“Yep I have to agree here! Also I REALLY love deep bass so Deuce's with his EQ settings are my end game for now. I was blown away how well these play anything I throw at them, even classical music and stuff with female vocals so I have no reason to upgrade any time soon.”

iems “What IEM would be a major upgrade from juzear defiant.”

as the title says, i love my defiants, they sound so rich, perfect for me, i like "musical" music, like instrumentals, soundtracks, edm. but i also like the highend instruments. i also own the fatfreq decue, while amazing rumble on them, i use them to listen to EDM and while bike riding (for their fit). i prefer the balance of the defiants. i boosted the bass to my preference, almost basshead levels. while retaining the clarity. i love the bass texture of the defiants. the imaging is also very good. SO what should i buy in the next 6-9 months. under 500$ only. i need to save up to buy. The Martillo is a recommendation i get a lot.

iems “DucBloke's Ranking”

It's a subjective hobby. His PEQ settings made my FF Deuce sound better to me with the music tracks I usually listen to, so I think my sound preferences are probably similar to his. So yes I do refer to his rankings, but most of the IEMs he reviews are too expensive for what I want to spend on this hobby.

Well put, the fatfreq iems I have, have a "subwoofer in the trunk" sound to them that couldn't possibly work for all arounder iems

iems “Suggestions for a bass heavy iem”

I own 1 and 4. For what you're after, between those two I'd go the deuce if you're not adverse to eq'ing. It's a sub bass monster, especially with the impedance adaptor, but lacks a bit in midbass for my tastes. Music that is mixed with bass in mind sounds mega with the stock tuning, but it can sound a bit thin in music that isn't as bass heavy (eg rock) compared to the Diablo, which is basically the complete opposite (warm and midbass heavy, lacking a little in sub bass comparatively) - better for rock but lacks the insane sub impact that the deuce has. Can't comment on the other two other than I see a lot of people recommending the koto ito. It looks to have a more balanced sub/midbass but maybe a bit tamer? Graphs can lie though.

He's sinned. Can never be forgiven. /s Anyway, the Deuce is a great set, but it's more of an EDM specialist imo. I wouldn't suggest it as a bassy allrounder. For that... The Xenns Tea Pro is your best bet. It's a little outside tour price range though. At $250..... Look for a sale on the Softears Volume S I think.
