(refined with chatgpt) Today, my boAt Airdopes 300 right earbud suddenly burst and started releasing smoke while it was kept normally inside the charging case. It was not even charging at that time. There was a burning smell and a bursting sound as well. Honestly, this is very concerning because such incidents can easily become serious fire or injury hazards. Warranty has ended , so is there any chance I can get a replacement? I have mailed them and posted the issue on twitter.

My concern is that a battery-powered electronic device unexpectedly burst and emitted smoke under normal storage conditions, which I consider a serious safety issue. I was told that I would receive a further update within 24–48 hours, but no meaningful response addressing the safety concerns followed. After further communication, I was informed via email that no further action could be taken because the product is out of warranty. As a result, I have now filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) and submitted all supporting evidence, including photos, videos, emails, invoices, and screenshots of my conversations with the company. For those who have dealt with NCH before: * How long does NCH usually take to get a response from the company? * Were your complaints successfully resolved through NCH? * If NCH mediation was unsuccessful, what was your next step?
