There’s the Sony 1000XM5 They’ve been the most recced by far on reddit and I know it’s a classic pair. I have the budget now so I can actually splurge and see if the hype checks out. But then there’s also the Powerbeats pro 2 Because the thing is I usually prefer bigger earbuds that hook on the outside the ears, like open back ones. So these are a really top contender cos with the Sony ones, I’d just be really worried about them falling out and getting crushed. Because that’s always happened to me, I don’t kniw if I have smaller ear canals or what.

I miss the fit and the way that you could truly shape the sound with the app. And how water-reistant they were (IPX7). They fell in the sink while I was doing dishes and they were fine. Since mine died, I've been on a quest to find replacement earbuds. I started with a pair of earbuds that sounded great. The sound quality quickly became unimportant, however. They were a miserable failure at delivering music to my ears because they just wouldn't stay in. I considered all of the Apple and Beats earbuds, but it doesn't look like they have an EQ on my iPhone 15--just presets. The Jaybird app had spoiled me with its customizable EQ. And I wanted earbuds with ear hooks so that they (at least theoretically) would stay in place. Plus I needed ANC. So yesterday, after considering the [Beats Powerbeats Pro 2](https://www.beatsbydre.com/earbuds/powerbeats-pro-2) (IPX4) and the [Soundcore X20](https://www.soundcore.com/products/a3968-sport-x20-earbuds?variant=43988210385086) (IP68) earbuds, I got the Soundcore. The Soundcore buds have the hookthat I wanted, and at their price, I wasn't going to freak out of the hooks didn't do their jobs. The hooks are way more comfortable than I thought that they would be. The buds stay put and are actually comfortable. The audio quality is very good, and the noise cancellation works extremely well at the places I go. The app allows a lot of customization and has presets, as well. Because I don't need to push them deep into my ear to get them to stay, they're comfortable for a longer time. I'll be fiddling around with diffferent ear tips to figure out what fits and sounds best. I'll keep you posted.

Use case: • Gym lifting 5x/week • Conditioning / running 2x/week • I wear glasses • iPhone user • Sweat a fair bit • Want good sound + stability Considering these right now: • AirPods Pro 3 • AirPods 4 (ANC) • Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 • Beats Powerbeats Fit • Sony WF-1000XM5 • Soundcore Sport X20 Concerns I’ve read about: • AirPods Pro 3 → static / crackling issues • Powerbeats Pro 2 → bulky, glasses interference • XM5 → not very secure for running • Beats Fit → expensive for what they offer • Soundcore → cheaper but unsure about long-term quality Main question: Which one is actually the best real-world option for lifting + some running, not just specs? Would love feedback from people who’ve used these long-term in the gym.

neutralearbuds “BEST ANC EARBUDS?”This summer I am going to be working as a lawn mower/landscaper. Bc of the loud mowers and bumps I was thinking of getting the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2. Though I couldn't find anything about how good the ANC was on them. I have used the Pixel Buds Pro 1 with the 9PXL. The fit better then others I've tried. But when I've mowed with them before the sometime feel like there slowly falling out. Which is y I'm asking how much different the 2nd Gen is. Or are there better ones out there. I need them to not fall out of my ears. And I need them really good noice cancellation. I would consider headphones. But I think the wrap around ears would def work best. Idk. Help Pls
