neutraliems “Basshead IEMS”Heyy so I’m looking for some advice for anyone who’s heard what the Martilo, Explorer & Arcadia sound like (or other basshead iems.) I love my Explorer especially the way it does the rumble, textures, imaging, bounce and smoothness and i wanted something similar just doing what I’ve already mentioned even better and with much more bounce. Originally i went with the Martilo because it’s got good bass and good resolution and whilst it’s very good at what it does i find it sounds more like a better Defiant than anything similar to the Explorer. At this point I don’t know whether to be impressed with the Defiant and underwhelmed with the Martilo or what as i originally didn’t think much of the defiant especially when comparing it to the explorer but now I realise how much they must be punching above their weight to sound so similar to the martilo. Basically here comes my question after doing a bit of research I’ve landed on the Arcadia as it has an L shaped signature like the Explorer and wanted to know how close they actually sound to the explorer?? Also do they have better or worse rumble? Still smooth? As full bodied? Resolution, textures and imaging in comparison? Does it scale well or does the treble become a problem? Or are there any other iem that are closer but that just does everything better with more oomph? My issue with the Martilo is that it just doesn’t have the same rumble or note weight. Its resolution is nice and clear but the bass is very pointed in one specific area that gets fatiguing quickly and is both not enough and yet too much. I think i need a meatier signature something thick with mad rumble but with smooth treble. I know theres also the TMSR Armour but I’ve been hesitant to order from penon but if you think they’d fit better any info on that would also help! Detailed comparisons and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! PS Defiant lovers who want to upgrade def get the Martilo as you certainly won’t be disappointed!

positiveiems “Thank you for the advice”A few week ago I came to this subreddit asking for advice for my first IEM. Today I got the Juzear Defiant. I used them for the las 3 hours and so far Im very happy. They look amazing (it was a great upgrade from Juzear to also add a new color cable for the green model since it was a great complain in all reviews I saw). The sound I cannot be very objective but I like it, they sound way better than my previous Bluetooth Jabra, the thing I noticed the most is the upgrade in the vocals. And so far 3 hours in the are very comfortable. I will update over time with more use but so far very happy for the price I paid. So thank you a lot guys.

neutraliems “How to keep my iem properly after use?”I recently bought juzear defiant and since for me it's quite an expensive purchase i want to use it for as long as possible so if i keep my iems like this in the photo, after use, that is just by closing the box lid without closing the chain(I have kept one dessicant sillica gel and also oxygen absorbent sachets), will there be any problem on the sound quality or overall lifespan?? Or do i have to keep it sealed in the given box after use all the time I use it daily as my primary iem So plz let me know your thoughts, i would love to get some advices on this

neutraliems “Weirdly specific need for recommendations in the 100$ range”Okay, for preface - My current IEMs: KZ EDC Pro Music I listen to: Rock (eg. Twenty One Pilots, also J-Rock) Pop (eg. Caroline Polachek) Rap (eg. Kanye) Orchestrals (eg. Grand busy soundtracks) Anime soundtracks (eg. Music with Complex, chaotic harmony) What I liked in music: Warmth of the lower mid range Sparkle Technicality and details (sitting down and listening for every single detail in music is a big hobby of mine) Air and Soundstage (LOVE IT) So far, the JUZEAR Defiants, the Truthear Zero:Red and Zero:Blue2 and the TruthEar Pure. I've been through the megathread and the pinned recommendations. The main problem for me is that I've NEVER looked into the 100$ price range of iems, so reading people talking about these iems and saying "it's good for the price, the bass is good for its price" blah blah makes ZERO sense to me. I would love it if someone could tell me how much of a difference I can expect if I'm jumping from 10$ iems to 100$ iems. Thanks a lot!!

neutraliems “First IEM, under 100 eur, faceplate pretty”Hey everyone, I decided to purchase IEMs after reading your comments - typically I use JBL elite actives or Sony xm4s and it is time to branch out. I have an iphone 13 and a macbook for connection (I may upgrade or leave iphone, but for now I have to use this port). I am thinking of a few options: * **BLON BL03 II** * **Celest Wyvern Black Remaster** * **Juzear defiant** * **\*\* + possibly the Moondrop Chu II cable** Requirements: * Under 100 eur * Mic inclusive for taking calls * Pretty faceplate, organic shape, iridescent or metal, maybe wood lacquer I do not expect fit to be an issue but if anyone can compare the JBL elite actives to IEM fit/weight I would appreciate it. I will also likely stick with a lightning to aux dongle (for now). Let me know your thoughts, thank you!
