm too lazy to write a whole paragraph. I bought the QCY MeloBuds N70 around mid November. Right after setup the QCY app asked me to update the firmware. After updating I started facing issues. The earbuds would randomly reboot and reconnect. Sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after an hour, sometimes not at all. Because it was random, it was very hard to record. Resetting, re pairing, deleting Bluetooth records, reinstalling the app nothing worked. I also lost ANC and transparency controls from Android Bluetooth settings after the update. I contacted QCY support on November 29. After some back and forth, their technical team sent me a dedicated firmware downgrade tool made specifically for the MeloBuds N70. They sent it today, December 18. After downgrading the firmware, all the issues are gone. No random reboots, stable connection, and ANC and transparency controls are back. Did not expect this level of technical support from a budget brand. Credit where it is due.

Badly need to buy a new pair. I was about to buy the Ultra, but heard the call quality of the QCY Pro performs way better in noise reduction, which I also need when I make calls in the office. Is the sound quality comparable to the Ultra? I'm not an audiophile, but I do love music and like earbuds that allow me to hear the bass and drums clearly. I also listen to a lot of podcasts on my commute. I should also mention I have small ears, but maybe buying separate tips would fix any issue. My Skullcandy right now keeps getting loose on my ears after some time which is not ideal when I run. I can get them at around the same price, so which do I go for? I could also throw in a couple more bucks if QCY N70 is a whole lot better than these two. Thanks! Other options at same price point: Baseus Bowie MA10s, Baseus Bass BP1 Pro, realme Buds Air 7

my personal recommendation is CMF buds 2 plus (or non-plus). I've tried Liberty 4 NC and thought they sucked, Earfun Air Pro 4 (and 4 plus) and returned them, as well as QCY melobuds pro, which also sucked. CMF was the only one that was all-round good (except for weak transparency mode).
