neutralespresso “Brand new to the espresso game. My first setup.”Probably the most common beginner set up but I am loving it and the journey so far. I have only ran through probably 6 cycles but got it where I'm enjoying the taste right now. Will continue to make small adjustments and dial it in more. I went to a local coffee shop that roasts their own beans. The problem is they put them in the the big dispensers not individual bags. Reluctantly I got some of those before I found out that's a no no. Why would they do that (besides the obvious reasoning being the cost of labor to individually bag them). I haven't had any luck locally finding freshly roasted beans within a 30 day freshness period. neutralsuperautomatic “Looking for a punchy milk coffee”I’ve got the Philips 3300 and I’ll preface I only like strong coffee. So far I’ve found 3 buttons to supply very decent coffee - cafe au lait, flat white and just “coffee”. The rest are pretty weak. That said I’m very happy with it. The cappuccino and latte on all machines will loosely meet their respective definitions. My parents have the delonghi and I found the temperature too low and the coffee to be much weaker than my machine.
