Tea 2 MKII

So after days and days of videos, reviews, chats, research, learning a bit (a lot actually) i went for two IEM’s taking advantage of the 11.11 sale on Ali: - Xenns Mangird Tea Pro - Tangzu Waner SG II Jades I got those 2 one for the best I could afford and the other for beaters and with mic so I could use them at work. I got the Tangzu’s yesterday was a bit disappointed because i felt no bass at all. After a little bit more research i tried bigger tips to get a better seal and wow, it changed a lot! I actually enjoyed them! I haven’t had them for long but felt pretty good… Now, today the Tea Pro’s showed up. Holly molly!! This things are beasts!!! The Bass!!! Went for the same size i used on the waner’s and from first try, “wow” is all I can say. I’ve been hearing my regular music and I am listening to sounds I’ve never heard before! I want to keep trying with some more music but as for now I’m actually amazed!! As for now I am just starting, got this DAC for the iPhone and they sound pretty amazing. The Dunu tips are still sealed, will test them later. Wanted to first thanks this community for everything and also ask for advice, tips, and suggestions of maybe a better DAC? Better tips to take more advantage of my first and humble setup? Any input is really appreciated! Thanks again!

This year I got hooked on that IEM goodness (before this, I owned the Hexa, but it was a bit too bright for me). I started with the Moondrop DUSK and was just floored by how good it sounded. After a while, I got annoyed with the DSP cable and got curious about what else was out there. I've bought: * **Aful Explorer:** Amazing! Mind-blowing. Still can't believe that thing cost me $85. I will never sell it. * **Truthear Pure:** Very pleasant and cohesive, though it has very large nozzles. * **7Hz Zero:2:** Cool stuff for the price. * **Letshuoer S12:** Too bright. It was fun, but I sold it. * **Letshuoer S08:** Cool, I guess. It shines if you EQ the bass to stupid levels. * **Aful Performer 5+2:** Surprisingly smooth considering the amount of treble, but too bright. Selling it. * **Softears Volume:** Shouty as hell. I can understand the hype—incredibly SOLID sound—but I couldn't listen to it. INSTANTLY SOLD. * **Odyssey 2:** A bit shouty. Very interesting bass presentation, but shouty. INSTANTLY SOLD. * **Crinear Daybreak:** Very clean, but shouty; treble is harsh. For this price, it's very compelling, but if it were $20 more, I would instantly sell it. But I love the overall accessories and cable package, so I'm keeping it. * **ThieAudio Hype 2:** Incredibly detailed and smooth treble response, best treble I've heard so far. But at the same time, too aggressive/too much treble. And finally, about a week ago I bought a used Tea Pro. **DAMN.** I just love it! At first, I liked it but wasn't impressed (tried it with a cheap dongle). But then I tried it on the K13 R2R and KA15—and OMG it's amazing (treble presentation gets more controlled, less harsh, and the bass control is nuts). The DUSK is still better in some ways, but as an overall package, the Tea Pros are the best thing I've heard so far. It got me to sell the Hype 2 and Aful Performer 5+2, and I'm considering selling the DUSK. Where do I even go from here? I don't think the Xenns Top Pros are for me; I prefer a warmer, thicker sound. I'm basically resistant to MUD :D. All I just want to say is: I loved the journey so far, it was all worth it to get to this point. I'm reducing my collection and hitting the pause button on IEMs (maybe after trying the upcoming Tea Pro SE?) :)

First off, this is not a post about the sound. It's about marketing and potential mis-information. I own the OG Tea Pros and enjoy them a lot. I have seen several reviews stating one of the pros (and cost increase) of the Tea Pro SE is the metal shell vs. the resin shell of the Tea Pro. When I saw this in several reviews, I was like "WTF!, my Tea Pro has a metal shell!!". I then looked at Linsoul (they own Xenns) and sure enough they list the Tea Pro as having a resin shell and specifically that the Tea Pro SE has a metal shell. This is not accurate. In fact, the OG Tea Pro had gotten a lot of flack when it came out due to condensation issues with the metal build. I tap my Tea Pro with a metal screwdriver and it's definitely metal (seems aluminum, it's not magnetic). I did more research and sure enough I was right, they both have metal shells with Resin faceplates, as I had thought. You can even use AI to ask and they will report the OG has a resin build and the SE has a metal build. When I tell the AI I don't think that's correct, it digs deeper and says I'm right and corrects itself. I am pretty sure this is due to the AI doing a marketing search first, then a deeper search (older reviews, comments, etc) when I challenge it. This may be a innocent marketing error. It may be fishy and Linsoul trying to drive sales to the more expensive Tea Pro SE. Who knows. It's also possible they revised the OG Tea Pro to be all resin. I've not seen anything that would confirm this is the case and it would change the sound, so I doubt it. Regardless, I think it's worth pointing out so that people are aware. The OG Tea Pro is still an excellent IEM and many folks prefer the tuning against the new SE version and it can be bought for quite a bit cheaper. It's almost always on sale. I got mine for less than $250 USD during the 11.11 sales. Sure the SE is probably great as well and it the packaging and accessories look amazing. Hey everyone, I’m looking to buy my first serious IEM and my budget is around $300. I could also consider used IEMs that originally retailed for around $400 if they’re available used closer to $300. I’ll mainly be using them for single-player gaming campaigns, movies, and TV shows, and of course music. I listen to a wide variety of genres, so I’m looking for something versatile. My biggest priorities are soundstage and imaging since I really want that immersive feeling and good positional cues in games. Right now I’m strongly considering the **Softears Volume S**, and maybe the **Mangird Tea Pro** if I can find one at a good price. From what I’ve read, they both seem like solid all-rounders with good technical performance. I’ve read through the community-made IEM tier list already, but I’m really looking for more personal opinions and experiences from you guys, especially for my specific use case. I’m very open to other recommendations if there’s something in this price range that does soundstage and imaging better, especially for immersion. Would really appreciate any suggestions or comparisons. Thanks.

For $50- Artti T10 always and forever! I strongly recommend pushing up your budget $20 for a Hidisz mp145. It's one of very few in that price range where I noticed a bigger soundstage and better seperation. I loooove big soundstage and seperation, but for whatever reason, I find it's very rare in IEMs. The stage all just kinda felt the same to me. For example the Tea Pro is excellent, it sounds amazing, and so clear... But the soundstage felt just as small as the $20 IEMs. Even bone conduction, which is supposed to be the holy grail of soundstage didn't do much for me (BGVP DMA and Kiwi Ears Etude) Again, they sound great, but little soundstage improvement. Then I tried the ISN H60 and it was a revelation. I finally I got what I was looking for! And recently I borrowed a QoA Martini and it's even bigger. I have no idea what they do differently to 95% of other IEMs, but they feel special. And for $120, the MP145 is the closest option I've tried.
