neutraliems “Am I making a mistake???”I eventually upgraded to my current desktop setup, RME ADI-2 DAC FS pairing with Unique Melody MK II Custom. And i still use 20 - 30 bucks OpenHeart / TRN hot-swappable cable from aliexpress 🤣. As long as you think it’s worth it, it’s worth it. Also end game may or may not exist, but you will for sure side steps a lot 🥲.

neutraliems “At what point is it all diminishing returns?”Just to clarify, I do not own 300 iems haha. I only limit myself to have 5-7 at a time. But for me I am fairly lucky to stay in places where I can try out many iems/headphones along with taking opportunity during business trips to places where there's even more iems! For vocal focused sound, I have a few recommendations: 1. Monarch mk2 (might have treble issue for some, and fit) 2. 64 audio DUO (Super nice vocals and smooth treble) 3. Unique Melody Mext ( Warmish/Analog Vocals, with good instrument separation.

neutraliems “What’s the price range where IEMs hit “peak value”? After what point is spending more basically pointless?”For me, tea pro got me 90% of the way there at around $300. The step up to um mest mk2 at like $800 took me to my end game but maybe only 10% or 20% better than the tea pro. There is definitely diminished returns.
