“I was extremely happy with HyperX Cloud 2, no idea what the latest gen is, used them for years, later on I switched to open back ones, simply cannot compare the sound to closed back, but you hear everything around you and everyone else hears what you hear, and currently rocking IEMs as I grew tired of headphone head.”

iems “For people who insist on gaming with IEMs — why do you use IEMs?”

Headphones are too heavy in general. I sweat a lot too and it feels uncomfortable on your ears. I was a hyperx alpha user before, don’t get me wrong, the headphones are great over all. But it really gets heavy over long periods of play, henced, switched to IEMs. - I get great music and I don’t feel the weight on my head.

headphoneadvice “Looking for some solid headphone recommendations”

I’ve been using HyperX Cloud Orbit S (with Audeze planar drivers) and honestly I’ve loved the sound, but the build quality has been a disaster. The sound signature really worked for me: clean, detailed, strong bass, great separation, and they handled high volume really well. Unfortunately the structural durability just isn’t there. I mostly listen to heavy metal and extreme subgenres but I do also listen to dnb, minimal, and techno. I need something that can deliver powerful bass and sub-bass, but without turning everything into mud. I still want clarity, clean mids, and solid highs. What I’m looking for: \- Closed-back \- Preferably wireless \- Good build quality / durability \- Can run well without needing external DAC or amp \- Can handle loud listening without falling apart \- Sound quality is the main priority \- Mic isn’t important Budget is around €400, but I could stretch a little if there’s something genuinely worth spending more on. Basically I’m after something that can match or outperform the Orbit S sound-wise, while being built better but I'm afraid that completely moving away from Audeze's planar drives will affect negatively my listening experience. Any suggestions?

headphoneadvice “Looking for good gaming headphones”

As the title says i'm looking for a gaming headset – as my current Steelseries Arctis 5 (pretty old ones) are slowly falling apart, I'm mostly focused on the microphone and the sound quality, the bass doesn't need to be as hearable (but an equalizer built in an app would come in handy, and i'm also not an expert so that's why im coming here for advice). As for the budget it would be around 110 USD i think (I'm from Poland so if there are people from EU it would help even more) I heard that HyperX Cloud III are not bad, but while i'm at it, I dont mind wireless or normal ones, as i'm comfortable with both ‐ it all comes to the sound quality, the other ones i was looking at were Steelseries Nova 3's but i saw more harsh opinions on those, sooo i would really appreciate any advice and recommendations! Edit: I found Arctis Nova 5 Wireless, and they don't seem so bad either, so i'm looking forward to opinions, especially as i'm not an audiophile.

headphones “r/headphones Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk”

Hey yall, I've been running hyperx cloud alpha s for the past near-decade but its falling apart at the seams and Im looking for something to replace it. Music and surround sound gaming and movies are what I use them for. I never used the built in mic, always in my life Ive been using an external mic. Dont really like my experiences with open backs as I live in a place with a lot of background noise. Before I had the hyperx's I had ATH-M50s until like 2019ish where they broke. I definitely prefer closed back or semi-open like the hyperx has. I think I used to have an amp with the audio technicas but I dont have one anymore. If need be I can get a new one. I have a budget of around $200 and I want something like the hyper x cloud or the ath-m50s but preferably without a useless mic and no fake materials that shed off. Thanks in advance <3
