DCC-1200 Brew Central Coffee Maker

Hello! Due to a genetic condition, my cousin is losing her sight and will be fully blind within 10 years. She has resigned herself to plastic K-cups for her morning coffee but I want to get her a better system because she deserves good coffee! Its one of her favorite parts of her day and she drinks like 4 cups a day. It needs to be tactile or with large display options, she likes "just a plain cup of good coffee" (i.e. is not looking for espresso machines) but I would like to get her a machine that grinds fresh coffee and get her a nice coffee subscription -- basically make everything as easy as possible. So I guess main things I am looking for are easy to use, tactile buttons/dials/etc., single cup and pot option, grinds the beans for max freshness, easy to clean/add water/take out used grinds. Budget is under $300 ideally. Any coffee connoisseurs have good suggestions? **Update**: Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions and kind words. For various home-life reasons and other mental health reasons, she is not yet at a place of acceptance of her condition and isn't ready to do any sort of intervening therapies, in fact she hasn't had the heart to even see her eye specialist in 2 years. I am working with her on this and hopefully together we can tackle this - but for now coffee! As a very busy business lady and lawyer in NY with a young kid, she prefers the simplest and least time-consuming options, and since the vision is degrading out-to-in, she will still be able to read things for a while. She does not want bells and whistles so I think either a French Press option or a Cuisinart pour-over might be a good next step (We just really want her to stop drinking out of hot plastic asap). This is really thoughtful of you. Given what you described, keeping things simple and tactile makes the most sense. A French press paired with a basic burr grinder (physical button + dial) is probably the easiest, most accessible upgrade from K‑cups and still makes great coffee. If she prefers drip‑style, a simple Cuisinart drip or pour‑over machine with large buttons and minimal settings can also work well. Less automation, fewer steps = less stress.

I do break out the Cuisinart when there's a lot of people over and they're adding creamer. it's fine, but noticeably levels below the moccamaster.
