Nari Ultimate

I'm looking for a good pair of headphones to get my boyfriend for his birthday. He's a software engineer, plays a lot of video games, and listens to music all day. I want a pair that will fit his daily routine. At work, he's in meetings all day, so I'd like them to have good noise isolation, a reliable Bluetooth connection, and good audio quality. Five years ago, I gave him a pair of Razer Nari Ultimate headphones thinking they'd be good and long-lasting, but the Bluetooth started failing after a few months, and after a year, he had to use them exclusively with a cable, and they also had audio problems. I live in Spain, and my budget is around €200-€300. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm looking for new headphones for PC gaming to replace my Nari Ultimates that are, unsurprisingly, failing. I've seen several posts that suggest I can get much better sound quality at he same price point by not getting a "gaming" headset, and I'm definitely interested in paying for better sound instead of RGB I can't hear or see, along with a peek into the world of quality audio. I use a HyperX Quadcast, so an integrated mic doesn't matter. **Must haves:** \- The chat mixer knob was a game changer for me. Whatever I get next needs this in some form. I'm open to solutions other than an integrated headphone feature as long as I don't have to alt+tab out of my game to mess with volume levels. \- Being able to hear around me. I would like to hear when my wife is talking to me or if the pets are getting into some shenanigans. Ambient mode ANC seems like the best solution, but open-back headphones could work, too. My only concern is my mic picking up the headphones. \- Over-ear. Anything in or on my ear makes it ache after a couple hours. Even light pressure from shallow over-ear headphones has been an issue in the past. **Nice to have:** Wireless. I enjoy being able to follow friends' conversations when I have to step away for a moment. **Previous Gear:** Razer Nari Ultimate. I didn't have any issues with sound quality, which shows you how low the bar sits (maybe it's the tinnitus). I think they're pretty comfortable, if a bit heavy. I blame the "haptic" rumble feature, which the app quit talking to after less than a year. They also had THX spatial audio for a bit before it became a premium feature, but I never really noticed a difference outside of the demo. **Price point:** $200 or less, ideally. However I see the Arctic Nova Pro's recommended a lot for people with similar requirements and the hot swap battery feature is very attractive, so I guess I'd be willing to go to $350 for something that goes above and beyond.
