My first set of IEMs, the Letshuoer S12 Ultra just arrived in the mail. While I‘m not getting a great seal with the stock tips I‘m already blown away. I‘m lacking a fair bit of bass, as they wanna slide out of my ears just a little. I expected that as I‘ve got fairly small ear canals, currently I‘m using the „balanced“ S size. Will do some experimenting with the other tips as well. Seal aside, I am shocked in a positive way. While they obviously don‘t fit like they should yet I am already hearing sounds I never have before. The first song I listened to and one of only five before writing this was the Foofighters‘ Everlong, definitely high on the list of my most played songs. There is a pretty distinct, quite prominent Hi-Hat rhythm mostly on the left ear which I have never heard before throughout most of the song on any of my previous head-/ earphones and which I can now, knowing it is there, just barely make out on my old Sennheiser HD4.40 which seem to have the best soundstage / separation of all my headphones. While I believed the soundstage of those HDs was pretty great and expected IEMs to sound a good deal tighter dimensionally speaking and possibly less detailed, I am shocked by how wide and airy these sound while being able to pinpoint exactly where each instrument is coming from, and once again all of this without a proper seal. Soundstage is one of the factors I find most fascinating about good music so I guess I wont be leaving IEMs anytime soon. I just kinda had to get this off of my mind and post it as a first impression, I may do a more in depth review on these once I‘ve spent a couple weeks listening to them. So to the question of tips, while I will be doing and have already done a fair bit of my own research, if any of you with ears on the smaller side can give me recommendations for tips in size S, possibly with the option for XS, that would be very appreciated. For now I‘d like something that doesn‘t mess with the IEMs tuning too much, I‘m a big rock fan, theres some metal in there, emo / punk, some rap, a bit of EDM, some K-Pop tracks my fiancée wants to show me and since a couple weeks also some jazz. Mostly male vocals which may benefit from a little more grunt / texture down low, but I dont feel like the S12U are lacking there. A Bonus would be if the tips are a little grippier than your regular slippy-ish silicon tips, though I understand going foam would probably mess with the sound my music taste is going for quite a bit. Incase I have the budget, would you guys recommend me ordering a TRN Black Pearl? My HiBy R1 is up to the task of feeding these quite well, usually below 40% max on low gain, but I might want it to go with my iPad or if I want to play around with a proper PEQ. Thanks in advance!

**TLDR:** Daily headphone user upgrading from 2018 Bose QC35 II. Narrowed it down to QC Ultra 2nd Gen (comfort/ANC) vs Px8 (sound/build) vs HD 650 (sound, but unsure on comfort). Leaning Px8 but worried about reliability. Looking for real-world opinions. **Context** I’ve been using Bose QuietComfort 35 II since 2018 and they’ve been great, but I use headphones a lot and want a proper upgrade. I care about comfort (big head, long sessions), ANC, and sound quality. **Use case** * Gym (rehab work, so ANC matters, usually rock and all its sub genres) * Studying/Work (2+ hour sessions) * Music listening (mainly) * Some laptop gaming use At home I use wired **Sennheiser HD 550**, so I do care about sound quality.
