headphones “I have loads of cans but these cheap junky ones sound best”

I’m starting to think this way. I’m already offloading my dongles, DACs, and amps. Those were snake oil, would have appreciated if someone had told me up front that an apple dongle works just as good. I have a small collection of cans and IEMs. Problem is, I only ever listen to 1) My accentums because they’re cheap enough to live at work, or 2) my AirPods, because I don’t wanna fuck around with headphones. What’s the point of a headphone collection when I only have one set of ears? It’s not even really a collection, more a line of wreckage as I try to find a better sound.

headphones “Hedd Audio D1 - Better than I expected”

I like the D1 as well, even more with the 150 ohm Adapter that DMS suggested (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=U6garpb9QLM), it makes the sound warmer and lowers the treble which makes it perfect for me. And yes, EQ can do this as well and probably better but I will need some time for that and this is a cheap an easy quick fix. And yes, it takes away some of the clean and more detailed sound of the stock tuning so it is a matter of preference. Regarding the capra strap: If this is the original strap for the D1 - can you do me the favour and meassure the dimensions? I have the assumption that the strap for the D1 is exactly the same strap as for the Sennheiser Accentum/Momentum 4 and if that is the case it would be great, since I can get this one cheaper.

headphoneadvice “Space Q45 vs CMF Headphone Pro”

As the title suggests, I've mostly narrowed it down between these two. I'm trying to stay under $100usd for my budget. I would get Sennheiser Accentum or Momentums if I wanted to spend more, but I really don't, so they're off the table for now. What I need. Comfort for daily use. Good balanced sound. I listen to a lot of different genres. Decent ANC. Right now the Q45s are $89 through Costco, while the CMFs are $79 at Amazon. From my research the Q45s seem to have the better sound and possibly better ANC, though I'm not sure on that part. Where I'm less clear is the comfort. The CMFs seem to have smaller ear cups, and I do have fairly large ears. But they also have more padding I believe. I also like that the ear pads are easily replaceable, as they tend to wear out within a year for most headphones I've used. I wouldn't necessarily call myself and audiophile, but I do appreciate good sound. I miss my hifi wired earbuds I used to use daily until they broke and I finally gave in to Bluetooth. Soundstage is probably the most important factor, but comfort is a close second. I wear headphones daily while I work for as long as they remain comfortable. So the main question, for those who may have experience, is the sound of the Q45s that much better than the CMFs? How many of you have changed out the ear pads on the Q45s? Is it that hard to do?

headphoneadvice “My left ear hurts after using headphones only for around 10 mins”

So i started using Sennheiser Accentum, which have a non removable anc/transparency mode. Even after just 10 mins of listening I can feel my left hear hurting a bit inside, and the volume was around half only. This is the first time I have used headphones after long, used to use only earphones before.

headphoneadvice “Are Sennheiser Accentum Plus at $130 USD a good price?”

Looking to buy my first pair of wireless headphones and I’m seeing the Accentum Plus are 50% off on Amazon. I’m looking to spend between 100-150 on a pair and it seems to me like this would be the best option for the price range. Should I be taking any other models into account? I’m looking primarily for quality sound (for the price range) for mostly around the house usage. Any advice is appreciated!
